You are correct, coconut oil does not contain protein. It may adversely affect some heads of hair, but it's not due to protein. I love coconut oil...as a food item, skin care and hair care. But God made so many natural haircare ingredients - there's something for everyone 😊 I gotta check out the Mielle and Honey's Handmade dc's.

I was on a protein-free kick minute for a while (until I got moisture overload and learned my lesson on moisture protein balance) and have never tried any of these products. Definitely need to add these to my list to purchase when I use up my current moisture conditioners. TFS!
NaturallyNetty That’s why I love Green Beauty protein. I just add a tablespoon to my protein free/moisture only deep conditioners to get a protein/ moisture balance. For a more intensive protein treatment, I just follow the instructions on the bottle of the Green beauty bottle. This works for me, I still get to try all the moisture only conditioner alone or add green beauty as needed.

The miche beauty protein deep conditioner is also moisturizing like the indulge one. So I plan on stocking the protein deep conditioner cuz gurl it was like balance heaven 😍😍😍. But I need to get on the honeys handmade deep conditioners train.

The miche conditioner has marshmallow root, which has some protein. So I’d say be careful with it but it’s still good.
