I absolutely love your videos man, thanks for all the knowledge and info. Only thing that personally bugs me is the super low microphone bumps every 2 seconds. You can edit the entire video before upload with a low frequency cutoff let's say at 150hz or something that would fix it.

I wonder, would the evo 10 motor swap work on a 2017 lancer? Thats what I currently have(should have bought an evo lol). I always wanted to make a “2017 evo “ into a reality, so seeing the red lancer getting it done gives me hope. Also this video was real informative, I’ll send it to my friends who currently own evo 10s!
You can do it! LoL check out the clubs in Facebook, there's lots of good info going on there and some reputable tuners are active. Mitsubishi Lancer Turbo Club, Lancer Legion, Lancer Nation, just to name a few. All sorts of modified lancers
My car kept stalling when it gets hot. I was told me the mivec cams needed adjusting, it sorted out until I got it remapped and now it stalls again. Would deleting the mivec cams resolve this issue?

Hey, do you think a 2008 GT (JDM) with a 2.0L 4b11 can take a 4b11t straight drop in with the 6spd SST transmission? I know there has to be some modification done to it regarding the electrical system but I'm talking as for fitting it into the chassis.
This is helpful as I want to mod my Lancer into an Evo, also completely new to the modding scene and the aftermarket scene. What would you suggest that I do in order to get started? And what kind of research do I need to do?

Is the electrics the same for the 4b11T and a normal lancer motor?
Several people have done this swap. The manual transmission from the 2008 and up gt and gts lancers can handle decent power you just need to upgrade the clutch or the clutch will slip. The clutch and the tires the weakest links basically. Personally it’s a lot of money for not much benefit imo. I drive a 2.4l lancer 2011 as a daily. And I can spin the tires like crazy and I just have some basic bolt ons
Putting some mivec deletes on this build I’m doing after the billet housing for exhaust cam is getting stuck.
When installing the magnus cams do I leave them at 0 degrees for EX and IN?

Yes as a starting point. Alot depending on the cams ur using.
@@bdalchemist thanks for the reply and I’m using ams stage 2 cams similar to the s2’s it’s a built block, built head, stock frame modified turbo 3582 running on 114 octane, aiming for 650-700whp

BD great video!! I have a few questions, my exhaust cam gear housing went out on me, so I upgraded to the torque solution housing, and GSC S2 cams, and the map sensor went out as well, so I went with omni power 4 bar, the map sensor is not yet calibrated. I am going to get the car tune on Wednesday. I drove the car and it says that the camshaft position timing over advance. Do you think the code is cause my the change with the cams, and the housing? Or the map sensor? I was wondering if this is something the tuner can fix on Wednesday. I changed the salenoid, and it is doing the same thing.
Def not map sensor
If it’s the sensor I had an issue with… (looking at engine bay, the front left one)
While inserting the sensor, its orientation is necessary…
there is sections on it that lines up more optimal with the grooves inside the head.
The sensor I’m referring to , is the long slim cylindrical looking , with a lil piston inside of it.
Thats the mivec solenoid ur referring to. It only goes in one way, hence the 10mm bolt that holds it in that position.

in regards to the line up with the 10 mill, yes , although, the way it is fastened , it’s crimped around the insert…and it can sometimes spin inside , losing the correct orientation…

@@bdalchemist I do have a question I own a 2011 mr bone stock if you owned it and wanted to mod it for daily use 400 hp to 600hp range I really wanna go big turbo 6266 but everyone tells me 18k mhi is the way to go of course bigger intercooler ebc uicp and 1200 injectors. What route do you think is best ? And or should I focus on getting tranny built by kosmic first then go big turbo.
