He was always complaining about how movies were not realistic because they did not have ditches in defensive fortification.

How about a song about the Battle of the Teutoburg forest?`It took place around 9 years after christ. The battle took place at the Teutoburg forest which is located in Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany. Back then the roman Publius Quinctilius Varus and 3 roman regiments were beaten by the german army led by Armenius Germanicus. It was one of the last battles that led Rome up to give up their plans in making that part of Germany or Germanien back then to a roman province. The german leader himself actually was taken hostage and was brought to Rome (presumeably already when he was a child or still in his youth) and became an officer of the roman army. But he turned against Rome now knowing all about the roman tactics since he was part of their army before. The battle took place in a terrain that was full of trees, swamp and unsteady ground. The roman regiments consisted of about 20.000 men and were formed in a convoy on a small street. The convoy was about 15 to 20kms long. Since the german men obviously knew the terrain way better and the Romans also had difficulties to move around in this terrain with their heave armor the germans war able to beat them. The story is way longer though but that's what's your history channel is for anyways ;) Just thought such a battle in a forest defending their country against the romans and actually after that began to offensively attack Romans that occupied Germania would make a perfect metal song :D

How about a song about the Battle of the Teutoburg forest?`It took place around 9 years after christ. The battle took place at the Teutoburg forest which is located in Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany. Back then the roman Publius Quinctilius Varus and 3 roman regiments were beaten by the german army led by Armenius Germanicus. It was one of the last battles that led Rome up to give up their plans in making that part of Germany or Germanien back then to a roman province. The german leader himself actually was taken hostage and was brought to Rome (presumeably already when he was a child or still in his youth) and became an officer of the roman army. But he turned against Rome now knowing all about the roman tactics since he was part of their army before. The battle took place in a terrain that was full of trees, swamp and unsteady ground. The roman regiments consisted of about 20.000 men and were formed in a convoy on a small street. The convoy was about 15 to 20kms long. Since the german men obviously knew the terrain way better and the Romans also had difficulties to move around in this terrain with their heave armor the germans war able to beat them. The story is way longer though but that's what's your history channel is for anyways ;) Just thought such a battle in a forest defending their country against the romans and actually after that began to offensively attack Romans that occupied Germania would make a perfect metal song :D
