    I know this comment doesn’t have anything to do with your curls (which are gorgeous!) but I honestly just want to thank you for always being honest with us. I’ve just watched some videos of beauty influencers who are NOT honest (and I’m sure you know what I mean, being a beauty influencer yourself) so just wanted to thank you, Milana. You’re literally the only one I trust to buy/try new products and I’ve purchased many!! And have never been let down. Granted, I know all products aren’t for all people but you don’t lie to us. So thank you!! 🥰

    I tried my new dyson for the first time 3 days ago, and I still have super bouncy defined, gorgeous CURLS!!! I am super impressed.
    I have very long, very thick, curly hair. All I used was mousse and elvive no haircut cream!

    Know I want to get that 0.8 inch barrel. I have fine hair like you and I think this would help me. I can't get curls to last at all with my dyson but otherwise I love it. I can't wait to get the new barrel!

    I loved all the ways your hair behaved. First curly - appropriate for office,
    Second curl - appropriate for a dinner date
    Third curl - a beachy wave, just for the after dinner walks near the beach 😊

      Me too!!!! I have natural curly hair, but when I let it go natural, it’s a blonde frizz. I’ve tried many ways to get the “ beach” wave curl. If I go too small a barrel, I end up Little Orphan Annie tight curl that never falls out. If I go a little larger barrel, it doesn’t last to walk out the door. 🤷‍♀️

    The key / secret is to be sure you're hair is dry before taken the barrel out of you're hair and then do the cool shot 👌🏻 when it is stil just a little, little bit damp the curl will not stay !

  • @Arendbelle
    @Arendbelle Рік тому +2

    Thank you for the tip about holding for 1 min. I have a shark but I think they are very similar. The instruction manual says to hold for 10 seconds, and then 10 second cool shot. I didn't realize holding longer could give better results, and so I will try that, though I don't want to burn my hair! Maybe a less hot setting..

    • @Aphrodite01
      @Aphrodite01 Рік тому

      You want to curl it until it’s no longer damp then use the cool air until the curl is cool to touch, which helps the curl set. It will take longer than 15 sec but makes the style last for days so it’s worth the time to do it correctly.

    I bought the smaller barrel, but I have many many many hair (also very long), that It took me 1h and 30 minutes to finish my hair. I might try as you do: to wrap myself the hair tò the barrel rather than to let the airwrap do the job alone (maybe I can wrap more hair this way?)

    I've tried everything with my Dyson airwrap. I have long, healthy, straight hair. My curls fall out in literally 15 minutes! I use the highest setting and then cool shot. But curls last all day with my T3 curling wand. Sigh.

      I’m currently trying to figure out how to get my curls to stay longer too.
      Do you have the 0.8” inch barrel? Mine came with the 1.2” and 1.6”. I have long straight fine hair.

    • @rosanneschwab4996
      @rosanneschwab4996 Рік тому

      I bought narrower barrels and longer wands. Curls still don't hold.

    • @katie4996
      @katie4996 Рік тому

      @@rosanneschwab4996 I did get the 20mm (0.8”) barrel and I finally nailed the technique for getting them to last! At least it works for my fine, straight hair.
      I apply a light leave-in conditioner at my ends and apply tresemme extra hold mousse all over my hair. I rough dry my roots with the dryer attachment, then use the soft brush attachment to dry my hair so it’s not soaking wet, it should still be damp.
      I section my hair into 4 sections. Take small sections and curl holding the barrel upside down like in the video. High heat, high airflow. Hold for 10 seconds (or until dry) and cool shot for 10 seconds. Instead of letting the curl drop immediately, I catch it and hold it in my hand for a few seconds. Once I finish a second I spray it with medium hold brushable hairspray (bumble and bumble spray de mode).
      Once done, I leave the curls alone for 10-15 mins then brush them out. I’ve gotten my curls to last for days!

    Did you use the low or high heat setting? Do you find the lower temperature of 302 still helps reduce damage when left on for a minute compared to a hotter heat tool for 10 secs? I would normally use an automatic curler between 320-350 for 10secs, curls last all day. I like the idea of a lower temperature to reduce damage. I have similar hair to yours, it is prone to breakage because I lighten it, it scares me holding heat on each section for 1 min?

    I bought the Coanda kit when it first came out, more for the fact that it looked so easy to do and gives a great look. Again duped by what I feel is false advertising. If it is as easy as they showed in adverts and videos then, why would we need to try so many different techniques. Doesn’t last half an hour with me never mind 3 days. Really wish I never wasted my money. Very disappointing.

    As a scientific mind, you transferred the mousse at every step of this process. Not cleaning your hands or instruments used between the two sides. Besides wrapping the mousse and non-mousse side together overnight. Body heat does cause products to melt and transfer.
    If you are going to do something like this as a head to head...and accurately, please do the necessary steps to make it completely autonomous from each other cause this experiment is riddled with holes making your conclusion inaccurate.
