There's a Vulcan 220 coupon valid until December of 2020 for 869.00. It's not my business what you paid but the regular price is 999.00. They will refund the difference if you paid that. There is also another coupon for Vulcan accessories that's 20% off that never expires. I use the never expire accessory one to get the 10lb electrodes for a little over 20.00. If you are not using the stick it still helps on contact tips for the mig gun. I bought mine in early August and really like it.
For those that can’t find it. The Vulcan 220 code is 16295108 The Vulcan accessory 20% code is 20111338 that’s for helmets, gloves, wire, electrodes, foot pedals, tips and torches.
Hey how’s the omnipro holding up?are you still using it as your main welder? it’s been 3 years since the video came out wondering how it’s doing. I have the same welder got it 5-6 years ago it has been an excellent welder for my small shop.
I have been welding for over 35 years and just got rid of a miller full production tig welder and mig the same to monster welders and went with what you did because its a hobby and not doing it for a living no more. I bought a spool gun and tig gun to but not sure with the touch tig as far as a scratch start could be just me but i bought a foot pedal today, i love the size of this unit and what it can do. I all so bought the biggest cart from harbor freight and i can tell you it is very nice and can carry everything for welding all. I had a cracked truck rim and used the aluminum spool gun wow just great because could not find that size rim. So all i can say is extremely happy with vulcan welder and it has that new car smell hahaha, ps i don't like the way my mig cone comes off but will modifie if have to, have not had time to investigate that yet.
ESP plans provide 1 and 2 years of product protection on eligible products after the manufacturer's warranty ends. ESP plans can be purchased at your local Harbor Freight Tools store within 30 days of the eligible product's purchase date
Just like lots of other people, I read countless reviews and decided to dive in on a 220 that was 50% off at a HFT parking lot sale. Picked up that welder for $350 and still welding strong.
My titanium ultimate 200. Worked great for 2 years of moderate light use. Turned on last night and it puffed a ton of white smoke out the front. 2 weeks before my 100$ 2 year warranty expires.
It's doing great! I actually just used it to weld in two new floorpans and frame rails in my 260Z. The trigger got finnicky on me once after not being used for a few months, but that went away 🙌
@@WrenchChill good to hear I just bough one yesterday, had a coupon for 100.00 off warranty is now 189.00 for 2 years. Didnt like that but I got it just in case Thanx for the vid and the info
Got this one a few weeks ago myself. Been wanting to get into welding since...forever...due to a lot of projects around the farm that would be much cheaper to fix than replace. Still working on getting a decent bead, but I'm sure that's more due to lack of practice since my buddy (who has years of experience) was able to lay dimes immediately. Back to the shop I go!
I bought one today but it handle was broken right out of the box took it back they didn't have another one so I don't know I might do something else I like your work
@Wrench & Chill Might actually be able to hook up 220 rather easily...depending on what's there. It's really not hard. If you wanted some info/consultation lemme know. I can be reached by email on my Channel About page.
@@WrenchChill it will take some time to figure out the settings, but I did a few welds and it was significantly easier, faster and better looking welds. I had virtually no issues with the stick sticking to the metal. I am no overly impressed with the preset menu, it is kinda confusing and not intuitive. For 1/8" rod, only presets are for 10gauge, 3/16", 1/4" and 5/16" metal thickness. I wish that it had come with a cover for the spool gun outlet and for the gas line input, to keep dust and stuff out for those of us who are not using those features.
Good to know, thank you! Were you using it on 120v or 240v? In the mig process, I also found that the auto-set feature wouldn't let me override their "max" or "min" material thickness. Kind of a bummer, but I was able to manually adjust the amps as needed to get around the preset ⚡
@@WrenchChill nope I'm currently tearing it down as we speak ....I'll try to upload some videos..... warning...never use a extension cord with that thing...(hopefully I can ship it back to the states or get parts or some crap .... so bummed out now )
Oh no!! I've heard rumors about problems arising from using extension cords with welders, so thank you for sharing. 3 years was a good run though! Hope you get it all fixed up for more years 🙏
@@WrenchChill yep , no problem ....I have a video up with mine took apart ..... hopefully I find the part stocked somewhere ......thinking of grabbing a cheap titanium welder till then
Correct...we will use mostly DC TIG in our shop, so this was a good fit for us. When we get into more aluminum, we plan to upgrade to a dedicated TIG machine.
Why would we care if you burn your arms and other bits when you’re not wearing the proper welding attire? Kinda like when women insist on wearing low cut tops to the shooting range and scream and bounce around when hot brass takes a bad hop off the shooting stall and falls in between their “ta-ta’s”, LOL

are those horse shoes aluminum and if so
are you using the spool gun with the omnipro to weld them
The horseshoes are steel actually! I have not had the chance to try the spool gun on this machine yet.
@@WrenchChill thanx for the info
have you guys done a tig set up yet .. Im buying my kits this weekend for this machine .. been mig'ing for years, now to learn tig ..
We haven't. I actually ended up finding a used Miller Dynasty to be my designated TIG machine. The Vulcan is still doing wonderfully for MIG though!
not bad welder looks like good welder
It's been great! 🙂
As a former welder, the Vulcan line is all I would even consider. I think u made the better choice.

Nothing like the feeling of unboxing a brand new welder!

How often do you maintain your box
The proper maintenance schedule for the Vulcan can be found in the owners manual. There is a free pdf version available online 👍

I'm still loving it! 🙂
Looked at this today. Knobs felt like total cheap garbage.
The knobs on my welder have held up great, but more importantly, the welds have been awesome!
Did you run those welds on 120 or 240?
Everything is welded on 120V 🙂 This shop isn't wired for 240V, unfortunately.
That's good to know! Same here thanks.
@@WrenchChill you can make a 220v or 240v by splicing 2-110v or 2- 120v into a single plug for your welder.
