THANK YOU FOR WATCHING AND BEING WONDERFUL!!!
Space Cowboy did a good job at demonstrating that a wet look doesn't necessarily mean most sparkly. I found others you swatched to be brighter or more sparkly, but space cowboy still looked wetter.
I layered space cowboy over CT Oyster pearl yesterday, highly recommend!
Fun fact: Space Cowboy is a celeb favorite/cult product in Korea, famous for its vaseline-'gwang' (gloss, light, shine) effect.
I need that eyeshadow- even if it’s just to swatch it every so often. It’s really so beautiful 😍
It’s sold out everywhere even when I wanted to get it 😭
@ Ulta has it in stock right now ☺️
@@mariarios3521 AHH should've clarified, I live in Asia

Thanks a lot !!!
Bless you
oo that combination of the gold rings and flaky gold nail polish is so beautiful
It’s seriously captivating
please do a look mixing that purple and gold together!? That was so visually pleasing to watch. Made my brain go BRRRRRT.
Right?! I was thinking the same thing! Let’s get weird with it!!
Definitely agree; that mix is fabulous!
I literally had an out of body experience when you dampened the pat mcgrath special shade, and ran to try it with a bit of mac fix plus. Holy shit. Now I know why she named them SPECIAL. Holy crap, new level of amazing unlocked. Shiny-wet but because no color base it’s all high shine wetness. Ive ascended into heaven with this discovery of what my own items can do.
Space Cowboy literally looks like an orange eyeshadow on me, it shows how important skin tone is to these wet look shadows! I am an EXTREME pink undertone, like peppa pig pink lol.
I’m super pink too. That is good to know. A lot pulls orange on me. Thank you!
Lol that’s why white women are so jelly about black queens
@@heythere8917 what
I’m peppa pig pink too! I was just about to buy space cowboy.. thanks for talking me out of it! I hate orange on me!
I got downvoted to hell on reddit for even trying to claim SC can pull orange ;( thank you for confirming I’m not crazy
Space cowboy is my all time favorite eyeshadow. I can wear it alone on my lid for a wet look or on top of literally any shadow/color and gives the perfect amount of sparkle - it’s subtle, not chunky and perfect for more mature women that still want to wear glitter but look classy and not like a disco ball! Great video as always.
Urban Decay needs to get back to creating more Moondust Shadows JS
Agreed, less focus on churning out naked palettes and more focus on the stuff they're good at - unique, fun and edgy
Agreed.
Yesssss!!!! Solstice is my absolute favorite shade of eyeshadow. It's one that if I don't have time to do my eyeshadow I just pop solstice on my lid and blend up and that's all I need.
I so appreciated that you played with the lighting here! Studio lighting in combination with camera and screen distortion can make *seeing* makeup difficult. The light experimentation paired your description skills took this video to another level! Love your thoughtful and studied approach to beautiful things 💜
Fenty diamond bomb and colourpop ritz are my favorite for a wet look shine! The kaja beauty bento in orange blossom the first shade was my introduction to extremely glimmery eyeshadows and I've never looked back! :)
Ooh yes to Colourpop. Koosh has been my go-to wet look shape since it’s first release. I’m so glad they made it permanent
You've got to try the Super Shock shadows "Sailor" and "Ladybird." They're even better than Ritz for a wet look, in my opinion. Especially Ladybird. In fact, Flexitarian on the lids is great for a wet look, also!
@@Khaleesi_Of_Kittens Was gonna respond with Flexitarian for the wet look as well! It works amazingly even though it doesn't really have that kind of bulletproof quality that Hannah talks about.
Does the Fenty one crease on the eyes? I have super oily eyelids so it eats makeup lol
@@Khaleesi_Of_Kittens ladybird is really gorgeous I totally agree.
You are the only makeup channel that I have continued to watch. It’s because you talk about interesting ways of looking at makeup.you’re approach is creative and unique. And it shows that you don’t need to keep buying the newest makeup constantly in order to be interesting.😊
I rarely feel that I "NEED" something while watching videos these days, but damn I need that first Kaja trio.
