This thing has been absolutely incredible for me. Been using it for electronics repair but has a wide variety of uses outside of that for me as a handy man. by far one of the best purchases i've ever made on a tool imo.
Good timing for me, because I've been looking at the Topdon lately. I need to track down a water leak above a basement door that's coming through the wall on the back deck somewhere. I'd like to localize it, so I don't have to tear off all the siding on the back wall to find it. I have a Topdon jump starter, and I like their quality.
Crazy good quality out of this one and for the sale price it's going to be tough to beat. Good luck with the leak, those are the worst. Thanks for watching!
My 6 year old was pretty fascinated by this one. Sometimes I agree to review these things just so he can learn something new. This had a clearer picture than both the Flir and another coworkers Snap On. Tough to beat for the price. Thanks for watching Jeff!
Curious what made you ask but no, never in the military. Shattered knee caps when I was 20 put an end to that idea. You did give me a good idea though. My Weber flat top that boasts super even cooking across the top has hot and cold spots all over it and would be nice to map it out in my head for better cooking. Used that thing for all 3 meals last Saturday, 🐷
@@themeat5053 Oh! Inherited from my Mom. Sadly haven’t been there in years. Cool house in the southern town of Calitri. Hoping to get back there maybe in 2026.
the topdom is just $285 right now, god i wished there was some way i could afford it because i desperately need a thermal camera but there's no way. i just lost 2 of the 8 rescues i care for because i ran out of money to pay to save them, i'm in the process of getting everything i own ready to sell so i don't have to let another animal die because i ran out of money, however if you run across a $50 thermal camera let me know.....lol

How close do you have to be to see hot spots, the max effective range?

This would actually be really handy around the house. I know my son would get a kick out of it.

Finally found a use for an "orange cat"!!!!
Yep, he's finally pulling his weight around here! Thanks for watching Greg!
Stationed in Vicenza, or were you an Air Force guy? Love those thermal cameras to let me know how hot the pizza oven is.

@@ProjectsForAllReviews You mentioned your house in Italy. That's all.

@@ProjectsForAllReviews Now, I knew there was a reason I like you. Sorry to hear about your Mom. Thanks for all your work.
In my case, I would use it, but I will wait for it to go under $200. If I wanted as a pro, definetly good price, but for occasional use like me?
