This video shows how I did the lower control arm in my 2006 F150. This should be the same from 2004 to about 2010 f150 model pickup trucks. This job involves a lot of work so since your taking everything apart it maybe a good time to change or inspect Wheel bearings, brakes, vacuum hub, sway bar link, upper control arm, and strut, As since you have everything apart this is a good time to change them

Thank you so much for stating right away that bushing replacement on this vehicle isn't worth it! I've been researching that issue, and it's what led me to your video. Saved me a whole bunch of time and I really appreciated it - thanks!

I replaced the bushings on one arm and had to fabricate tools and rig stuff up that was very time consuming, wasn’t worth it in the end

You should oil undercoat that bad boy to slow some of that rust!

Can you not rent a tool to press the bushing out like you can with the ball joints?

2002 f150 original owner. I did shocks first.. Had mechanic replace all of front end.. in/out tie rods, center link everything but lower arms. Fixed 80% of issues but still having something loose rattling over bumps RF tire. No phone call today for estimate, wife/secretary said it's not the wheel bearings..that he's still looking. I'm wondering what it might be..

“Put everything on loose then tighten it up” 🤦‍♂️. I tighten everything up then back track… and loosen everything up again🤷‍♂️. I need to make that a habit.

I don’t mind changing bushings. I have a press to do this. 15 minutes and you are done. I have also sanded and spray painted old arms before also.

What size tires do you have on there, im getting ready to replace my upper and lower control arms, all of my ball joints are shot, so I decided to not do just the ball joints. Anyways I'm wanting to put 33×12.5's on my 04 I already have a 2" leveling kit on it, just wondering if im gonna need back spacing for that.