I ✨needed✨ her nail polish 😂
The aesthetic of this video- high quality, gold rings, gold nail polish, stone backdrop, wet look eyeshadow - is chefs kiss tbh
Kaja Bento eyeshadows are so underrated! I have many of them and they’re some of my favorites. The glitters are so shiny and the mattes are so soft and smooth.
You’re the first UA-cam channel who made me realize not only that I don’t need new makeup but just how big my collection has become. I’ve been comparing my collection to the collections I see in massive declutter videos… and I’m just a regular person.
That sparkles on your nails and your rings makes this video look really amazing.
Yes! Ive been getting into more "special" eyeshadow and i dont have any "wet look" shades yet so im excited to see which product might be the one for me
The shade called "Blissful" in the new Huda Rose Quartz Palette has a very wet look! Beauty Snippet, as always, did a fantastic job at capturing the swatch on camera.
I love the Danessa Myricks Colorfixes! My favorite is Rocket, which is an eggplant base with gold glimmer. It's so beautiful sheered out all over the lid.
Yay so excited for this! Wet looking shadows are my obsession and a staple in my collection!
I have had my eye on Space Cowboy for forever! But I am pleased to say I have a lot of these shadows already 🤩
Love you Hannah! Fab video as always!!
I love the sped up shots of you arranging makeup items on your desk. It’s so satisfying and the sound of products sliding around has an ASMR quality!
Loved the little Pat McGrath detour. Your excitement was too funny. I have that palette too, very inspirational 🤌
Yes! I didn’t know about the wet option.
I’m irritated that you’re so amazing to listen to and watch. Because I can’t afford most high-end products, I usually try to stick to watching creators that focus on drugstore. But you have me hooked! Also these are all stunning.
I loved Amanda’s video so much that I jumped on this one as soon as I saw it 😍 you two have convinced me I need Space Cowboy in my stocking
I just love Moondust. If anyone wants this look and don't have any wet-looking shadows, the Party Favor palette is a worthwhile purchase.
It’s discontinued 😕
Congrats on nearing 50k!! Not a shocker! You’re so exact👛💼🍀💍
I'm absolutely agog at the Danessa Myricks color fix. It's gorgeous! The spangles!
I've always been on the search for wet looking eyeshadows and my go to was that kaja shade you first swatched. On the eyes the sparkles catch the light and it's beautiful. I watched Amanda Z's video and added a few more wet looking shadows to my collection. And now I just added a few more to my list.
the dim/half-light swatches are game changing !!! that was so valuable to me
The swatches underneath just the ring light were mesmerising!!
This is what makeup dreams are made of 💜 beautiful eyeshadows!!
Lorac has some amazingggggggggg wet looking metalics throughout their palettes! totally underrated
I'm so here for this after I saw her do it I was like MORE!!! I just can never get enough it's such a gorgeous look
This is the video I needed in my life. Thank you so much Hannah!! Love you!! 🖤
Another must have is Astral Gold Allure found in the Iconic Illumination quad which is basically the golden champagne sister to Astral Solstice and I LIVE that Pat gave us a gold version of it too
Yeeeees, that's the one I own and even though I have the impression that that must be a bit warmer than the one in the midnight sun palette, I still use it the way I'd use this one, and im now intrigued to go try that quad i own, wet!
Thank you for this info 😀
Such beautiful shadows in your collection. I love it. I appreciate your channel because you use what you have and show your items appreciation, you're a breathe of fresh air, you're are classy in how you present yourself and your products and you are hilarious and it comes as a surprise like when your funny comes out it's very funny yet classy.
your nails and rings are just so bling 🎉🎉
Wow they are all so beautiful!!! You might really like the fenty diamond bomb highlighter in “how many carats”. It’s totally sheer and has so much shine from the teeny tiny glitters ✨
I was LITERALLY looking this up on UA-cam a few days ago!! Glad I manifested this for myself lol!! Thanks!
