That's what I got the most out of this video. They synced so well that they pretty much knew what each other will say. Never seen Neil with someone he connected so well with.
I love this format. Just two buddies hanging out talking and joking about. Bill Nye has always been a favorite to watch growing up as a kid. Thumbs up! Please bring more content like this.
When I was single and still had spare money dear sirs I gladly paid into the Planetary Society and helped make the tinfoil fly (lol) and my name is also on the ceramic disc. Sadly I no longer am a member as I built a house, got a lovely wife and 2 great children so had to pass my spot on to someone else. It is so great to see Mr Nye running the show and also finding out Neil was there too. Thank you for all you two have done and will do. Happy New Year.
When I subbed in middle school science and I showed Bill’s motion videos the kids would all say “bill! Bill! bill! Bill”. They love his science explanation videos.
"I think his wife helped him produce that....." OMG BILL!!!! How did you not slay the room with that one, I had to pause to let the laughter complete. True to form, bravo.
Man I used to watch Bill show when I was a kid. Glad to see he's still upright and in good health. I enjoyed this conversation between two intelligent human beings.
"I'm quite familiar with Dr. Tyson. He's responsible for the demotion of Pluto from planetary status. I liked Pluto." -Sheldon Cooper B.S., M.S., M.A., Ph. D., Sc. D.
I visited the office back in 2019. Had a whistle stop tour from the lovely lady that was on the reception desk. Loved seeing the Cosmos Mars landscape, the recording studio and other things. Unfortunately no Bill Nye or anyone in the office on that day... I was staying next door for Monsterpalooza and just happened to realise i was across the road!
Congratulations Bill! So happy to see you on the news today for the medal! You've shaped part of our childhood with curiosity in science! Thank you! Wishing you and family safety, good health, happiness and joy at the simplest of pleasures while spreading smiles wherever you go!
I had pulled up my Star Talk "saved" on Google. All had been deleted except this one - how wonderfully glad I am, not to have missed this one! Thank you both for this episode, from a 78 year old "Star Talkie." Thoroughly enjoyed this episode.
Nothing more enjoyable than just sitting here watching a video and giggling while two nerds go at it AND at the same time I learned something new. Why can't the world have more of this?...
Pluto may not be considered a planet by strict scientific interpretation anymore, but it is still a part of our solar family, and just as welcome as any other comet, asteroid, etc. in our solar neighborhood. 🌌
Everyone keeps saying Pluto is not a planet. By scientific standards and in the very next sentence they call it a micro planet. So what's the deal it is or isn't
I hope the bill understand how important he has been in the influence of science culture in the past 30 years he is a legend I watched his science videos in Edmonton Alberta Canada love both of you guys
I love that they are both talking to each about everything like either of them don't know what the other is talking about, but it's just them taking the opportunity to teach us the viewers
Neil got the second equation completely wrong: it's cos(x) + i*sin(x), not sin(x) - i*cos(x)! If you plug in x=pi into Neil's version, you get that the exponential is equal to i, not to -1, lol.
At around 5:43 ... you can see first attempt landed perfectly on the surface, Immediately followed with the 2nd attempt (minus editing for time it takes to make a hundred tries before finally.....) him got a textbook gravity assist to leave the solar system trajectory. Straight up could sit and listen to you two explain where all the theories theorems and equations come from. I absolutely love how you guys explain stuff. And your animations are on point!
Which place would you like Neil and Bill to visit next?!
the iss?
prolly not possible, how about random museums???
when's the next cosmic queries?
The Cast Of ALMOST LIVE !!!
And do another episode of Bill Nye the Science Guy 😂
.... that would be EPIC
LHC 😮😮
To Dr. Tatiana's because we need a show with those three.
The vibe of the music coupled with two buddies visiting each other and the editing is so relaxing - this video was very well done.

Anyone found the song title from the end of this?

I have to agree...what is the music/who did it?
Great video, great camaraderie...!
Neil: "Why is he holding a baby?"
Bill: "His wife helped him produce it i think."

laughed for 5 min
Who knew scientists had such comic delivery.
Bill is hilarious!
Dam u was the first
@@Species1571 Bill Nye used to be a comedian in Seattle.
I'd love more of this kind of StarTalk content
A tour through the Hayden Planaterium would be fantastic
Going to visit SpaceX and Blue origin etc would be sick
I'd love that. But sadly it would hurt their operations funding :(
wasn't hot girl heroes that heal named Hayden her last name or was pizza guy that football player was last name ?
This needs to happen asap!!
I walked through it last January when we visited NY!
Bill Nye being able to keep up with Neil's sense of humour is delightful. It's a really comfortable duo, I hope they can get together more often.
That's what I got the most out of this video. They synced so well that they pretty much knew what each other will say. Never seen Neil with someone he connected so well with.

"Because I love the place"
Oh my lord this is so wholesome
Bill is so authentic ❤
The thing I love about Bill Nye is he's actually a science guy
Not actually. How do you trust anyone who doesn’t know what a woman is?
@@phoenixskeptic7698 Better than trusting somebody who merely thinks that they know.
@@jpdemer5 What's a "woman"?

@@phoenixskeptic7698 sorry that your brain is too small to know what a social construct is 😢
Bill is the GOAT. I'm so glad he's still around.
Love these types of conversations- my cup of tea
More like show and tell type of a conversation between super dope geeks- smart guys 😅
i can well imagine one or both pulling out a flask of tea,
or something..
greetings from the uk.. 🙂 x
The only thing that could have made this better would be if Carl Sagan was still around to join your tour.
He died tho
Carl was an actual scientist, these guys are frauds
Sagan would be perplexed that Bill is LARPing as a scientist
just two of the most important bros to millions of people hanging out
Indeed. Just revel in the revelness, lol.
A++ 😂❤❤❤❤
Im going to start using BC to describe the time Before Covid 😂
Seriously though, covid was significant enough such that it divided people's lives into 2 sections ... Financial ruin, career changes, divorce, et c.
Right?! We needed a quick term to refer to the time before, and it's perfect!
I always enjoy seeing these two team up. I'd like to see Neil and Bill visit N.A.S.A's headquarters. You could do a multipart episode on that visit.
How about each facility to see what they are working on?
Great idea
I love Bill and Neil’s friendship. ❤

two best nerds on the planet, thank you....

Love seeing these two legends casually talking about formulas and physicals without missing a beat.

Please have Bill on Star Talk Pod more often. PLEASE
It is great to see you guys hanging out together
I never did get tired of hearing the theme song to Bill's show. It's nice seeing these two together having a good time.
I was one of the lucky few that got this in my name to Mars. I forgot all about that until Bill mentioned it.

"Not" Pluto is a Planet - The Planet Killer
Lol. I feel sorry for Pluto, as most you guys do.
Pluto may not be considered a planet by strict scientific interpretation anymore, but it is still a part of our solar family, and just as welcome as any other comet, asteroid, etc. in our solar neighborhood. 🌌
I don't. It's an inanimate object. It has no feelings. It's been properly reclassified.
It's all fun and games until flat earthers come to stage

Bill Nye has always been funny and well spoken, as a kid his show was a must see every day after school.

There is also a jump in the video, Neil probably had to look up Euler’s equation. But not bad, he isn’t a mathematician
bruh it is not that serious he is getting a tour of the building.... Enjoy things.
