The dialogue is so natural in this it's insane. Really sucks you into the story and the emotion of this woman having A Day.
I want to comment something positive but the thing is this piece is special in such a way that it speaks for itself. There's nothing to add.

there is something so incredibly human in this. It just feels so real, I don't know any better way to express it. At first she cut her hair out of impulse and she realized she fucked up and her only thought was that she needs to be presentable quickly at any cost, but then towards the end she decides to not care about others opinions at all and goes even *shorter* and takes a day off to take the time for herself she clearly needs in this difficult situation. It's beautiful
1:12 this dialogue hurt me - especially the increasing tone about “how will you have eggs? How will you become pregnant? How will I have grandchildren?”; genius part to change scenes there because that is usually when I would’ve hung up a real phone call. Loved the scene where she’s fiddling with her wedding ring. Good luck with all your career endeavors!

I just love the voices here, its so raw and realistic!!!! It just adds more essence to the film, i absolutely love it!!!!
Damn this has so much fucking SOUL!! The clean lines and the block colours for the hair make it really clearly the focus, and the voice acting is super well recorded. The sound effects give it a really nice sensory feel, and the whole thing is just scrumptious. The scream at the end though sounds like someone was scared of being too loud in a dorm not someone screaming frustration and emotion out at the world. It’s still fucking stunning, but the dip in audio quality/clarity I think really made the end not hit home as much as it might have with a crisper more raw sounds
honestly the scream feeling somewhat still repressed is really what made it for me. id be scared to scream at full volume into the street too.. but id still want to try
I was waiting for someone to reply this! I relate to that scream, I've screamed it many times before. I hadn't related as much to the hair cutting but when she let that repressed scream out the window, it was not only relatable, it tied the entire animation together for me, as if all the emotions and burdens the character was feeling throughout the past 5 minutes of our observation was tucked in a letter sent to us through her voice.
I feel like short films like these are so good that it captures the viewers feelings well.

not this coming up in my recommendations after i just went to the hairdresser to get my hair cut short lmao, this is beautiful btw!
i adore this so much. i can't even articulate how much it feels to me! the frickin. stress and symbol that long hair is in terms of like.. womanhood etc etc. pressure from your parents to keep it long, and the power of getting rid of that... waugh!!!! i love it.
also the voice of the person giving the haircut is really nice ^^
this is a personal story i know but i never felt so seen before.
god, the raw emotion i feel from watching this is amazing.
The (almost) strictly lineart animation style is almost deceivingly simple, but it adds focus to all the details that're carefully made.
Absolutely amazing soundwork too!!! it feels so natural and smooth- I'm a sucker for well-done and well-placed audio/music lol

The style is like a warm marshmallow. Really liked the voice acting as well, didn't feel forced.

Because it's a default alarm. Nobody's trying to have the same ringtone as someone oh so special as you.
