I know this comment doesn’t have anything to do with your curls (which are gorgeous!) but I honestly just want to thank you for always being honest with us. I’ve just watched some videos of beauty influencers who are NOT honest (and I’m sure you know what I mean, being a beauty influencer yourself) so just wanted to thank you, Milana. You’re literally the only one I trust to buy/try new products and I’ve purchased many!! And have never been let down. Granted, I know all products aren’t for all people but you don’t lie to us. So thank you!! 🥰
I tried my new dyson for the first time 3 days ago, and I still have super bouncy defined, gorgeous CURLS!!! I am super impressed. I have very long, very thick, curly hair. All I used was mousse and elvive no haircut cream!
Know I want to get that 0.8 inch barrel. I have fine hair like you and I think this would help me. I can't get curls to last at all with my dyson but otherwise I love it. I can't wait to get the new barrel!
I loved all the ways your hair behaved. First curly - appropriate for office, Second curl - appropriate for a dinner date Third curl - a beachy wave, just for the after dinner walks near the beach 😊
I think I need to try the smaller barrels!! That might be the key. And only spray that really holds my curls is the invisible oil primer by bumble and bumble. I loved this and try my smaller barrel 😍😍
This thing is a damn science 😂 I feel like I have a masters degree in how to get curls to last!!! So many ideas just gotta find which one works specifically for your hair type!! 😊I’ve tried curling creams mousse salt spray .. texture spray.. hair spray gel you name it !! 😂
Me too!!!! I have natural curly hair, but when I let it go natural, it’s a blonde frizz. I’ve tried many ways to get the “ beach” wave curl. If I go too small a barrel, I end up Little Orphan Annie tight curl that never falls out. If I go a little larger barrel, it doesn’t last to walk out the door. 🤷♀️
The key / secret is to be sure you're hair is dry before taken the barrel out of you're hair and then do the cool shot 👌🏻 when it is stil just a little, little bit damp the curl will not stay !
Thank you for the tip about holding for 1 min. I have a shark but I think they are very similar. The instruction manual says to hold for 10 seconds, and then 10 second cool shot. I didn't realize holding longer could give better results, and so I will try that, though I don't want to burn my hair! Maybe a less hot setting..
You want to curl it until it’s no longer damp then use the cool air until the curl is cool to touch, which helps the curl set. It will take longer than 15 sec but makes the style last for days so it’s worth the time to do it correctly.
I bought the smaller barrel, but I have many many many hair (also very long), that It took me 1h and 30 minutes to finish my hair. I might try as you do: to wrap myself the hair tò the barrel rather than to let the airwrap do the job alone (maybe I can wrap more hair this way?)
I've tried everything with my Dyson airwrap. I have long, healthy, straight hair. My curls fall out in literally 15 minutes! I use the highest setting and then cool shot. But curls last all day with my T3 curling wand. Sigh.
I’m currently trying to figure out how to get my curls to stay longer too. Do you have the 0.8” inch barrel? Mine came with the 1.2” and 1.6”. I have long straight fine hair.
@@rosanneschwab4996 I did get the 20mm (0.8”) barrel and I finally nailed the technique for getting them to last! At least it works for my fine, straight hair. I apply a light leave-in conditioner at my ends and apply tresemme extra hold mousse all over my hair. I rough dry my roots with the dryer attachment, then use the soft brush attachment to dry my hair so it’s not soaking wet, it should still be damp. I section my hair into 4 sections. Take small sections and curl holding the barrel upside down like in the video. High heat, high airflow. Hold for 10 seconds (or until dry) and cool shot for 10 seconds. Instead of letting the curl drop immediately, I catch it and hold it in my hand for a few seconds. Once I finish a second I spray it with medium hold brushable hairspray (bumble and bumble spray de mode). Once done, I leave the curls alone for 10-15 mins then brush them out. I’ve gotten my curls to last for days!
Maybe I missed it, but do you use the lowest heat setting? Thank you for the video, I think I might get the 0.8'' barrel as well, I need a longer barrel for sure.
Did you use the low or high heat setting? Do you find the lower temperature of 302 still helps reduce damage when left on for a minute compared to a hotter heat tool for 10 secs? I would normally use an automatic curler between 320-350 for 10secs, curls last all day. I like the idea of a lower temperature to reduce damage. I have similar hair to yours, it is prone to breakage because I lighten it, it scares me holding heat on each section for 1 min?
Honestly I don't even get these results even with mousse, and I make sure to use hair products that can help with hold D: I think I've just found that the Dyson Airwrap just doesn't work for me (the Super Sonic is brilliant though!)
I bought the Coanda kit when it first came out, more for the fact that it looked so easy to do and gives a great look. Again duped by what I feel is false advertising. If it is as easy as they showed in adverts and videos then, why would we need to try so many different techniques. Doesn’t last half an hour with me never mind 3 days. Really wish I never wasted my money. Very disappointing.
As a scientific mind, you transferred the mousse at every step of this process. Not cleaning your hands or instruments used between the two sides. Besides wrapping the mousse and non-mousse side together overnight. Body heat does cause products to melt and transfer. If you are going to do something like this as a head to head...and accurately, please do the necessary steps to make it completely autonomous from each other cause this experiment is riddled with holes making your conclusion inaccurate.

