i’ve been wanting to start using cream eyeshadows as an easy way to feel more done up since i’m not really putting on a full face of makeup anymore and was so excited to see this video was in the works. thank you so much for the effort you’ve put into this video!!!!
I bought the ulta cream shadow in “Game Over” because of your recommendation and I use it every. single. day. no joke. my go-to is putting a little of that in my crease and applying the smoke reflect in temper on my lids, both the cream and the topper.
Kiko - Taupe shadow stick is one of my all times faves. The kiko store in my town just shut down which is gutting! Definitely going to check out the Revlon Caramel shade. Such a good and in depth video! ETA - Kiko have some lovely potted cream shadows. Creamy colour lasting shadow in Champagne is a personal favourite.
@@Kay-vf8wu that's wonderful, kiko is one of my favorite brands, so wish I had a store near me, but I would probably be in trouble 😀 $$$ the eyeshadow sticks are my love and the gloss!!! I hope to invest in some of the cream pots later this year.
This is one of the best beauty videos I've seen. The effort that has gone in shows, so helpful! Love the application shots. I love the essence melted chrome - ironic and the copper shade are my favourite x
Omg i finally got Amanda’s fav’s the Ulta cream matte shadows and the Italian ice bouncy cream shadows and a rose gold foil and OMG the matte cream shadows are incredible with Italian ice on top! They lasted me all day to the night and my eyes looked perfect! No creasing! Amanda you’re never wrong. All your suggestions work on me! Love love love!
You introduced me to that Almay shadow and I actually prefer it to the Charlotte T for its longevity on my deep set eyes. I love the color too! Lasts all day. Thank you so much for all your work :)
Heard a rumour, just a rumour, there is some ‘talk’. Ultra maybe coming to Boots some time in the future. I can’t remember who but it was a beauty ‘influencer’ from the UK. But please don’t take this a true. As I said, rumour, even when I heard it it was said, but I remember maybe a little 😉
I keep coming back to this video for reference. All the work you put in shows. Thanks for making such an authoritative guide to affordable cream shadows!
Have you tried the Rimmel Wonder'Clouds? I'm not much of a cream shadow wearer (extremely oily lids), but I have Foggy Beige and Truffle Haze and they're pretty long-lasting! They're whipped in texture, and they layer really well for more pigment intensity. They've made good shadow bases when I want to layer a topper like the Colourpop Ultra Glitter SSS on top ❤
I love the elf shadow stick. They have this perfect gunmetal blue-gray shade that I love. It’s the perfect blue and I’m not a blue eyeshadow person. They can do a great smudgy line. I actually like the Cover Girl one, but I have a bronze shade.
On those cream shadows like Urbanite, all you need is one drop of Inglot's Duraline in there, and you have made it thinner and creamier in seconds! It's how I saved many cream shadows that I didn't like at all. Also makes anything waterproof! :)
I just want to say how grateful that I am to have found your channel! As someone who is trying to re enter the workforce, and just get back into wearing makeup in general, your channel has so much awesome content. I'm not going to lie, I had kind of been avoiding beauty related UA-cam videos for a while because they just weren't relatable to me, and neither were their creators. To come back and find someone like you, so down to earth, is truly a breath of fresh air. 💜
I'll just note that I can't believe how comprehensive this is and how much you crammed into this video - in terms of number of shadows, of course, but the detail, swatches, wear, application. I'll be referring back to this one! Thank you!
Just saw this video! Thank you so much for testing all of these shadows. I literally took notes on my iPhone! So many beautiful shadows were featured. It was nice that there were more formulas you liked than disliked. The inserts of you applying a lot of these is appreciated. I also took notes of the liquid shadow bases and which shadows needed them. 💚💜💚🍺🍺
You went all in! What an amazing video! I just love how well you know and describe formulas! Really appreciate knowing what’s making the shine/shift/metallic/glossiness….I don’t always want glitter :) Your shots are so helpful!
Thanks for this great detailed video! I’m 60 but watch all your videos and am never disappointed. In the Revlon colorstay bold range I think you might really enjoy 805 Stardust
Couldn’t wait for this video! I loved it. Lots of hard work went into testing, swatching and trying them all on. Thanks so much!! I love your content and makeup aesthetic.
The nyx jumbo pencils are definitely a hard pass for oily eyelids even with the best of eyeshadow primers. I also have a hard time with the kiko pencils used by themselves. I can only use them as a base for powder eyeshadow. Do you know about the lasting power for your recommendations on oily lids?
I have the same problem with the NYX pencils! I thought I was doing something wrong. I never tried the Kiko pencils, because I'm allergic to bismuth oxychloride.
My favorite cream stick shadows (at least as far as mattes go) are the ones from Julep and Beauty Pie. Laura Mercier is hard to beat for a lot of people, but I actually prefer Julep and Beauty Pie for their color range cause it just feels more unique. I still have yet to try the super shock shadows and the Nyx color sticks tho and everytime I see you use them I want them!
i didn't know where else to put this, but you should compare sheer lipsticks/balms like charlotte tilbury happikiss, elf hydrating core, em cosmetics lip cushion, the chanel one you love, etc! (ultralip might be in the mix, but i know you're not supporting or promoting glossier)
First off, Thanks for all your hard work with this video. Helps us all a lot. I love Urbanite. My color payoff is way more than your swatch. It is good for slightly wrinkled eyes.( I'm 54) Stays all day. I use Highroller and Urbanite together all the time.
So....I am late to the party but dang what a party! So happy to find this, I am just starting with cream and stick shadows so thank You so much. Also I subscribed. Love your presentation and demonstration. Thank you again.
Amanda, I love your videos. I like to take notes in a spiral notebook and then highlight what I want to buy from the group. After that I put it in a Make Up binder for permanent reference. That is much easier than writing 5-10 4X4 sticky notes on each video. The sticky note pile was driving me crazy!!! But your information is so worth keeping to refer back to. QUESTION: WHAT ARE CREAMY LINER PRODUCTS??? I was intrigued by the quick Maybelline Color Strike Cream To Shadow Eye Pens because I have struggled mightily with eyeliners with a ton of frustration from eyeliner smearing underneath my eyes. Got to try Hustle & Flare soon! IDEA: MAYBE YOU COULD DO A VIDEO ON EYELINER PRODUCTS THAT STAY IN PLACE AND DON'T SMEAR ALL UNDER YOUR EYES!!! Rhonda
I loved your video, thanks for all the information, I’ve gotten a few of the ulta cream shadows and also a few of the bouncy cream shadows that are the ulta brand. I love cream shadows, I love the same thing u love in the cream shadows. So your video really spoke to me.
I have always loved one and done eyeshadows so it was so refreshing to find your channel a year ago. This is my favorite kind of video ever! Thanks for the comprehensive reviews.
