boulders ive seen: normal, baby (breaks off into 2 small boulders in opposite directions when an otherwise normal one breaks), bouncy (pink gel coated boulder that cannout be stopped; only run from. i got lucky the ones ive seen i have been able to activate from a safe spot, though even then, they scare me with the momentum they conserve), graves (though not ones that hurt me, while a grave tries to settle it does boulder level damage to any enemy it hits. If it starts to fall, it WILL bounce until momentum drops), and life crystals (that act like normal boulders but drop a life crystal when destroyed).
Have not gotten into any other biomes to see if there are new boulders or if the existing ones have changed (like rolling cactus, for example).
Cant wait to combine all these different hard difficulties just to suffer

this seed makes me want to imagine some kind of boss that chases you to the surface and the fight moves further and further upward. Something like wall of flesh but it's a floor and hallow themed. Maybe it'd inflict the shimmer debuff to try and make you fall through blocks towards it

@@Nsquare_01 i feel like it would be cool if the boss only does contact damage and attempts to inflict the phasing debuff. Maybe most of the damage it does to you aside from touching you and pulling you up from below itself would come from minions spawning all over the world wherever you are while the boss is alive, with harder enemies as you go further up
6:45 I'm sure I'm not the first to point this out, but the description on Artisan Loaf is almost certainly a reference to ActRaiser, in which a villager asks you to give her son Teddy a loaf of bread to get him to return home.

@@_byce rod of harmony would be super broken for the post moonlord bosses though. Changing it is necessary. Maybe they could make it so that it gives chaos state in bossfights + the buffed events or just make upgrading the rod requre shadowspec bars
@@_byce dude every single calamity post post moon lord would be incredibly easy with the rod of harmony. I'd bet that I, as a player who's only played through calamity once and isn't actually that great at the game, could easily beat DOG and Yharon with that thing just because dodging would become effortless.
@@tuxtitan780 RoH nerf would be understandable, nerfing the whole liquid because "boohoo 4 extra defense" wouldn't be
knowing cal though RoH will get a nerf that has some specific requirements to be used like taking damage from ball fart or some shit
I dont believe they could have made mechdusa any more cursed
maybe spawning the pet versions of themselves (pet mech bosses) that attack you like summons

For those wondering the ash grass and trees are on the sides on normal worlds.
featherfall potion is actually great when fighting wall of flesh. it has a hard time locking on you when your floating for some reason
Just my guess I haven't went and tested but I imagine the lasers either shoot at you or where you will be, but since your moving slowly u either avoid it or they shoot where u would be normally without falling slowly
I like how tombstones bounce and do damage to enemies, at least in the get fixed boi seed, at least I think so, but I could be wrong and missed something.
I believe the tomb becoming boulders actually comes from the no traps seed, bc it makes other stuff into traps so it makes sense

An official game mode where the surface is essentially uninhabitable and you’re forced to live subterranean (especially with all the mixed up options from the seed) is a fantastic way to both challenge and intrigue new players, even the ones with the most well-trained muscle memory
The "slimes" (stars) spawning from the pot and completely destroying you while hopping around sent me to the moon

For anyone wondering about the Wall of Flesh fight, you CAN’T use the star cannons against it. The hungry’s and the wall itself will deflect the stars back to you.
Learned this the hard way.

I have to say, after watching both Sipho and Waffletime doing this before Chippy, that Chippy seems to be the most chill about all of this. By this point, the others were eating their keyboards, but Chippy's just laughing and having a grand time.
A good change in pace. I like it! :)
To be fair Waffletime was playing Mediumcore like a mad man. 99% of his agony was based in having to regain his items.
I'm loving this new difficulty so far. Its done a great job of giving you trust issues with everything. Even the pots. I recently found out that the gills potion will now cause you drowning damage if you're not in water and Golden Slimes are great money makers early in the game if you're lucky enough to have one spawn.
The gills potion has always worked like that.

@@kids9699 Looking at the wiki, it looks like that the gills potions stopped suffocating you out of water in version 1.2. Never knew it was patched.
So in other words, the seed reverts the gills potion back to the way it used to work.
People who do those insane difficulties with Calamity will love this as a vanilla experience. Can't wait for Veteran Terraria Players to play this seed.

For anyone else attempting this, I found that farming the Gladiator Armour was invaluable for the knockback resistance pre-skeletron. It's like a free set of armour plus a cobalt shield without having to enter the dungeon. Helped me get a cheeky six scales from the Eater of Worlds which then unlocked hellstone for me :D
This new Terraria update is absolutely bonkers and that's why it's great!

