Nice Kayak I have the same model, I like how you installed the transducer I recently installed mine in the hull of my kayak now I’m rethinking my installation. 16:50
Thank you my friend they are great kayaks I just wish they had reverse! Lol where I mounted mine ….the main reason was I broke one when I had it side mounted and I came up with this idea so I could leave it in one place and not break it!! Lol I have never done a in hull transducer before so I’m not really familiar with how it works but I have several friends who have theirs done in hull and they love it! Thank you for watching and commenting my friend and I appreciate the support 😃👍👊🛶🎣🐟🛶🎣🐟
“God gave you hands and a brain.” I love it! I just bought a Catch Mode 110 and a Garmin Striker 4. I want a simple recessed mount for the transducer. Like you, I’m a “why spend the money when you can do it yourself, and better” guy. Thanks for the video!
You are so very welcome and I’m glad that it helped!! Good luck with your future fishing adventures on your Catch Mode😃👍🎣🐟 and thank you so much for watching and commenting 🙏🙏🙂
Did you do the mod? I got a Garmin UHD Echomap 75sv with the GT54 transducer, it's a bit bigger than the one on this video...tell me how it went for you. Did you buy the same hardware as in the video?
I love it and your saying “ God gave you hands and a brain” 👍🏻 So much satisfaction when you make or create your own gear or needs. Great idea on Toilet bolts 👍🏻👍🏻 Looks great and functional can’t wait to see ya out in it fishing 🎣 Have a blessed Sunday Brother ❤️🔥🙏🏻🤟🏻

Hey, quick question, sir. I was just wondering what that plastic black nut is called? Having a hard time finding one like it. I really like your creation. You did a good job, sir God bless.
Thank you so very much 🙏 I’m not sure exactly what the technical term is for it but the guy at my Home Depot kept referring to it as a lock nut and it was in the lawn sprinkler section. Hope this helps and thank you so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!👍🙏😃 God bless
It’s a half inch diameter plastic pipe nipple it’s two inches long. I think it is for sprinkler heads. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask!!😁👍👊👊
Do they need to use a (metal like a copper pipe with thread) to get it started for the plastic threaded one? or is it not that much where it doesn't matter that much? Just curious.. you know brother, I don't even have a boat lol but I absolutely love your tools of the trade and the simplistic ways of fishing my man... love to you & the fam... K. 🚬☕🐢
Hey Kyle I hope you are well my friend!!😁👊 you actually can thread it with a 1/2 inch pvc male adapter it threads pretty easily. Thanks for watching and commenting brother I truly appreciate it 😁👍👊👊🐟🎣🛶🙏🙏
Using the toilet T bolts was my favorite part of your genius for this particular video. It was all extremely well thought out and executed but, the bolt idea blew me away. I’d never have thought of that 👍🏻
@@alanbierhoff6831 Hey Alan I hope you and yours are doing well and as always thank you for your encouragement and continued support 🙏🙏 the idea came to me when I was installing a new toilet 🤣🤣 when you attach the word kayak to those they are somehow magically worth 3 or 4 times as much 🤣🤣 you know me I’m always looking for ways to save money. Hi Jay! Great video and exactly what I was looking for. I just picked up a Pelican Catch Mode 110 and I think the transducer install would be just like yours. What did you use for the nut inside the scupper hole to hold the nipple?
Hello and 🙏 Thank you so much!! I believe it is a plastic nut from a faucet that I installed but you can use pretty much any 1/2 inch nut from Lowe’s or the hardware store.i really like the mode I’ve watched several videos on it and if you haven’t already checked it out Zoffinger has some great videos on it! Thanks again for watching and for commenting and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to help you out!! Have a great weekend my friend 😃👍👊🎣🐟🛶🛶🛶

The fitting is a 1/2 inch sprinkler riser three inches long and I barely enlarged and sanded the hole and used the fitting to thread it. It threads really easily. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!🙏🙏😃👍👊🛶🎣🐟

No not any problems with it but I have now moved it because I have a new fish finder and have added a trolling motor so now it’s mounted on the trolling motor. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!👍😃🙏
I just enlarged it slightly and worked slowly and used the nipple threads . I have had no issues with it and it still screws right in every time 👍😃 thanks so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it 🙏🙏
@MindriddlerADV actually one of the little sanding drums on my dremell and you don’t have to enlarge it much at all. Just enough for the threads to grab and then just slowly work it back and forth until it starts good then tighten it up . It’s super easy to get started.
Thank you so much and thank you for watching and commenting!! It’s 1/2 inch diameter by 3 inches long. I believe it’s a sprinkler riser nipple is what it’s called.
