Great videos, didnt planned to buy this game but all the content ive seen is making me change my mind, on a side note I feel like you underutilize your scout a lot in early game, specially considering they literally scream at you when they find something xD also there is never enough sheep!
Depends if you want long term eco or instant millitary production. his opponent was setting up the mother of all booms so going all in was the right choice here.
@@turinRTS i don't know. doesn't every civ have a counter siege weapon? a pretty cheap one as well. i forgot it's name but it's like a little ballista. they killed bees pretty easily. once people start using them, china loses the one thing they have. :/ i'm not too worried though, i think they'll balance things out over time. hopefully all civs will be somewhat viable so we can play them all without being in a big disadvantage.
sort of been avoiding watching too much of this until closer to the real deal. Not sure how into competitive AoE2 you are Turin, but how is it looking relating to the old classics like Trush, drush, Persian douche etc?

I've been trying to find out, but I forgot to look during the stress test. It doesn't look like Siege causes aoe damage to friendlies anymore. That's kind of a nice improvement. It made cav/inf annoying when running mangonels and trebs.
Jeez! So many micro decisions you need to make. Enjoyable to watch. I wonder if it might be smart for the HRE to go for an early sacred site. Because you already gonna build a Prelate earlier than everybody else. And you can contest it (with a scout) for a long time. The prelate is all about the passive income FIRE movement with those 'buying of sins' papers so why the heck not throw sacred site to attract some religious tourists.
@ Turin: I think a really cool strategy game similar to AO4 is Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. Even though it's an older game, still ridiculously fun!
Its called ages not tiers. Sorry to be nitpicky but I feel names and labels are very important in a game to get the full experience. They are villagers not workers. Also, the game is "age" of empires not "tiers" of empires.

Shame they didn't keep the exact "wololo" sound effect from AoE 2. The memes would have been amazing.
Wololo was AoE1, AoE2 had something more like "woah! Woah!" And not really as a "speech" soundeffect. Wololo was only in as a "player to player" taut.

china needs some work tbh. don't see an equally skilled player holding off vs england or HRE atm.
They can fight HRE well, both are tier 3, and Chinese arty is nasty, England is tough however

Sacred sites also give passive gold income, so you should definetely grab the ones close to you, even if you dont go for that victory condition
