    Can it find water leak?
I have plumbing problem in bathroom, drain pipe is under concrete and tile floor and water pipe is inside brick wall....
Also advice if it can detect animal inside car or van that is invisible to human.
I wish to use it to stop illegal transportation of animals in trucks.

@@anthemgarmentmanufacturing660 Anything with a temperature difference it will detect. So if the water line had cold or hot water in it I would think it would see that.
As far as the animals, if they are in a car or truck behind a metal door or body panel all you are going to see is the temperature of the door or panel unless the animal was up against it.

Is there way to zoom out. Somehow the image seems too zoomed in. Their website says it’s a 9mm focal length. Thanks

You will want the TC001 if this one is to zoomed in.

@@737mechanic Or you could adjust the lens to the typical 5m focus distance of the tc001. When adjusted closer it will be much more fussy about distance, which is I guess why 737mechanic avoids pulling it back and forth as he'd need to keep refocussing - just like a manual camera in macro mode.

@@theelmonkwhat? It’s obviously fixed focal length, you can just focus it manually (instead of the fixed focus of the tc001)

Why is it calibrating so often? It calibrates quickly but that's still a bit annoying.

I noticed that also. The model I have was a pre-production model so I am not sure if the current production models still do that.

camera freezes too often, matrix recalibration but why that often? its nearest competetor infiray T2S+ doesnt have this problem.

This was a test unit so not sure if it is the camera or the phone that is causing that and if the current production models have that problem.
It may also have to do with the specs are slightly better for the Topdon and maybe it is having issues keeping up, for instance the specs for the Topdon is -20-550c where the infray is -20-450c and the NETD for the Topdon is

@@737mechanic maybe the smartphone CPU problem: not enough calculating power to cope with the stream, could you be so kind to record another video testing with Windows software? I'm in the market to get this model for its nice specs but if even in Windows it has this freeze problem, I'd go for T2S+ alas ((( Plus in real life who needs 550Celcius? 450 more then enough for any purpose but again, if freeze problem stipulated by smartphone Id go for this one cos brilliant quality.

@@satcomhdtv I will do that, as far as 450 vs 550, in most cases you are right but there are times on a car for instance that the cats get even hotter than that so hopefully they keep making progress and keep the temps going higher.

It's calibrating the sensor by placing a shutter in front of it. Most cameras do this, it's usually accompanied by a faint click. I don't know why it's more obvious than the T2S+ but I believe you can turn it off, in which case the picture will slowly get obscured by noise.