The light pink in that kaja trio is soooooo gorgeous I'm so glad to have it it's always a banger
The close ups at the end were so satisfying to me. I don't know why, but I loved it!
Your voice is so soothing! When I saw that you were using the same beauty bento that I adore, I knew I would love this video. So many beautiful shades that I absolutely want to go out and buy right now!
Would you consider “How Many Carats,” the highlighter from Fenty, as belonging to this list as well?? I know you just did eyeshadows, but I bought this Fenty highlighter specifically to use as an eyeshadow. Oh, also the Diamond Powder highlighter that comes in the Diamond and Blush palettes by Natasha Denona??
Love your channel girl, you keep me grounded. Since discovering you, I realize I can love makeup without over consuming. 😘❤️❤️❤️
yes, it definitely serves the purpose! I was just including things that are marketed as eyeshadow here but I use diamond bomb in the same capacity.
@@HannahLouisePoston I actually purchased how many carrots a while back on your recommendation. I use it solely for this purpose and I love it.
I have a deeper skin tone, but the Kaja Bento that I tried (surprisingly) looks great on me. My favorites is Moonwalk by Colourpop. Both are all shine with no talc, and I like that they complement my skin. I also like to layer them as well, particularly with a Becca highlighter.
this is SO good! every shade looks amazing on you!
I looooove super metallic and wet looking eyeshadows!
The urban decay moondust shadow in the shade 'cosmic' gives the same wet look that 'space cowboy' does but it has a more sheer base.
I love how well loved your collection is. 😍
loving all of the uploads! these videos are getting me through finals season
Good luck!
Yeees I've been looking forward to more overhead swatching videos from you about special types of eyeshadow shades😍😍
I added Milky Way to my Sephora cart when I was purchasing some of my short term staples and now I am so glad I did!! I can’t wait for it to arrive.
The way I GASPED when I saw the notification! I've been waiting for this video for years!!! And that's isn't hyperbole - I've been waiting since you first received the gold palette as a gift and introduced us to the magic of cava and spark!
I've watched the "My most extraordinary shadows" and "Finding the shiniest" videos over and over and over. Hannah's artful descriptions of makeup, especially these most provocative, glittery, covetable eyeshadows, are like lullabies to a lover of beautiful things, as we all are.
@@cherrybearylemondrop Yes! I've watched both of those videos so many times, they're delightfully mesmerizing
Yes! YEEEEESSSSS! This is the video I've been waiting foooorrr!!!! Havent even started it but I am PUMPED!
ooohh yes I clicked so fast!! I've watched Amanda's and Mariah Leonard's videos too. its so interesting to see what each person defines as a "wet-look" I feel like theres slight variations, e.g., Amanda placed emphasis on the base being deeper to make the mica pop, Mariah focused on it being micro-sparkles. I have a bit of a different take too, its not about the shine but more how strong the shift from "sparkly" to "nothing/clear" is and I feel like the colour has to be cool-toned or the same undertone as the skin (e.g., yellow/gold would not look wet on me when I have light olive-pink skin). Maybe I'll do a video as well of my wettest shadow in my collection :D
@@SpyderT22 Gurl that's what I thought but no after struggling with figuring out my skin undertone for awhile I've come to realize it is olive pink (theres some reddit threads with others showing how cool olive/ or olive-pink looks like). For me somedays depending on sleep/what I've eaten/amount of sun It'll lean more olive or pink but on most days when its half and half I in fact do look a little grey because they are opposites and cancel T.T. I also can tan (I do burn a bit then the burns turn into a deep tan) at which point the olive definitely takes over and its like super olivey green. But since I normally use sunscreen + hats my skin is most often a light olivey pink; where grey concealers or muted pink concealers look best (if its a more saturated cool toned pink I have to mix in some green colour corrector to make it a muted olive pink). I'd say neutral shades also would work for me bc my undertones often cancel out but "neutral" concealers/foundations tend to be peach which does not work at all. I'm thinking of trying the concealer Hannah has been loving that is a more of a light grey shade because that sounds perfect.