I was so happy to see that you like the Ulta beauty line of cream shadows because I think people have been sleeping on them! Vintage Beauty in the matte cream formula and Maple Pecan in the bouncy cream formula are my every day staples! Great video!
Wow!! Just loved this video!! Heading to Ultra in just a few minutes!! Just have to try out some of these products you have shown!! Been looking for fast and easy eyeshadow looks for mornings I sleep in and are in a hurry!!
you killed it with this video!! so much hard work went into this and we really appreciate it! i love that you show hand swatches as well as blended out eye swatches, it's so so helpful!!
I have been excited for this video since last YEAR and it lived up to the hype. As usual, the most effort and high quality video of this kind I've ever seen! I find the shopmissA AOA Studios velour cream shadows to also be great. They surprised me so much for how cheap they were
I purchased Wet n wild megalast liquid catsuit eyeshadows at Dollar Tree so they're probably discontinued shades. "Putty in my hands" looks very much like your Ulta creme shadow fave. Shells and whistle gives that metallic wet sheen, lovely but cashmere love was a frosty shadow that was not my vibe. Not all metallics have the same effect. I've learned that from you. I was wondering what to do with the cream shadow color that matches my skin tone and thanks to you, I see its potential as a secret weapon! Lol. Thank you
I think you deserved a million of subbies! Your content is wow! I am binge watching since I found your channel. It's what I always check for when buying makeup. 🥺🖤
The L’Oréal brilliant eyes has some really beautiful shades, I’ve got a CVS exclusive one called meteor shower that has the most gorgeous blue/pink duchrome in a rose gold peachy base.
Phew! This was a workout! (I took written notes...). I love your looks, so I payed attention here. I see you do like to play with light and that is what I see on your eyes, so I value your advice! This was a great introduction and basics for me. Excited!
My natural lid color matches MAC’s omega, although the rest of my skin is pale cool toned skin, so some of these colors are just my lid color…but I appreciate the full explanation of the formulas and what to expect! I am looking for a gloss over one and done to look polished, I usually do a strong lip 1950s style aesthetic…excellent video that is very helpful! 🤗
I have picked up the Ulta cream/ liquid shadows and they are definitely a win! I also was finally able to find Charlotte Tilbury , Oyster Pearl ❤ *Not affordable
Absolutely loved this video and appreciated all the effort that went into it! It’s so helpful when you show swatches of everything, show them up close on the lids, and on top of that, give us a long term opinion of the product (not just a first impression). Really want to pick up one of those Ulta Bouncy Eyeshadows!
The super shock ended up being so so glittery with fall out for me (Plume and Sail away). They look so satiny on you. I am going to try a satin and matte, but there are not many options. I loved the formula. I also got the Supergoop Sunset and Golden Hour recently after your recommendation and now I need all 4. I lovvvve them. Another one that I tried was Chanel New Moon which also had a lot of glitter and fall out, but I had tried Scintillance earlier and its perfect for a topper. I think you would like it! These are my thoughts after watching your videos and being influenced for a few months, lol!
I have one of the CP super shock shadows and the only problem I have is I want more of them.😀 The Ultra gameover is a staple in my collection. I am a mature women and cream eyeshadow are great for my dry lids.
Love this video! I’d actually say the Kiko shadow sticks are more similar to the By Terry Ombré Blackstars than the caviar sticks (in terms of texture, especially).
Thanks to you I think I found my new love. I'm getting older and I think creams and eyeshadow sticks work best on me. Wish I would've found you sooner I would've saved a ton of money on all my other makeup I don't really wear. I do not regret my Colourrpop Mauves, Taupe, Coconut or blush eyeshadow palettes. I love supershock shadows
Urbanite from Maybelline is my go-to for my no-makeup makeup look. I apply it with a small dense brush all around the eye, add mascara and a tinted lip balm and I am ready to go.
This was just the video I needed! I’ve been loving cream shadows but I like to get affordable ones since they dry out and don’t last as long as powder eyeshadows. Especially appreciate the comparisons of similar formulas/shades!
I love the idea for this video I am all about cream products especially affordable ones and if they come in colorful shades then I'm in love. I love your hair color! I feel the same way about ulta eyeshadow primer.. it's one of the best I've used. Nobody talk about it. The super shock shadows aren't cream shadows though.. colourpop did just come out with cream shadows. I was curious if you would include them on here. I agree with what you said about products selling out, not being able to get them. I have literally tried to get my hands on 2 shades of the jelly much shadows, I even selected for them to notify when it was in stock, I've never been notified. I have checked the site over a dozen times and they have never once been in stock. They need to worry about the products that they that they offer more so than coming out with new launches every week.. the super shocks are what Made them. I still have not understood why they have not done a build your own super shock palette, that would be genius. I often forget about single shadows it would be a lot of peoples most favorite palette, I'm certain. The best bright shades I've found in my life are Coconut, a deep blue and slave2pink, a hot pink. They are the most stunning shades I've ever seen. I will never purchase from them again though after the last 2 purchases and having to deal with customer service both times. I just purchased all 3 of their mystery boxes, they were all sent separately I received the small one, then the medium and then they sent me another medium CP confidential this happened to a couple UA-camr's they ordered the Mega and they were sent the CP confidential which is the medium size and getting them to understand the mix up was beyond frustrating back-and-forth over a dozen emails. I saw it happen to 3 different UA-camr's and obviously it happened to myself, I can't imagine how many people it happened to.
We don’t have the same selection up here in Canada. I do like are the Burt’s bees cream eyeshadow and the Rimmel Wonder’Cloud which remind me of the Smashbox always on cream shadows.
Which brand of cream eyeshadow would you suggest for a mature, textured, hooded eye for someone just starting out using cream shadows please? In addition to the eyeshadows you've mentioned in this video you've also mentioned Charlotte Tilbury's Eyes to Mesmerise, would hers or one of the products you've mentioned here be best?
Have you tried colourpop creme eyeshadow? Or Models prefer? Etude shadow stick? Or australis metallix? Would love to hear your review and comparisons on these products
Store your potted cream shadows upside down, helps them stay moist longer
This is a good tip!!! Thank you 😊
Brilliant idea!
THIS 👏🏻
What is this mean? Like the cover of the pot is on the floor? And what makes this help? If its upside down?
I already do that for the ones that have glass bottom jars.
When I tell you I freaking love you and your content- it doesn’t even do justice to how I feel! You’re simply the best 💗🥰

