    Good stuff bro. Something to note. For the Parker razor the notches that end up holding the blade fell out of the spine over time. It was near impossible to hold the blade in the razor without having to push the notches in. Not a total loss but it lasted me pretty well for 2 years. Next investment is going to be the Irving! Thanks for the video

    Btw Concise, you're right about the IBC razor aka Irving Barber company razor, it's worth the money you pay for it .I own the cerakote Tiffany blue version..
    I also like the Kashi Japanese stainless steel RB-210 ring type shavette.
    I'm awaiting a stealth razor from MD barber as well..

    The clasp tend to get loose with years of use, not much with slide out razors.
    It can be fixed by using wood strips and vice grip, sometimes the clasp is loose right from the factory.

    I'm using a Wilkinson Sword Shavette, inexpensive and seems to work well.

    Really enjoyed the review! Very natural and informative : )
    I started using the tomb 45 with the medium blade height as my first razor. I think was too advanced for a new barber starting out on any of the higher blade settings as you need to really know what your doing and is quite unforgiving!
    I’ve bought 2 other razors recently and I alternate inbetween all 3- I recommend ‘The Blue beards revenge’ which is an amazing razor, perfectly weighted- quite heavy in the head but very sterdy and only about £8! Insane value and very safe to use on people!
    I also bought the ‘ Jaguar orca’ very light, I’ve grown to really like it. It’s a bit more at £41.50 but it is really good.
    Those 2 have very low blades, do you think you can get the same crispness of the shape up compared to a blade which has more blade showing? Ie the higher 2 settings of the tomb 45. I think the finish looks good when it’s a shallow blade , but I swear the more exposed blades get a finer finish?
    Just wondering what you think : )

    • @ConcisetheBarber
      @ConcisetheBarber  3 роки тому +1

      I honestly think that you can . Exposure of the blade to me seems that it allowed you to see where your cutting and allows light pressure

      @@ConcisetheBarber Thank you, yeah that makes sense. I guess every cutthroat has its perks. Good to keep alternating between different brands with varying blade heights so you’re versatile : )

    I have experience cutting hair & edging up, but I've always been afraid to use straight blades. 😅 I'm going to give the Parker a shot, but there's 3 different Parkers on Amazon that look good... Having a hard time choosing between the 3. The Parker Men’s SR1, Parker SRX, and Parker's Men Rosewood Handl. Which of these 3 would you recommend for a beginner??? Please reply asap. Thank you!

    @ concisethe barber great video 👌👌i have a question if u dont mind i just bought the tomb45 razor and im having alot of trouble getting the astra platinum blades to sit in the 2 grooves in the cartridge , I I bought the Astra double edge blades cuz they were recommended for that razor , I have been putting in the razor with the little edges facing up and still not being able to get it to sit without falling out?

    • @ConcisetheBarber
      @ConcisetheBarber  3 роки тому +1

      whats up kevin.. i honestly have not use Astra blades..but Dorco Prime Platinum....also if this is your first razor blade like that it can be tricky which is why the traditional razor is widely used more.

    I know each razors you showed. All are garbage. The best is the Parker that is a mediocrum razor but makes is works even if with big difficulties. The only good razors are Feather dx and Kai Kasho, that are not perfect but really very good with small defects!!!! No alternatives! The one you showed that load also big blades doesn't take fixed the long blade!!!! and is very bad in like anatomy like the others! Others are also worst and no worth to expose the defects are too big!!!!

    • @ConcisetheBarber
      @ConcisetheBarber  3 роки тому +8

      lol OUCH ... Garbage though...man I need a review of some great razors from you. I wouldn't say they are Garbage..just not to your liking. I think out of all of them ...the one that fits best in your hand is the parker. and for the beginning barbers I did request that one. And i also like the irving razor due to the flexibility of blade options. its not the best fit but still doable ..Ive used a feather razor... definitely not garbage..just think its a matter of preference
