Title is misleading, I didn’t understand anything about consumer behaviour, but I now I understand what her career is about and how it helps corporations. The questions asked to her only let her to talk about her job not her work, nor the concepts and how they become aplicable. Even within the same 5 minutes, another set of questions would have take better advantage of the opportunity of having such brilliant and knowledgeable scientists right there ready to share her life’s lessons with us.

Neurobiology isn't simply some science course at your local university taught by professors with research experience. It's also a field that marketers enable in order to optimize their understanding of human behavior in a consumer perspective.

@@CastleHassall Consumer Behaviour is a marketing topic, in terms of understanding consumer psychology, you have to understand business and marketing first! Secondly, marketing is the real-world application of consumer psychology otherwise studying just "neuroscience or psychology" would be useless in terms of application, it will be only beneficial for academia.

Don't need any neuroscience to tell you that price tags affect people's perception and preference of wine's taste. Very often we are confused if consumer behavior researchers are helping practices first, or they are trying to fake its importance before practitioners just to get funding for more foundational science discovery. All that you need to understand consumers are big data-based relationships plus focused observations of their experiential journeys.