Ever since i discovered your videos I can not stop binge watching them.
Lovely! Thanks for all the various lighting. I want(ed) the Kaja, but the ingredients are just a bit icky. But it's SO pretty.
I love these 'secret bundle' videos! The suspense!
I could watch your wet eyeshadow videos every day and look forward to watching Amanda’s video next. I have the Kaja bento in Rosewater. I have 4 of those trios. I packed them in a makeup travel bag and forgot about them. I’m going to get them out again and search for some wet looking shades!
I think all 3 shimmers in the Dominique Latte palette look very wet and sparkly but not translucent. One is a white gold, there is a rose bronze and a pewter/olive. They are stunning!
Wow, adding water to the Pat McGrath shadows adds so many possibilities!!! I am so excited about this interesting discovery, thank you!!
I want to thank you for making me re-explore my vast eyeshadow collection. I am rethinking my palette purchases thanks to you. I have so many wet looking shadows and I got to rediscover many of them and get excited about what I already own. It’s crazy how my brain feels like 1 or 2 of the same shade range is never enough. I am pausing now. Going back to what I have and asking myself, do I need this?
Needed this today. Your overhead videos heal my soul.
Again... You put this up exactly when I needed it.
Wow that was a very interesting Swatch Party 🤩 and I even have a few of these in my collection to play with. I am excited. Thanks for the great video! Another "Wet-Look-Shadow" that came to my mind was "Water Dream" by Nabla 😁✨
This is my fave kind of video you do, I just wanna see all the wet slick looking shades 🤩
That Merit bag is so pretty!
Hi Hannah, I have been watching several,of your videos and I have really come to appreciate your absolute thoroughness and articulation of your thoughts. Also, when you talk about formulas whether they are special or run of the mill. Thank you.
One of my favourite categories of makeup too 🥰
I would love a video of your favorite bronze grungy eyeshadows ❤
Can’t wait to see you do a full eye look with that Kaja rose water palette 😍
Your first finger ring is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
These would make amazing highlighters too!! ❤
I could watch videos of shiny eyeshadows being swatched all day 😍😍
They are all very beautiful
Watching this for the second time yesterday is inspiring me to pull out all my PML special shades (maybe my kaja ones too?) to try swatching them with water. Too excited to see the result!
Hoping Sadie is feeling better!
YES the video i have been waiting for!!!
Nabla waterdream is also really nice for this!
Sooo excited for this. I’ve been thinking about buying Phytosurgence’s Fractal Frasia to try this “wet-eye look” - you’re an inspiration for why I wanted to try out this aesthetic!
Definitely think Hannah should review Phytosurgence!
Also I have fractal frasia!! It definitely is in the wet look category for me!
Fractal freesia is 💯 wet look! I’m obsessed! 10/10 recommend
I've never heard of that! Thanks for mentioning
Update: I got orchid overload since I already had a gold, wet-look shadow. It’s even more beautiful than I could have agined✨
A while back you did a video it was basically a satisfying visual experience with cosmetics would love another one
THIS was the VERY THOROUGH wet look eyeshadow review I was looking for. Thank you for this! Just subscribed!
have you ever tried these types of shadows w any mixing mediums to see how it'd affect it's aesthetics? I wonder how they affect them, would they make em even more shiny, do they become more opaque while being insanely shiny. or does it just add to longevity, or does it mess it up all together. like Duraline, or Make Up For Ever's mixing medium.
19:12 OMG, I can’t deal with the ASMR. I want to run away. Misophonia is real. Thanks for all the swatches and thorough thoughts! You are fab, as always❤
i knew in my heart, my mind, and my soul you'd love astral solstice as much as you have. kismet!
pat's astrals are the ultimate, with danessa's milky way as a base they're even better-- but her gloss on top of either is the true supreme
colourpop's ritz gets an honourable mention-- but the super shocks dry out too quickly, whereas the aforementioned are going strong on their second or third years in my collection!
