- This cat track goes off to the backside of the mountain and is heavily trafficked so it can be rather bumpy. Add in, at this time of the day it is quite low light. You can hear in Dad's voice how nervous he is that she was going to have a much different result.

My mom always worried and was afraid when I tried new things it made me scared and I stopped trying. You are amazing because you show your fearlessness and it rubs off on her
We had the same experience as kids and we want her to find her own threshold of fear. Might get some scrapes and bruises along the way but oh well, that’s being a kid. I’ve seen her take gnarlier falls at the playground than snowboarding
my mom was scared too so im scared of swimming skate boarding skiing... but i rebuilt my chevi motor and chain sawed and drove on sidewalks

In one video, Cashy's mom gave her the best advice about being scared. She asked Cashy, "What do we do when we're scared?" And Cashy answered, "We do it scared."

Everytime I watch her I just can't get over how good she is at her age. she's such a good listener. You'd think she was doing this so much longer. Between her skills and you guys as her teacher's she can accomplish anything!

@@RowleyAdventures Quite true. She learned to snowboard not knowing what she didn't know, and that's what's made her so good at it. There's no overwhelming fear factor there, she's just into the rush. My daughter and her husband have raised their kids the same way, and while my granddaughter's fear threshold is a little lower, my grandson isn't intimidated by anything. 10 y/o and he knows almost every musical instrument there is to play, recently got into gymnastics and is competing regionally as though he's done it since he left the womb. He's hard on himself but he's certainly not afraid of new things and doesn't hold back.
I love this little one's confidence. Her little voice is adorable. She is definitely A coach's dream. She Listen And learned

i swear to go i held my breath through this whole video....first, kudos to the parents!!! second, i thought i was pretty fearless, this girlie has fearless bottled and oozing from her. can't teach that, she was born with it. fabulous that the parents acknowledge their daughter's warrior within.

She’s absolutely incredible. I have to tell you every time I watch her I darn near have a major heart attack! As a child or young adult I could not not ice skate in a rink. I tried so hard but the joke was on me. God bless your daughter. U.S Olympics here she comes to take the Gold home to Dad.

Wonderful. I have only skied several times many years ago in the UP in Michigan. I was being discharged from the Air Force and had two weeks free. I saw kids like this skiing effortlessly. A lot of Finnish up there.
My impression of this little genius is the she was making some great decisions on the way down. Incredible. I pray that she has a long and wonderful life.

WOW! JUST WOW!!! Your little girl is awesome!!! I used to take my daughters to Steven's Pass or Snoqualmie Pass when they were 4th & 6th grades. Myself have never skiied or snowboarded. I enrolled them in classes. But you & her mom appear to be teaching her awesome!! Prayers y'all stay safe out there!!! God bless you all

This is just awesome! I taught my kids how to ski when they were little and it's a great family sport. But this takes the cake I've never seen anything like it.

I had 2 boys. There can be a struggle between worrying that one of them might get hurt and the proud parent watching them accomplish something on their own. You two are equipping her with an inner strength (the knowledge that even if things get hard, or scary she can make it through to the other side.)

I have only ski, as a young adult in my 40's, and did fair because I roller skates my whole life, however she has such a grace and ease, center of gravity, control. Amazing! Good job encouraging her, and developing her skills. She will be amazing in the Olympics! I am speaking it forth!

Well I have to say that little girl is just totally amazing at her age to be snowboarding down such a big mountain and have such good control over that board and not be afraid and the way she actually watches her speed when her father tells her to and she knows enough to slow herself down before she gets going too fast I'm just totally amazed at watching her I love watching these videos of her snowboarding personally I don't like to cold weather but I enjoy watching her very entertained keep up the good work young lady you'll be awesome when you get older good job Mom and Dad damn good job

She’s so good❤ and you guys are fantastic parents! Here in Norway we do a lot of cross-country skiing and little kids often go down the steeper slopes standing between their parents legs (each with their own set of skis, of course). It doesn’t take long before they’re whizzing around those slopes on their own. Much better than I will ever be. So cool to see.
Amazing. Love it. She makes me want to try this sport, she makes it look..not easy, but I can feel by watching how embodied the incline, speed, bumps, turns are in her for good. She' ll only get better and better. Kudos you parents for allowing her to find her own edge!
I have to tell you, your short popped up for some reason today and I've literally been watching them for hours; AMAZING family you have and helluva job you've done with her. In this run, at the end I swear you feel her calculating her stop for as much speed as possible, then stopping perfectly. How fast is she actually going?

She's the BOMB!!! My parents were very similar in their approach to letting us try anything, anytime. We learned how to calculate and control our risk management. To this day, at 73, I'm still doing some crazy stuff. None of my friends in school 'got it'.
She's been taught well & it shows. But she's got skills! The way she governs the ski when she wants to slow & keep control is all her... sick 😎
