Love this technique so much! Brings you out of your comfort zone. Something I can't wait to try! The finish product is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing 💕
I absolutely love what you ended up with!!!! At one point there, I thought, 'Oh dear, this isn't going to end well', but you persevered, and wow, how good does the zine look?!!!! ❤😀
I love how these turned out! It’s fun to make a mini project where you feel like you have completed something, while a whole big journal is a journey over time. I love the ‘roll the dice’ game! Can you share what was on your three little papers to help get me started? I’m new to art journaling so any tips I can get is a big blessing! Btw, I love your channel! You make everything seem do-able for us beginners! Thanks so much!
It was fun, I couldn’t find a dice so I used your throws. MY colors came out differently! Definitely like yours better!😂 I’ll make the little book tomorrow! Thank you for a fun afternoon!
This turned out great! It’s amazing how colors and patterns can turn out in smaller sizes! A hack that I came across but don’t remember where…they recommended using cornstarch or talcum powder to thicken runny paint. Immediately thought of you with your thin peachy pink. Haven’t tried it yet. My peachy pink seems to be ok. Thanks Erin❤️
Thanks so much! I should try the cornstarch idea. That might work! I do have a new bottle and it doesn't seem to be as runny as the old. Must have been a bad batch.
Thank you so very much Erin, I really really enjoyed watching you create this beautiful and gorgeous piece that you made into a Zine. Great idea to create a background for anything you want to do with it. I absolutely love ❤❤❤❤ this and I’m going to try it out soon. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
That is a fun way to use some supplies or colors that I may not normally reach for -- I guess you could also use 2 dice and add the numbers to get additional techniques or colors. Really like your results!
Using additional dice might a good idea. That way you could have more colors, for example. I was also thinking you could do two colors for each number, like "peach AND/OR red". That would give you some more options and you could do weird combinations and see waht happens.
What a great idea. I really liked how the stamp with the watercolour, never have thought of that. One question for you, what is a zine? I haven’t heard of that before.
One of the most entertaining art videos I've seen in a long time. :D It makes me want to give this a go myself... NOT! LOL Actually, I do think I'll do it. As a beginner, I love prompts. That said, well played on your part!
@eb_mixedmedia thank you!! I really enjoy watching you create, and your voice is so comforting. It makes me want to pull up a chair at my painting table, watch the tutorial, and then try it for myself :-) !!!
It was fun, I couldn’t find a dice so I used your throws. MY colors came out differently! Definitely like yours better!😂 I’ll make the little book tomorrow! Thank you for a fun afternoon!

I questioned my choices too!! lol!!

alright, lady ... I am completely fascinated - love the paint, the random, the new idea! of a "zine"
Glad you like it!
I loved it! Even when you said “I don’t like this game anymore “ 😂. I thought this was such fun and definitely want to try.
LOL! I was getting frustrated. I think the die was rigged!!! I seemed to keep rolling the same numbers!
@@eb_mixedmedia 😆 I did notice that, lol….
Wow! That turned out fantastic. The cover has definitely got some Klimt vibes!
I hadn’t thought of that but it does!
Love how it turned out❤

you crack me up! 'I don't like this game anymore'....so funny
I really didn’t in that moment! Lol!!
Can you choose your own 6 colors? Love this project!
Yes! You can choose any colors, techniques, or mediums you want!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
That was brilliant. Could not believe how creative you were with the results of the throw of the dice.
Loved watching this video.
Thank you very much!
Way to go! You know what Seth Apter says?" One more layer until magic" TFS
That's a great quote! I had not heard that one. I thought this was going to go on forever!!! LOL!
Oh my, that was actually quite an awesome process and result! Thank you for showing it.
Glad you liked it!
Love it, but I was laughing at how it looked at first, with you😂. It really looks like fun!
You were laughing, I was crying!! I really thought I would never be able to post the video!! lol!!
This was great!

Tfs! Really enjoyed watching your whole process while sipping my coffee! I've done it b4 and very fun and gets u to try new things!❤❤❤
I just love the radomness of it all and the thrill of not quite knowing if it is going to work and then excitement when it does!
New subbie. Debbie from MyVagabonStyle sent me over. Love this game. Your page turned out beautifully!
Thanks and welcome!
This was sooo much fun to watch. Thank you for doing this for us 🎉❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
I know you said it wasn’t a favorite but it turned out really wonderful and interesting! So fun! Gets those little grey cells going!😂
Yes, that’s right!! Forces you to try new things!
I so enjoyed this video! So much fun to watch and the end result was amazing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love it❤️🎉
Thank you!
I love it! What a great way to get things moving. Loved your end result. Also loved that large stamp - can you tell me what it is, please?
I found that stamp at a flea market so have no idea where it came from. There are no markings on it unfortunately.
@@eb_mixedmedia Thanks so much for replying - great find!! Am trying your technique, it is fun and very interesting.
What a great idea. I really liked how the stamp with the watercolour, never have thought of that. One question for you, what is a zine? I haven’t heard of that before.
It’s just a little booklet made from one sheet of paper. You can decorate it any way you’d like.
This is amazing! May I ask what size needle do you use on your machine? Also what type of thread?
I'm not sure about the needle size. It came in the machine so whatever the standard size is I guess and I just used regular thread. Nothing special.
I've never seen this technique. Absolutely gorgeous! Did you make your own lists? I have to go try this today! TFS and inspiring ❤
I think I might have taken it from Traci but perhaps modfied to suit the supplies i had on hand and the colors I prefer.
@@eb_mixedmedia got it. Thanks
Love it. How big was your piece of paper?
I think it was just standard 8.5 x 11.
❤️❤️❤️
One of the most entertaining art videos I've seen in a long time. :D It makes me want to give this a go myself... NOT! LOL Actually, I do think I'll do it. As a beginner, I love prompts. That said, well played on your part!
Thanks! It definitely requires you to step outside of your comfort zone which can be stressful but it’s also kind of liberating as well!
❤
What do you do with a Zine? I love the results too.
Thanks! You can just decorate them into little journals/books.
I wasn’t liking the game either; however, it was fun to watch and the zine came out great!
I was getting totally stressed that it was going to be a big mess and a waste of time. I just need to let go and trust the process!
Could you tell us what stencil it is? Please
What size and type of paper are you using?
It's just standard piece of cardstock. I believe it's 8.5 x 11.
@eb_mixedmedia thank you!! I really enjoy watching you create, and your voice is so comforting. It makes me want to pull up a chair at my painting table, watch the tutorial, and then try it for myself :-) !!!
@@carolfowler7637 Thanks so much! That's so kind of you to say!!
It did turn out lovely in the end.
Thanks! Once I folded it up, I really liked it.
I started doing this....have a White piece of paper and my cube tells me to remove (2) Acrylics(3) in Turquise(4)....maybe have to restart again.
😂 I’ve had some of those rolls!!
🩵🩵🩵
Isn't "zeen" actually spelled zine?
Yes. Did I spell it wrong somewhere?
It was fun, I couldn’t find a dice so I used your throws. MY colors came out differently! Definitely like yours better!😂 I’ll make the little book tomorrow! Thank you for a fun afternoon!
Glad you had fun!! Instead of using dice, I saw someone else wrote the prompts on papers and drew them like a lottery.
