You could also apply the dual form in the same way a second time, but place it at (not on) the cuticle line. Would come out much smoother and reduce filing the nail smooth. Just a suggestion.

I agree. That’s the whole point of the dual form...less filing.
I like the way she did it because when you place the form near the cuticle it never looks the same as when you sculpt it near the cuticle and hardly takes any time to file. But that is a good option too I just like the way she did it better!
So does this suggestion of using the dual form a second time mean to only apply the gel on the bottom part of dual form to fill in that space that was left near cuticle?

That is such a good idea to do the dual form 2/3rds down and then fill the cuticle after!!!!
putting on the dualform to only 2/3 of your nail and fill it in later is actually so smart! so u won’t flood your cuticles with the product, will try it out like this the next time!
It may also be easier to lay down a thin clear layer of Polygel on the Dual Form, then sprinkle in some gel and add a thicker clear layer. That way you don't risk adding air to the PG by stirring in the gel. It may also be a bit faster,

Same! I had issues with the cuticle area using dual forms...
They way you finished the nail is just genius! With dual forms you don't always get a smooth cuticle area like you do with sculpting so creating a tip with the dual form and adding in the cuticle area and apex afterwards by sculpting is truly a genius way to do it! Especially if you're new to the process and can't form the sidewalls on a curved form as easily as just slapping it in the dual form. At first I was like "girl there's no apex!" Then when you applied to just 2/3 of the nail I just about lost it. Then I read the comments and decided to wait. I'm glad I did. You do excellent work.
Thanks for sharing. Great tip for making the C curve. I prefer born pretty poly gel, it’s super easy to work with. I also lay the form closer to the cuticle and use the brush to remove excess. Alcohol can be used in place of slip solution.Love the glitter effect.
Thanks :) btw I did them so far away from the cuticle because I wanted to create an ombre effect but you can't really see it haha

You can use a backing of the paper form or a foil for the documents 😉

I would like to see her put regular nail polish over the whole nail to see if you can still see the glitter .
If it was clear then you would still see it, but you put color on top, then you most likely wouldn't be able to see through it.

Thing is, my polygel doesn't cure well if I add glitter to it. I love this idea but I am not sure how well it will work with my product :(
Take a dual form, apply polygel with glitter inside, then take off the cured polygel and cut it in half to see if it's cured

My daughter has a slime making kit and I also got her an extra box of additives for it that contains a ton of glitter and different shapes and foils. If you want a huge variety glitter, look online and check out slime accessories kits ❤️ I've always wished that UA-cam would let commenters add pictures to their comments so I could show you all what I am talking about. I can never get them right. Underside is always to thick. And when I try not so much it’s to soft it breaks.

I put a very thin layer of clear polygel then add glitter and press down then cure....then I add a second layer of clear to dual form and add to nail and cure which comes out perfect and saves filling after...just a suggestion in case its quicker. Love the nails and thanks for uploading ❤

Can you let you poly gel dry without a UV-Light ?

If it is a sunny day yes ^^ i didn't have uv/led lamp when i started doing my own nails few years ago.. so i used the sun as a lamp! Just make your nails one by one if you use acrygel with dual form, be carefull do not let your products on sun light .. then when you like them go outside the sun will cure them faster than a lamp ;-)
Smart idea to put the form 2/3 on the nail then afterwards put it near the cuticle for a very flush and smooth look!

I love glitter
You should not stir polygel, cause the air bubbles you work into the product won't help the nails static. Bubbles in polygel are very hard to get rid of.

If you used a different brush and paper forms they wouldve turned out better not so thick but good try my first few times sucked when i tried i just liked the paper forms i could shape the nails how i wanted them and the length and get rite to the cuticle

Why did you leave the space bet the tip and the cuticles?
I wanted to use two different mixes of glitter to create color fade. It's also easier to control cuticle area and pinch the nail 😊

You need UV lamp to cure the Polygel

最初にジェル？ミクスチャー？の中にホロとか大量に混ぜてからのせて固めて、後から削った時にホロが表面に出てきたり削りづらくないのかな？
せっかくチップを使って１回で形を作るのに、根元をあえて空間あけてのせて、後からミクスチャー足して筆で形作るならスカルプとあまり変わらないなと思っちゃった