Well Said.

I bought almost all the shades of melted chrome. So beautiful and affordable. They still have them in most stores.

The NYX potted shadow in Baroque looks absolutely stunning on you.

This was just the video I needed! I’ve been loving cream shadows but I like to get affordable ones since they dry out and don’t last as long as powder eyeshadows. Especially appreciate the comparisons of similar formulas/shades!
Have you tried the colourpop stick shadows? I'm curious if they are good or dry.
Omgeee, why did I not find you before today.... you are just amazing!! Thank you, thank you, and thank you!!!
I’m so glad we are connected now!!!

You really did your homework. Thank you SO much!! Packed full of information ❤
What a fabulous video so glad i found your channel !! You do a great job , very comprehensive and I love cream products !!
I saw it happen to 3 different UA-camr's and obviously it happened to myself, I can't imagine how many people it happened to.
my favorite quick shadow look is using the L'Oréal infallible 24hr waterproof shadow in Amber Rush!
Oooh I’ll have to check that out!
Very helpful review. Some of the Ulta cream shadows tend to be a bit clumpy but they have good color selection.
Have you tried colourpop creme eyeshadow? Or Models prefer? Etude shadow stick? Or australis metallix? Would love to hear your review and comparisons on these products
THANK YOU! This video is a dream come true
Loved this video, thank you for the big effort!
