Animation-wise, this game still cannot be compared to Tekken. But I am glad that SEGA made a huge improvement in this game, some lighting effects especially, as SEGA's fan I knew SEGA could still improve this game.
Past remakes and Ultimate Showdown would be a lot awesome if Sega gave AM-2 the extra budget and work force to make a xinyiliuhequan and a piguaquan fighter.
Amazing to me that they've kept the same crappy sound effects all this time, which bear no resemblance to a human hitting another human. They've always been great games, even as far back as the blocky first one, but damn ... those hit sound effects.

@@KarlKognitiv That's why Tekken took over cause of their style to adapt over time...Tekken too is an old school game and yet it ls still played more than virtua fighter cause of their appeal to the younger audiences. Virtua fighter solely relies on nostalgia.

VF6 with actual marketing, current version of the engine, a pc release and modern sound effects (and maaaaybe a storyline) would go very hard
