We booked a tour for this and the tour company c0cked everything up for us so i came here to see if i missed out on anything with my own eyes, also the staff were horrible. i have a walking disability and while i was using the railing to support myself upstairs a guard stormed down, saw me and stood until i moved for him and i nearly fell down. I guess italians haven't caught up with the rest of europe on invisible disabilities, I'll never be back at this place again, even if the art was amazing the staff are just as cold and stoney as the statues. This place really dimmed what has been an otherwise okay holiday, i reccomend everyone to go somewhere else there are other beautiful and much less touristy expensive villas and galleries, hidden gems even.
What an incredibly dumb comment and suggestion 😅. One should skip one of the most beautiful art collection in the world because you had a bad experience with a staff member, just ridiculous
I went to the official website for tickets and guided tours. I could not find any information in English. Any suggestions on how to get ticket information in English? A direct link would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Doreen - I never was able to get to the official website. It just woudn't open for me. I will copy the link I used to get tickets and book tours, and it worked great for me. I believe it is also sanctioned by the museum. www.tosc.it/artist/galleria-borghese/galleria-borghese-2253937/
Did you buy from the gallery? If so, you might try calling their tickets line and explaining what happened. You don't want a refund, just an exchange for a tour with a different language. They very well could go for that.
I stood outside the Borges gallery for over an hour trying to catch a taxi. I even use the suggested app, but it was just too crowded at that particular time. And please do He this man’s advice and get your tickets in advance, or you will be outside the gallery crying like I was.
When my daughters and I went in 2019 we started on the top floor as advised by Rick Steve's book. Then we got rushed out and didn't get to see the first floor. Be mindful of the time and realize they will put you out when you time is up. Big disappointment.

Great video, one question, was the tour in Italian?

I used the link you provided above and everything is written in Italian. Did you find ticket information in English?
Do you have any tips if you purchased the wrong tickets? I accidentally purchased the Italian guided tour not English!

Prebook your time slot and then go to the Gallery. What MORE does one have to do??!!

Where did the wealth come from?
Scipione Borghese was a cardinal.
The best museum in Rome is MUSEO NAZIONALE ROMANO.
