Perforation is what it is called! 😂 you could even use hole reinforcement stickers from an office supply store to make the holes stronger. Or how about using eyelets and an eyelet setter to do each hole with an eyelet …. That would hold together and add some interest! I can’t wait to try this! Thanks for the inspiration. Your pink journal will be fun to play in and do art journalling on!
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the suggestions. I punched the holes too close to the edge of the paper so I could not really use the hole reinforcers. I have thought of using eyelets, but I don’t want to use that many because they’re kind of expensive😊💖

I made a pink one, have started a blue/green one and probably will have to do a black and white one. I just love this process and the binding. ❤️ thank you!
So happy to learn this technique. I have gotten very bored with my same journals and decided to completely change what I’m doing. This is a perfect way to get started. I also love that the pages lay flat.
This is a great method for single-page binding. I am currently half-way through an online art course, and while most of the projects are done in a spiral-bound drawing sketchbook, some of them are on different papers (pastel paper, watercolour paper) which have been torn out of the pads. They are slightly larger than the sketchbook, too. I have been thinking about binding them all together in a book when the course is finished, to make a complete record of what I have done, and have been wondering how to bind it as they are single pages, many of which have work on both sides. I think this may be the answer. I particularly like the way the pages lie flat when the book is opened. I would make a more sturdy cover for the front and back, large enough to cover the larger sheets. I think it will make a very nice keepsake of the course.
WOW! This is a new binding to me. Perfect for single pages. Thank you do much for posting this and the lovely, clear, efficient explanation! 💗 Subscribed. 😊
