I have the OG and Absolu. There is something I find irritating about Absolu when I spray it initially. I really am blown away by the EDT. I can still smell on my clothes the next day. Strange that it is said it has poor longevity. It smells truthful and unforced.

Profumo was recommended to me by a store attendant when i said i like 1 million but didn't want to smell the same as everybody else. It has since become my favourite and most complimented scent but I haven't tried any other code

@@solomonKachi7000 I sprayed Acqua Essenziale Blu, Best way I can explain Profumo it has this benzoin ambroxan note at base similar to Acqua Essenziale Blu, but with sweetness turned up from tonka bean. As with Absolu, you won't have this ambroxan note at the base. Instead you you'll constantly get is Vanilla and sweetness from tonka bean. So in a way, if you like "blue fragrances", Profumo is going to be the one. I like vanilla fragrances and blue fragrance aspect of Profumo, so I got both of them : ) It's not really redundant to get both.

Colonia is also another good one. u can wear that year round but just have to increase the sprays to maybe 6+ during the cold.i just got profumo and that one is a tonka bomb. i didn't like it. ill wait till winter to give it another go and see if i like it better.

Bro. Just subscribed off of this video. Thank you so much. I love the original Armani Code, but have always been disappointed by the lack of staying power, as well as the lack of projection. And when trying to reach for an alternative it really is hard to make an informed decision, due in large part to the sheer number of these flankers. Tried A-List and after being disappointed by that one as well I actually gave up on the whole line. You gave well reasearched and well said descriptions of each of these scents, while being clear on what differentiates them each other. Will be reaching for the 2021 eau de parfum. Well done.
It's sad they discontinued A list. They also used to have Armani code ultimate I heard that one was amazing. They discontinued all of the ones people would say are the absolute best.
1. Original formulation OG code 2. Profumo 3. Sport 4. Absolu 5. Ultimate There is something completely off putting about the edp after a while. I bought it and I LOVED it at first as it reminded me of the old formulations and started wearing it as my signature Immediately. After a while i hate it and is the only one that gets cloying on me, even Profumo if I go light on the trigger will work in the summer. There is something about it and special blend that I do not like at all after a while. NONE of the others do that and a code has been my signature since 2004
Absolu gold is underrated in my opinion i like it too, the new edp is a heavy lavender scent, slightly soapy with aromatic rosemary and the typical code tonka/vanilla dna.
If you want the Armani Code make sure it's in the original bottle (the non-centred text) otherwise these reformulations only last about 20 minutes (they removed the moss which gave it its strength) and why they changed the design. Profumo smells like vanilla coffee, quite a bad smell after a while. Armani Code Sport Athlete smells like oranges. Armani Diamond smells of cream vanilla, Armani Code Summer is underrated, yet is hard to find. The best version of Armani Code (uses similar ingredients) is YSL La Nuit. (reformulations though have killed this one, as also in the modern Code).

I bought Armani Code Profumo 60ml for the first time in 2018 (in Douglas perfumery, Croatia), best mode fragrance, strong projection, 8+ longevity... I used the entire bottle in two years and in 2021 I bought a new bottle at the same place (Douglas perfumery, Croatia) 110ml batch code 38TD00F (produced in 2020-12) - the same smell, but the performances are NOT EVEN CLOSE - 1-2 hours of moderate projection and up to 5hrs longevity... And then, like everyone else, I started googling if it had been reformulated, and found there are many people who think the same BUT there are many more who say that it is about nose-blindes, skin chemistry and so on... So today, August 11, 2022 (hot weather 25C), I took my 110ml 38TD00F Armani Code Profumo in my office, I went (walk 5 minutes) to the local DM store (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and on my left hand I sprayed twice with the 30ml Armani Code Profumo tester (regular bottle, only white label that say tester pasted over a regular Armani sticker) ... Then I returned to the office and after 5-10 minutes sprayed my 2021 110ml Armani Code Profumo 38TD00F on my right hand... Currently, 4 hours later, smell of Profumo tester in DM store (my left hand) is AMAZING, just my like old Armani Code Profumo from 2018, strong, powerful. Smell of my Profumo 110ml bought in 2021 (my right hand) NOT FELT AT ALL! All my colleagues at work say the same, some say they can smell the fragrance on my right hand but it's not the same and it's much milder and airier AND the smell on my left hand is much stronger... Still when I swing my left hand there is strong scent trail and on my right hand - ALMOST NOTHING... So, my conclusion is that stories about nose-blindes, skin chemistry and similar are nonsense (at least in this case)... Profumo from December 2020 is lot weaker than Profumo from 2018, and Profumo from DM store tested in 2022 is same as my old 2018 Profumo (I can't see the batch code on the tester because a TESTER sticker is pasted over it).

I still love the original. The others are too strong to wear to the gym or church. The original is still the OG and when you learn how it behaves of your skin, you can learn how to spray for compliments in any environment. Will always own a bottle.

These almost all smell the same to varying strengths. That cheap Tonka. Not the nutty kind. That more vanillic cloying kind. Would like to try absolute gold on skin but idk none of these impressed me. Guerlain ideal EDT shares a similar DNA and comes off far more classy.

I think it ultimately depends on how the scent makes you feel. I wear fragrances for me (and when I say that, I don't mean in a "I hose myself down with them & have no regard for how others feel" because that's far from the case). Because obviously getting compliments feel great, but at the end of it all, it's your nose that's inches away from where you sprayed. The main person you should try to impress with a scent is you. I hope any of that makes sense & if it doesn't, I apologize.

Armani Black Code or Code pre 2014 is what you want if you want to be blown away. It's that good.

The original smells baby powderish, if you spray to much your body temp will go up. Ppl can definitely tell your wearing good 80$ cologne.

These almost all smell the same to varying strengths. That cheap Tonka. Not the nutty kind. That more vanillic cloying kind. Would like to try absolute gold on skin but idk none of these impressed me. Guerlain ideal EDT shares a similar DNA and comes off far more classy.

I've always wondered, I mean there is actually no perfume that really smell bad but how do you know that you personally fit with a fragrance? Any tips? Besides asking people all the time how you smell 😅

I think it ultimately depends on how the scent makes you feel. I wear fragrances for me (and when I say that, I don't mean in a "I hose myself down with them & have no regard for how others feel" because that's far from the case). Because obviously getting compliments feel great, but at the end of it all, it's your nose that's inches away from where you sprayed. The main person you should try to impress with a scent is you.
