I’ve been struggling with my mental health for the past few months and this video has shed light on seeking validation and switching off. I enjoyed the narration/voiceover especially towards the beginning of the video. Will look into floatation therapy now, thank you :)
My closest experience to being closed up in a bucket was during COVID when I went for seven mile hikes in the woods in early morning hours (around 4AM) before the sun came up. During the first hour my mind was racing but after that it would be like walking in my sleep. All you can see are the stars guiding your way. The advantage was it not only cleared my mind, but I also got in my two hours of cardio. Zac, great video.

Quieting the mind and body brings about a real perspective change. I haven't done the sensory deprivation float, but I've been meditating for a while, and I usually do so in the dark. It's the antidote to stress.

I float in San Francisco at Reboot and have done Cryo and infrared saunas as well. Did my first float decades ago and find it incredibly valuable. I’m a writer and it’s amazing what ideas pop up. Great to decompress, too. Highly recommend.

This was so interesting to watch and I think we should all (or at least most of us) get the chance to try this and benefit from it.
Although it might not be for everyone, but for example I find it so hard to shut my mind off and I'm constantly aware of everything around me.
Also I'm so uncomfortable with silence because it takes me places I don't want to go but I feel like it's necessary.

I think it’s important for research to experiment with this, my favorite part is probably each day you give an insight in on how you feel and maybe some outliers just to make sure it could not be 100% accurate since it’s only been a few days in.
Awesome definitely think some time away from phones is great. Sensory deprivation isnt needed, sometimes just a walk/swim/hike with no phone is all you need.

Why is your regular bp on the higher side? 🤔 I have lower bp naturally but I try to keep an eye out for it.
Last time I did floatation therapy, I struggled with shutting off my brain until the last 10 mins out of 60. One thing that I think will help next time is if I bring my own zen music, which the facility I went to allows.

I feel like you need to meditate daily for quite some time to really find peace in the tank, otherwise it’s just weird.

From my observations a big percentage of people go and try it, think it’s weird and never go again.