My favourite part of this seed is playing it on multiplayer, cause if you haven't noticed, your tombstone can turn into a Boulder, so if you die you can instantly kill your entire group if you're all together. Its wonderful

I just beat EoC yesterday, and I really wanted to make more progress but I don't have a lot of time. I really love these secret seeds that relogic have made because they're challenging in way that's very different from hard Terraria mods.
I'm maybe 5 hours into my playthrough in master mode and honestly it's quite hard. I have silver armour, full health and an ice blade as my weapon but I still haven't reached the top of the map. Everything just does so much damage, and every time I try and progress to the surface I die and get sent all the way to the bottom again. Might have to employ bed strats

It legit took me about 5 hours to find stone lol. My tip: npc happiness does not exist, they will always sell you pylons of where they are living. I've been using pylons as a checkpoint system allowing me to get back to higher up areas faster. You still need beds, some of the stuff in the corruption/crimson is too far for acceptable housing but it helps immensely.
As always, a great video! Just wanted to let you know that the Calamity Infernum Mode addon has now reached boss completion. I'm unsure as to whether or not you know what Infernum is, but it's essentially Calamity Eternity mode (it reworks the AIs of every Calamity and vanilla boss). If you're up for it, though I'm sure you have plans, there's no time better than now to try a Calamity playthrough with some of its addons, the largest of which being Calamity's Vanities, Unofficial Calamity Mod Music, Infernum Mode, and the texture pack.
This is insane, love the dedication! Cant wait to see more of this seed, I might even try it myself.

The EOW spawning eater of souls is actually new for the worthy addition.
With that in mind, I’ll be honest, master mode WOF in FTW after the changes they made in 1.4.4 was by far the hardest thing I’ve done in terraria, so good luck…

I've not been able to beat any boss other than the eyeball, so seeing a bit of strategies for seletron is very appreciated
Terraria has some of the best easter eggs ever, at this point that's not even an Easter Egg, that's a whole new gamemode, common massive RE-LOGIC W, also common Chippy W for making an entire playthrough on this seed, keep up the great work bro

I'm kinda upset he didn't use the Volcano sword on the Eater of Worlds or the Brain, despite crafting it. The new and improved melee weapons are insane.
there are literally seven layers in this seed, this seed is canonically you descending through all the layers of hell. the final layer, the surface is as terrible as you could imagine.

I noticed how you set up several arenas, I like to use a ton of spike balls in my arena to get some passive damage on each boss

When Chippy beat Skeletron, it reminded me of beating a boss you get stuck on in a FromSoftware game. (Souls/Elden Ring/Bloodborne). All the achievement! Great job Chippy!
once you're done with all the new update content, you should really try out calamity infernum, it recently finished supreme calamitas and is definitely worth trying

Hey Chippy, I found an interesting progression skip.
Killing a jungle mimic, which spawn pre-plantera on the getfixedboi seed due to being celebrationmk10, will drop a terra toilet.
Throw that terra toilet into shimmer to get a toilet and broken hero sword.
Now you have a broken hero's sword pre-plantera.
You can now craft the Terra blade.
Nope, u need the true excalibur first but to craft it u need hallowed bars, I dont think u can get hallowed except after mechdusa (I dont think u can fight the mech bosses seperately in the seed) which is slightly before plantera

@@tspancakes8574 Masochist is the superbuffed version of eternity, and is activated by using mutant's gift in master mode after beating eternity mutant once
"Legendary bread that once reminded teddy of home"...wow...wasn't expecting an Actraiser reference, guess we shouldn't be too surprised though as they definitely have great taste when it comes to other games.

Something else that would be cool... a flagbearer outfit, so you can permanently carry limited banners to give you buffs against specific enemies :)

Why do I feel like he got so few enemies? In my current run I cant even go anywhere without having to fight 50+ mobs.
Probably just time. He scoots through areas kinda fast, so mobs are pretty much always spawning behind him. If you take too long, they start spawning in front which can slow you down long enough for the spawns to pile up.
@@bigquazz3955 This plus also since he's underground the whole time, a lot of enemies are stuck inside/behind caves that can't possibly reach him (unless they teleport like chaos elementals or phase through blocks like pigrons)
Someone has to do this seed on a master mode world with a hardcore character, aka masochism.
I would do it myself but I'm not even close to the required skill to do this.

Currently playing on a large world with like 6 friends on the getfixedboi seed, master mode. We just beat skeletron, and we’re gearing up for the wall of flesh.
On the terraria wiki it says "the unholy trident has a 1/30 (3.33%) chance to be dropped by Red Devils in The Underworld after defeating any Mechanical Boss." I really want to know if this is a seed specific thing because the wiki doesn't say anything yet.
Going from waffletimes playthrough to this one is certainly an experience.
I've started this seed on master difficulty on a large world. Lemme just say, it's a lot easier to create a hellivator when you're mining down.