This was just the video I needed in my life!
I think you will love the Nabla eyeshadow 'water dream', super wet look, completely clear glitter that is somewhat chunky. It really looks like clear gloss! Best used with glitter glue underneath instead of a regular eyeshadow base, to minimise creasing and fall out. I love your channel and how you continue to love your current make up collection and how you discovered your make up style and colour palette. It really inspired me to shop my own make up and declutter what I don't tend to gravitate towards anymore
This was so satisfying
Thank you so much for changing the lighting at the end
You reminded me about Space Cowboy, and I'm busting it out tomorrow! 😍
My favorite drugstore wetloock shadow is the physicians formula extreme shimmer shadows. They're actually pretty close to space cowboy. You get a whole palette of wet look shadows. It's rapidly becoming my favorite look😍😍
I just ordered Lisa Eldridge's new Liquid Lurex eyeshadows and out of the five shades, the lightest two, Anjelica & Bianca, look like they give the sheer wet-look that we like to achieve.
So satisfying!
I always want to have Makeup Playtime after watching Hannah have Makeup Playtime! She gets me so inspired to try new looks, and not stay in my little makeup safe space. Thank you, Hannah! Love you!
Now, If I could only figure out how to get a really grunged up wet look, or a dark, wet, and slicked -up,
grunge look. Seriously, I want an eye look that shifts colors like an oil slick, but dark, like a wet street under Vegas neon lights. Vampiric. Transformative. A little strange. But also, high end, sophisticated. An eyeshadow look that Catherine Deneuve would rock, if she actually was a vampire.
You can take the girl out of the goth scene, but you can’t take the goth, out of the girl.
The Pat McGrath Mothership 3 palette gives oil slick looks from what I’ve seen. I don’t have it but I’ve seen people use it
16:09 oh wow the pat mcgrath shade looks so good mixed with water! I'm new to my pat palette so I'm still trying to figure out how to work it. Can't wait to try the special shades with water
Which one do you have? My advice as a bit of a stan is to not overlook using any of the shades as a one-and-done - all the formulas blend out really well, and I find I get extra 💥 when I use my nyx glitter primer or inglot for the blitz shades - I also make myself use the shades that don’t initially appeal and then realise they’re actually fabulous 🖤
It's for sale in her site!!! I think 40% off??
@@kearinarmstrong6988 I got huetopian dream! I'm glad u mentioned the nyx glitter glue bc I was thinking of getting it. I'm guilty of slathering the blitz shades all over my lids bc they're so pretty hahaha but I'm excited to play around with them
@@sallypark9139 exciting! It isn’t one of the ones I have because it overlaps with too much of my existing collection but it is so beautiful - the nyx is so cheap and so handy to have around - my tube has lasted a year at this point - I grab it when i find a shade is creasing on me. I say slather away! Only one face, only one life so no point holding back ✨✨
The Fenty colorful highlights kind of give me a wet effect too. I can’t get enough of them! Especially the lavender duo. I even bought a back up of it
there is a kiko milano single eyeshadow in the number 200 ( can be used wet or dry ). it’s a bit dry on touch but it performs beautifully on the lid. with just a tiny bit of a beige pinky base (on my very fair skin) it has a ton of wet effect sparkles, and it’s pretty affordable ☺️
@@jslilimauve yes, that’s the one x)
I'm so excited for this video!!! 😭
Wow! I just discovered ur channel and I am now binge watching! I want to purchase all these eyeshadow shades....they r sooo beautiful. Blessings and Gratitude 🌹
I've got a couple for you... Sailor and Ladybird Super Shocks from Colourpop make my eyelids look super wet and I LOVE IT.
Thank you for shiny ornament-like video. Very festive.
