Btw, I just paid $9.00 this morning at grocery store for those cuties/mandarins/nectarines you always are able to find. I bought 3 bags (the small-regular plastic bags) of groceries and my total was $102.00. I think my grocery store has gone up tremendously these last two weeks.

as far as getting wet, I hate having any type of clothing wet on me, from socks to cuffs. Taking a shower, swimming, doesn't faze me. But wet clothing, even the smallest wet spot on my socks, I will have to replace and put on dry! So funny you feel the same way! Love your videos.

I have heard about Farms needing to dump milk and destroy lots of things due to processing plants being closed 😥 So sad that Farms could have food to provide people in need but no way to get it to them. We just priced mirrors like that for our bathroom makeover and they were over $300. I found one at a thrift shop for $15, the one you got is perfect! You always amaze me, just the dog treats alone were worth the effort, and you came home with a nice mirror and some groceries. Well done, Amy.
Omgosh I hit 1 dumpster today. In a mask and gloves, and got a case,yes case, of bananas! I haven't gotten bananas ever! Cut and froze a lot. Will do another batch tomorrow, and make some bread to drop at my sons' houses.

well, i know it's not as good as the actual kibble, but those big 50lb dogfood bags if slashed at an end rather than the middle, are GREAT for growing potatoes in without using much soil (couple of drainage holes in the bottom)... 2" of dirt, a sprouting dumpster potato, cover with about six inches of dirt and as the plant grows and you need to "hill up" use straw, grass clippings, leaves...and if the dumpster potato has blight (yeah, they sell 'em particularly small potatoes that were "saved" from blight--look for the brown circles) then the spores don't transfer to your yard soil.
I didn't know that about growing stuff in old dog food. I did know about hilll around tomato plants. I loved growing stuff in the garden with my Dad. He was the love of my life.
I was up at 4 am this morning, it's hard on everyone, my daughter feels like Summer Vacation, and she should not have to do school, but she know she should. Hubby, still is working thankfully, but yes it is tense time's.

I think if we felt some reassurance that there was a coordinated response to Covid 19, we might feel more hopeful... Good hauls this time - even a mirror! Here in Texas they donate the food to the food bank and the food bank helps the let's less fortunate sometimes to be able to feed their animals
I'm in San Antonio! Our lines for food at the food bank made the national news yesterday! No food should be going to waste- even animal food, right?!
