Tried out the welt pocket with a flap and pocket bag for this week's bonus video. The key thing to keep in mind is the finishing makes this detail shine even more. Have you tried this pocket style?
Hi Kim, thank you for this tutorial, it’s really helpful. I have one question, the inches of fabric taken out from the main bodies (at the pocket area) to form the welt, won’t it affect the Lenght of the main bodies? Are we suppose to add up that allowance from the intial bodies Lenght ?
Thank you! So many UA-cam videos on this topic just have people doing it and not talking the viewer through it. They're useless. It makes a huge difference to have someone explaining it. I will bookmark this video and use it to guide me through.
I’m in fashion school at the moment and have to do a welt pocket for an assignment. The way they showed us how to do it was confusing and too many steps... this is so much neater, simpler and cleaner looking. Thank you so much.
Holy fuck, you are an absolute lifesaver!! I’ve been struggling with the pockets on this suit pattern for WEEKS and I was able to figure them out in about an hour with this tutorial! Thank you so much!!
Making a simple jacket from a Burda pattern for my mother in law. It of course has to have pockets and a lining... Thanks for helping me make some very pretty pockets. Now for the lining...
You re a blessing to many generations! I needed to make a top with this pocket and I had been checking out videos which most of them confused me even more! Thanks so so much!
This was honestly the easiest way I've seen to make these. First time making s formal jacket and i was thinking to do real pockets instead of fakes. And this is just amazingly helpful. Thank you. 😊
Thank you so much for this video. I was frustrated trying to figure this out following a simplicity pattern. I was in tears trying to figure it out. And you made it seem like it was a piece of cake 🎂. You made it seem so very easy! Thank you so so much!
Fashion student here!! Our teacher told us to make one of these and your video is the best one I have found after lots!! It's exactly the same steps and procedure we have to do, you are a life saver thank you so much!! 🥲🥲🥲
Ohh god,,yesterday only i searched for this pocket tutorial video in youtube..now only I'm satisfied with yours.. thankyou so much my pretty girl♥️♥️♥️💕💕💕💕
Dear Kim, thank you so much for this awesome tutorial. I'm making a jacket for my partner, and I was terrified of sewing welt pockets. The pattern instructions were complicated. Other UA-cam clips lost me. But this one is absolutely brilliant. I was able to make welt pockets because of you. Thank you! I'd love to send you pictures. :)
Thank you thank you thank you! I'm trying to make a blazer for my father and I got so confused by how the instructions were written, I know how to do it now!
Hello ma'am. I would just like to ask if what fabric is most suitable with a blazer having puffed sleeves and overlapped bodice? Thank you so much I love watching your tutorials ❤️
I really love ur tutorials. So simple and informative. 💗 I would like to know if what type of fabric would you recommend in making formal trousers and blazer.
This is a great tutorial, my only suggestion is that the pocket opening should be the same size as the flap. So, when you were giving your measurements the pocket flap and opening she have been the same.
@@KimDave Oh great. Very warm weather. You are a fantastic young Lady . Very talent . I learnt from you how to do flear dresses . I wish if i could have lernt sewing at younger age. I find it amazing the the fabric doesn’t spread when you cut in the triangles-Even if you ate careful.
