This music has a sense of tragedy in it. I wonder if it's because it's meant to indicate that Anakin and Padmé are not destined to live happily ever after.
This theme is my whole childhood. I watched the prequels with my father as a kid, and later my brother when he got old enough. I cherish these movies because my dad is a fan and he always likes to tell us how he waited almost two decades between the two trilogies. We went to see Revenge of the Sith when it came out. To this day it's still my favorite.
Anakin and Padme’s story is a prime example that you can’t always trust your feelings, and that there are times where even the most powerful feelings can lead to so much damage.
Anakin's first words to padme: Are you sn angel? Anakin's last words to padme: You brought him here to kill me. Thats enough to explain how the darkside works...
more like how Anakin was manipulated to lose trust even to the person he loved the most. the dark side isn't evil as such. it's the sith that are kinda evil (depends on what you believe in life) and manipulative to get what they want - absolute power. Anakin was a Jedi through his whole life. even as Darth Vader he was still in conflict with himself. he mourned after what happened to Padme (or what HE did to her) for many, many years. and thus, he never truly embraced the dark side. he was using it for a long period of time, but never truly became a sith Palpatine wanted him to become. and love for Padme is probably one of these few things that still held Anakin on the light side for all those years, because he never forgot about her, he never stopped loving her even after her death. she was everything to him, from the first meeting, to his last moments, when he fulfilled his destiny and brought balance to the Force
The close collaboration between Williams and Lucas on the Star Wars soundtracks produced nothing short of pure magic. As amazing a composer as he is,the sequel trilogy music does not stand up to the first six films.I truely believe this has to do with the absence of Lucas and their understanding of what was needed in the formation of the music.Say what you will about Lucas, but without him Star Wars is a lifeless shell of what it should be.
This is correct. It's not enough that it's right--it is correct in every sense of the word. Without Lucas's vision guiding the soul of the music, it sounds as if it has strayed from the path it had taken before into what it did with Disney Leaning on the box office. Williams's grasp of nuance could have only been given proper support if the hand of Lucas could be felt. it was not in 7 and soon 8.
He almost carries the entire thing in his hands. If he had Lucas's hand weren't guiding him, as *s g* points out here, it would have been a much different trilogy.
More than most will give him credit for. Those with a musical ear can find clues in various songs to characters' origins. I'm still trying to figure out Rey's despite only three weeks before we get our answer.
its sad to think Anakin could have spent his entire life with padme if he hadnt turned to the dark side, he lost what he always wanted to save, he lived the rest of his days remembering her and regretting what he had done
Had he not joined the dark side she still would of died and he would of been suffering emotionally or mentally as a Jedi and they all would of sensed it and he would of been conflicted who he is and what's his true purpose.
@@Shadowpack95 You make a good point. No that I think about it, Anakin possibly killed her with the choking and the broken heart *before* she gave birth, but that's proven false when she gives names for the twins

The saddest story ever told..the tragic story of little boy from the deserts of tattooine..takins from his mother and raised to became a Jedi..peacekeepers of the galaxy..except he ended up being the most feared villain throughout the galaxy when he joined forces with SITH lord emperor palpatine..in hopes he will be be trained to stop those he loves from dying..but instead it didn’t end that way..he still lost them..his mother, his wife PADME and close friend and father figure his old master obi wan kenobi..😭😭😭😭😭😭.
It's tragic because he didn't want to do it but chose to sacrifice every Jedi even the kids in order to save his love. Which he ultimately lost because he especially tried to hard to save her
Obi -wan was the reason he lost it completely. i wish he could just come there and try to calm him and understand instead of yelling at him and blaming for everying. Anakin was already broken and yet he did care for Obi-wan he told him to stop pushing him as he didn't want to kill him. i think if Obi-wan acted as a friend and supporter he would have probably brought Anakin back to the light.
I mean Anakin killed children at this point so... Don't think you can go back after that. Obi wan was well justifyed going to destroy his former apprentice.
The way the love theme shifts to a more sinister ominous music only to then come back with this crescendo at 5:52 and finally explode into the main theme again. It is absolutely glorious!! 10/10. 😥
Whatever you think of the prequels, there's no denying that Across the Stars--along with Duel of the Fates, Padme's Ruminations, Anakin's Betrayal, and Battle of the Heroes--are some of the finest Star Wars tracks you could ever ask for. Nothing will ever hit the rarefied air of the OT soundtrack, but these tracks are damned close.
I love all the soundtracks from 1-6. AOTC is probably my favorite because it's full of very pastoral tracks and centered around this beautiful theme, so it's very easy to listen to.
Rey's theme sounds like a mix of Anakin/Padme's love theme and Darth Vader's theme and Rey's character and fighting skills feels like a mix of Anakin/Darth Vader and Padme Amidala. Rey feels like she is the main character in this new trilogy and the movie is called "The Rise of Skywalker".
This is hurting my heart. Bc I. Freaking love anakin. And he broke my heart just like he broke Obi-Wan and Padmé’s. It hurts so badly. This song, this extended mix hurts so baaaad!

The creation of the prequels was a good idea, it made us view Vader in a different way. Every Star Wars fan of the late 70's and in the 80's must have known Vader for being the cruel monster who had no feelings or mercy for others then 15-20 years later we learned that wasn't always the case. George was smart for putting the films 4,5 and 6 first, it made the Star Wars fan base curious on how Anakin’s past was like before he became that evil icon we all know today.

It’s all beautiful wdym?
Amazing work on this suite, Jorah, I can’t stop coming back to this. Keep it up!
