Well this is and epic book i can now have an army of knights and titans running alongside my marines or auxilia just what the fellblades to get models and its other varieties
Thank you for the review! Sadly Titans are seriously over costed in LI with the notable exception of the infamous Warmaster. Unfortunately there is no balance in having them not being able to take and hold objectives because they have superior firepower and durability. You are correct though, the Necromunda team and the LI team do seem to be using the same playbook for their games. The design is poor and the points don't matter. That said I love the game and we have plenty of "guidelines" form which to be able to create balanced games and scenarios for ourselves.
The best release for the game so far, but if "at least 2 Armigers for every Knight" works well for HH then why not LI? All GW has to do is release an Armigers & Household Guard infantry box - a single kit - and they'll have made Knights into a very feasible force. And what is GW's plan for Titanicus? If its sticking around then they should do the next book, or even AT-40K. But this is a good release nonetheless.
@@Saltymeatman It would be great if they're releasing the Dark-Mech units a bit later to coincide with a new Adeptus Titanicus book. As far as I know Dark-Mech don't have allegiance rules for AT, so I guess the terminals are at least a good omen.
Dedicated Battlegroups for both Astartes and Solar Auxilia are available from GW already! Definitely the best way to go when getting into the game, and much better than the mixed style they went with for the starter set.
Overlord stalker death stars will be unstoppable without a warmaster titan. The point efficiency is crazy. 2+ save and 2W and 2 bonus shields for 85-75 points depending on size of group is crazy. The 6 model blobs gets 12 shield bubbles to clear before even one wound can be inflicted. Baneblades are sooo far behind this level of power.
I find the scoring in this game really bad. Progressive scoring turn by turn is silly as the default - who owns the bridge at the end of the day matters way more than who spent the morning standing in it. And it's really dumb when 5 guardsmen in a hole secure an objective when standing a living god-engine on it leaves it unsecured. I might try stealing the older Epic: Armageddon scoring system or NetEpic Gold scoring for it.
My only question is how many sprues are in the box? I think its probably 8 so 4 normal boxes which is pretty good deal, it's just hard to figure out where the split is.
Pre ordered one on Saturday, going to do them as Zhao-Arkhad to go with my thousand sons, was just going to do an allied detachment but looks like I'll have enough plus titans to do a full force as well.
The Ordo Reductor Subdivision makes no sense. It requires two Bastion units, but the only Bastion units are Thanatar, which are a Legio Cybernetica unit (granted the laser one has connections to Reductor... but not enough to justify it being a forced choice). And worse, Thallax, which are the quintessential Reductor infantry, cannot be included! Neither can Myrmidons.
Right now they are for legions only. However, the basic marines have a solid approximation of secutarii, so I’m likely to get some proxies printed, and then run them with termite transports.
Thanatar is oddly not tougher than the Arlatax, Castellax, or Domitar. All are 4+, 2W. Thanatar is at a heavy wounds per point disadvantage versus space marine dreadnoughts. This puts Thanatars in a strange place where they are really better shooters than tanks.
everything looks amazing, but honestly I refuse to touch this game anymore until they do an FAQ - it's ridiculous that it's taken this long. 4 expansion books and there are holes in the main rules you could drive a truck through.
Ad Mech box looks like such a good deal, and I'm incredibly happy with the Dark Mech models. All around, this looks like so much fun.
Gonna get into Legion Imperialis with the Dark Mechanicum.
I see Legions Imperialis I click! Best GW game ever! ) except maybe Warmaster.
Titanicus is the best game for rulebook. LI it is nice and fun
I am unreasonably excited for this!
Wow! Thanks Ash!

Hope to see you play some legions imperialis soon
Several games booked!
Great review! Really enjoy watching your reviews and Legions Imperialis games!

Amazing, so much waiting for this.

They did say AT terminals were included for the dark mech walker boxes

Saturday morning reviews! 🎊 🎉🥳

Is it just me or does anyone else think the unit names sound like you’re in the middle of an IKEA store?
Assault isn't exploding 6s, it lets you double your shooting dice if you are within 1/2 of the weapons range.
47:48 They've released one for Astartes and one for Solar Auxilia. They came out a couple months ago. :)
Just got mine - my first Mechanicus models - look really cool, but suprised that there was no transfers
Looking forward to the mechanicum box, a bit annoyed it doesn’t have a transfer sheet though. Hopefully the 28mm mechanicum transfers fit on them
Hey Games Wokshop release the defense of magma city box set where I get both full armies and the terrain.

I loves me some Titans and Knights but in LI they really aren’t very good. It’s cool to have the option to play them as a full faction still.

Hoping get the Ulator in the future
Im new to this can you use the drill thingis for admech, i saw a video some time ago were they were transports for the old horus heresy game?

The thumbnail si wrong. Showing the HH battlegroup not LI. Great video tho!
Fixed good catch! Damn products with the same name hahaha
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames it's incredibly confusing tbh, I have to reread my cart lol

So a Triaros can transport 2 Thanatars because it has the Large Transport rule?
So good
What do the Battlesmith Special Rule of the Archmagos?
No Dark Mech Thanatar?? 😢😢

Neat? Yes. Affordable… not anymore… :(
of course dark mech comes to the trashies game that nobody plays
