I have had my Air Wrap for about 8 months now and your advise is SPOT ON! The only thing I would suggest is spraying the curls with hair spray before running fingers through- I spray when I finish the right side so it holds while I do the left. My curls last for 3/4 days, and I have long, thick hair. I agree that mousse is the way to go as well.
@@canelleguns I don’t do anything special; just a good amount of hair spray when I first do them. Are they as curly as when I first did it -no; but it still looks good. I do have a lot of thicker hair though…don’t know if that makes a difference.
So I did ALL of this. Right down to the exact same products. And my hair was literally 90% dry. It was just slightly cool to the touch. I did not run my fingers through my hair at all and clipped it up. Woke up with crunchy frizzy hair and I sleep on a pure silk pillowcase. I am glad this is working out for some people but for me the search continues for lasting curls with the airwrap
I just bought the Dyson Air Wrap. I love it. I have straight fine hair. And the way I get my curls to last all day, is after each curl I spray a little hair spray in each curl. I wait and then run my finger through it. That’s works for me.
This year I switched to using olaplex and the air wrap and my hair has never looked better. I will say I don’t think you need to spend this much and I think that bee T3 styler might be better for my needs but, I am happy with how my hair looks now. 2 years ago I had stress related severe hair loss so I’m trying super hard to take care of my hair.
Omg I literally just commented a couple days ago saying I wish my curls lasted like yours. I’m so excited because my curls with the dyson fall within 20 min.
Great video! Thank you. I'm not sure I could sleep with a clip on my head. Does anyone have any other suggestions. I normally have a plait or two plaits.
I have the Prussian blue with the pink long barrels. lol I wish they had just made the blue long barrels. Not enough people use hair mousse like they used to, but it makes such a difference! I remember some model saying it was the secret to her hair.
@@lavoixdevelours I honestly don’t understand why they do that. At least make the long barrels available in that color to buy extra 🤷🏼♀️ Otherwise, it’s all mismatched 🥲

The amika mousse works great with the air wrap! The only thing I’m having an issue is with the texture. My hair is soooo sticky from the mouse I can barely run my fingers through it. Am I using too much?
I just got mine. Separated my hair. When i tried to do one section it kept trying to bring flyaways from other section. Was a bit frustrating .also mine on coolshot air is still warm

I have fine hair with natural waves/loose curls, and although I’m still trying to learn how to make an Air Wrap set last longer than a day, I can confirm mousse makes all the difference; I couldn’t get mine to hold *at all* without a styler. Verb’s Curl Foaming mousse gel works wonders for me.
It’s kind of sad that we have to do or fallow so much trick and tips to keep the curls on $600-$700 (depending on which color or where you buy it from price varies) on dyson curling tool. When the T3 wands or curling iron without fall will keep the curls intact for days! I know for long term dyson is the good choice because of their great technology being the tools but I have my t3 wands for while now and my hairs doing just great. After all…. All this tools works with hot air to dry or curl hairs so one day hairs will thin out. The whole point of the airwrap is to not fry your hair like the rest of the curling irons do.. It doesn’t get as hot hence why the curls don’t last as long Ofcourse putting in the fact of everyone’s hair types not everyone holds. You’ll need products or mousse to help support the hold while your hair still isn’t being fried
@@Ninau1011 Totally agree with what you’re saying but I have been using my T3 curling irons since over 5 years. Luckily my hair didn’t fry or dry out. again - you are amazing - thank you - love your pro tips :)
I just got it and tried it twice, but even with clipping it falls out in minutes…
It’s so frustrating,, I have fine hair and my Dyson will NOT hold a curl for the life of me. After using it I have to curl my hair with a curling iron what defeats the point of using the Dyson. I’ve tried moose with the hottest setting on damp hair let the curl set for 10 mins and nope it doesn’t work!! Falls straight right after. Seems like a waste of money for me
Same! I think I’ll return it. Have you had any luck?
Nope!! I get a slight wave but a far cry from a curl. The curl looks amazing when I first use it, get to the other side the curl is gone left with a slight wave. Still not worth $600!
Did u managed to find a way to hold the curls ?
I’ve tried everything that all these videos say to do, still doesn’t work!! I’d like to see how it looks a hour after these videos. Mine worst even last 5 mins lol Worst money spent.
For some reason, the thin barrel can’t pick up my hair
hi kelly! hope you're doing fine. with regard to preserving the curls, it means the hair cannot be washed, right? it seems that hair is back to zero once washed.
Hi! I didn’t catch the name of the hairspray you used at the end, can you please write it here or set up a link? ❤
What a great tutorial thank you!! 💝
Love this video. Thank you for the amazing tips.
Again, so thorough and helpful, love it! Thanks Kelly!
I’m glad that it was helpful!
Also, this may be weird but you seriously have the best hairline I’ve ever seen…so jealous lol
Hahaha thank you!
I do alot of these tips and tricks and my hair just won't hold a curl for longer than an hour.
For my case it is the complete opposite... the curls won't loosen and they stay too tightened and fluffy
I agree it’s useless. Doesn’t hold a curl. Was just about to return mine
This many accommodations for such an expensive tool.. at this price I expect it to be able to curl drenched hair. joking, but, I mean seriously
I have thick hair and heavy products don’t even work on my hair
♥️♥️♥️
I keep hearing about this tool so I looked it up the other day and uhhh am I the only one who isn't rich? 👀 How are regular people affording that?
You can save Ulta points and buy on a point multiplier event. I strategized for 3 years. I feel your pain!