What kind of mousse did you use? My have very thick wavy and frizzy hair and my curls already hang out a bit when I do the other side of my hair

I wish I had Dyson airwrap 😭 I hope one day I’ll buy it… Thank you for video)
Greetings from Ukraine 🇺🇦
Whoa! I just opened this app before I started with my air wrap!! Thank you !!
Both sides are beautiful but the No Mousse side looks frizzier.

Excellent vid! Making me want to get this upgraded.8 barrel too, thank you! 🎉
Your hair holds curl a lot better than mine. I HAVE to use a mousse if I want the curl to hold. I WISH I didn’t have to, but…
Please test this with the Shark Flexystyler! I can't decide which one to take🤔🤷🏼♀️
I have both. I personally enjoy the sharkflex more. I only reach for my airwrap when in a hurry since I dont have to switch barrels. 😊

Got the mousse just need the Dyson 😮😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 best comment !!!!!
XD
I will try this. I have the skinny barrel and do 15s heat and 25 cool. I'll go much longer on heat.
If only I could get those smaller and longer barrels. 😭😭 Waited for several months now. 😩
I use a little mouse even when I straighten my hair because it will help with frizzy hair..I live in Florida and there’s a lot of that here ❤
Did you try Oribe Tres Set ? Like you do with your mousse. I find is the best product for Dyson Airwrap 😁 Pricy but worth
I love you so much you are the best u even spend the rest of the day to really proof what is actually best ❤❤❤

I bought narrower barrels and longer wands. Curls still don't hold.

This is me too! I think it has to do with our kind of hair and the bonds or proteins in it compared to the girls who don't have straight hair :(
Can get the same results with curling wand but I’m curious what’s the difference or advantages of using the dyson versus the curling wand 🤓
Your hair health.
On video thé mousse side the next day has less frizz and more shine. It also has more volume. The no mousse side looks flatter.
Looks amazing on both sides 😊❤❤
Nice! ordered myself 0.8” barrel just now
I use air dry cream to help extend and it’s perfect!
Which air dry cream??
Love both sides!
A whole minute with the heat? That doesn’t fry your hair?
I guess I will try the 0.8 inches barrel, because the other ones doesn’t last on my hair…
You are STUNNING!
Maybe I missed it, but do you use the lowest heat setting? Thank you for the video, I think I might get the 0.8'' barrel as well, I need a longer barrel for sure.
The mousse side has a bit more definition but is not too much definition honestly
I am soo worried that my hair would break if i hold it too long 😅
What kind of spray u used
My flexstyle arrives next week, but I guess I need this. Smaller barrels please, Shark.
Mousse side looks better
What attachment is this xx

Why do you hold it upside down? Just curious...
To curl the hair out of her face on both sides.
She's doing beach waves. They come out like looser and not like ringlets.
@@wiemerkwurdig6421 but you can switch the barrel direction on the top
@@christyb9994 but why wouldn’t you hold it straight up and down? I want beachy waves so just checking
@@SkinObsessedMary she already told you the reason. Curls normal way, waves upside down. Nothing confusing.
Is dyson any good for medium thick stubborn straight hair?
I have long thick asian hair and the new airwrap with the stronger air flow and the long barrels work great! didn't work with the old airwrap.
@@starfish8D Thank you for the review! I will look into this newest model
No mouse side looks better!
My curls last…half an hour 😢
FYI, you forgot to change the mousse/no mousse labels when you spun around at 2:35
Try it with the shark
What mousse did you use?
She used SheaMoisture Curl Mousse for Frizz Control Coconut and Hibiscus with Shea Butter

Use the skinny barrel. Curl until damp hair is dry then cool shot until it’s cool to touch. Don’t brush it out.
@@Aphrodite01 I've done this, but unfortunately it just doesn't work on my hair :(
@@DaddyDorya which shampoo, conditioner, leave in, and styling products are you using?
It's a great machine if you have a spare £500
