This is a modded Cities Skylines let's play series, with the focus on detail orientated mods (but no PO), we'll be building a completely playable and functional city with efficient mass transit networks, including all DLC and content creator packs. 2023 ready! Solitude Fun Fact of the Day: Today, on their way back to the Solitude Airport, the Thornbury family made one last stop at the Tacky Tropical bar and got pretty wasted. Atfer they left the bar they soon got into a physical confrontation with a Solitude cassowary and fled into the jungle. It was there where they stumbled over two old grave stones and by accident rediscovered the long forgotten first graveyard of Solitude and the honrary graves of explorer Steve Cook and the first governor Captain Jack Squircle.
Mayor FewCandy later this day honoured the Thornbury family by presenting the key to the city to them at the airport. Mr Thornbury, who was still very wasted, puked into the airports VIP lounge and then was quickly shoved into his plane to leave the island.

I've told you before that I always wanted to create a Honolulu inspired city, but was I never able to make it look right.
Solitude was exactly how I envisioned it should be! My favorite city of yours, for sure!
I will miss new episodes. But I guess it's time to binge watch from the beginning! 🎉

While it's sad that my favorite series of this channel have come to an end, still I'm hoping when in CS2, that you will build a country similar to solitude, kind of like a bit far away neighboring country of solitude.
sad to see solitude go, but then again, you can always get back to it when time is right. some of these builds are the best you ever done, and easily up there with the best builds on the youtube. would be great to see you flesh it all out just the way you have it in your mind ❤
maybe if you continue playing it off camera, you can make us some nice tour videos every now and then :)

There were some great builds in this city. I forgot over time how insanely detailed some of them were and I don't think I've ever seen a CS1 build with distinct differences between the rich and the poor. Shame it's over but I don't blame you considering the effort that amount of work takes.

Airports in CS always look like just-updated ones in MSFS after a world update, with way too many planes and helicopters taking in the sights.
The passengers getting off the plane and running for the street makes sense actually. Those stands normally go against a terminal concourse, but those are just a type of network. The AI is probably just “go to the closest network (which *should* be a concourse) and navigate from there. I this case the closest network was the road, which led directly outside.
This suggests some ideas. Backing airplane stands against a pathway that does *not* connect to the outside, but does connect to a terminal. Ithink in that case they might take the path back to the terminal, and it would work like an older/smaller airport without jet bridges. This is also probably why the cargo airport worked. There was a cargo capable network connection between the plane and the outside world.
As always: an amazing detailed build. ❤ And as far as I know, a 747 requires at least 2800m (350 units) to start or land.

The airport looked great - just the right size and living near one: houses right next to it is probably more common than you may think. Overall I think I cannot decide between the Fewvela (is that the right spelling?) and Sullytude water park as my favourite builds. Those two came out so amazingly well it's impossible to like one more than the other 🤩. Great farewell, I will really miss Solitude's lush green looks. ♥

I take it the time has finally come to switch to CS2 only, now that it is actually possible to detail in that game. Actually some things detailing related are already better than CS1. Vector surfaces are better than painted ones, in that you get more control, and now they are vanilla! And that decal system mod is just amazing-way better than billboard sprites.
If you ever get to the point where you’re ready to do a heavily modded, heavily-custom-assetted build with an Elder Scrolls name, my suggestion would be a midwestern american rust belt city, based on Cleveland Ohio. Sooooooo much industrial detailing! And for a name, “Anvil” is an obvious choice, being my favorite Oblivion city and also a piece of metalworking equipment.

There isn't just one area I like FewC. I love all of it... Every little detail you put into it. The only thing I think you missed was placing a mist generator at the bottom of the water fall.
