Thanks Jay! An Awesome and Simple nuts and bolts review!! Add to want list. Thank you brother!
I just picked up an ION Alpha + 8 inch as an upgrade to my ION X 8 inch. Never had a problem with my ION X. With EASE I can tell the weight difference between the two and I can't wait to get out on the ice with it.
Mine should be here in Maine by Tuesday. Now bring on the ice!
Love the ion but I thought I would try the new Eskimo e-40 auger have you had a chance to take a look
?
Cool! You guys make new models way too quickly, I can't keep up lol.
I remember when my buddy’s battery went down in the hole. It flew off the auger motor.. he first lost the first battery on the road. He has bad luck or careless. He just fried his gen 2 battery charger. Now he is frantic. It’s the first day of the year. Bad start
Awesome demonstration video!!!!
I’m still deciding which electric auger I’m going to evolve into from my drill.
The power the ALPHA has is really intriguing though.
I had to hunt for a g2 10” last year finally got one and now you come out with the alpha 😑
Just need to win lotto so I can afford one...sweet auger though...
Good luck on game of inches.
From my very frozen igloo on the mountain D.
I could use this in my arsenal as well 😉 😉
Jay how do you find it stands up to extreme cold
Is it the exact same as the e40
That bar keeps the battery off the ice, my buddy froze mine in 3 mins the other day resting my ion battery directly on the ice.
And you wonder why Strike Master had the design for years.
How many 4' holes can it drill with one charge?
4’? Where TF are you ice fishing? Antarctica?
@@joem8875 That's about normal for where I am, here in Canada.🙂
@@PlayerPhill Wow! Thats some serious ice. Is gas auger preferred method up there?
@@joem8875 Yup! Most serious people would use gas augers.
But I'm getting tired of lugging that thing around.
I tried manual one but by the time a couple of holes are drilled, I'm completely out of breath.
I have found good success with drill attachments.
Looking to see any other options.
Happy ice fishing!!
Anyone wana buy a G2. I want this. Cheers from Here’s
I have many problems with the battery charger my buddy won't even spin saling mine and getting a strike master waste of money.
Can u overlap holes?
All day long :)
Pretty much a lazer
What about all the guys who paid over $500 for the previous model the aluminum handlebars broke? Send a new one up and all is forgiven.
