Oklahoma Mud Motor yep they are very capable, do feel the light weight when in a strong crosswind or behind a semi. They are still a great all arounder! The one in this video has 75,000 miles now and just did a 2000 mile trip in May
That bike sounds really good. What kinda gas mileage are you getting? My gen 1 has 63,000 and gets 45mpg. I was told I should get 250 miles out of a tank but I only hit 200?
Sounds good✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼i ve ordered the dominator p7 can for my bmw r1200 GS but think it comes with db killer welded😢 what would you think it may sounds at the end.. the finish of dominatoe is the favorite for me in that range of price , but now i dont know if it is gonna be insufficient troatty sound with medium db🤪? Regards from spain & gas!
Need to stick the DB killer bolt in the hole to stop the whistle (if u dont use db killer). I had the same issue with DL650. Try it and you will not regret it!!
So you didn’t have to crimp the existing pipe once you chopped it for the slip on to fit? Is the slip on a bit wider to accommodate the stock pipe? Also, did you have to use any exhaust sealant?
De Cont1ER no sir I just compress the forks and time the throttle to the rebound. A lot of folks say it’s bs that a slip on gives any power difference but in my mind it definitely helped
De Cont1ER I could just lift the tire but nothing like that. It may be that I’m just ok with hearing it at higher rpms now, but like I said in my mind the can truly did make a noticeable difference

David Falgout it seems irresponsible and dangerous to challenge someone to a motorcycle race when you are unaware of their riding skill or if they have proper safety gear.
Picking up my 04 v strom tomorrow definitely like your exhaust and have watched this vid 5 times lol.
You’ll love it!

Straight pipe sounded the best on video :)
I liked it too haha
Doesn't seem to be much louder without the db killer. The tone is more throaty though. Sounds good. You said $150 right?
hi, i've recently acquired a k9 dl650. i'm def considering this exhaust. but also how are you headlights soooo good. i need those bulbs in my machine.
Very bright headlights, what bulbs dis you install?
And what about fuel mods like power commander is it necesarry after exhaust changing?

Thanks! Yea it get me around 45 as well and I haven’t ran it dry so I’m not sure where that point is. I usually fill around 150-200
Nice! I paid half of that for an Amazon special and the labor for a chop shop to weld it on.

Hi what year is your DL650 V-Strom ?
Ok I read elsewhere you say 2005
When you rolled up to park it it sounded like an arrow plane
So you didn’t have to crimp the existing pipe once you chopped it for the slip on to fit? Is the slip on a bit wider to accommodate the stock pipe? Also, did you have to use any exhaust sealant?
Michael Cuellar no crimping or sealant and no issues so far!
Would any slip on exhaust for 38/51mm work like m4?
What´s the year of your v-strom born?
2005
do they make a spark arrester
a spark arrestor did not come with it. unfortunately, I am not certain if they sell one separately or not
The wheelies get a like.
Ist der Auspuff zugelassen? Hat der eine e Nummer?
Sounds great! Did you have to retune it?
Nope, runs just fine as is. Since
I didn’t change header pipe or intake it hasn’t leaned it out.
Do you clutch wheelie the bike ? I cant get mine to wheelie but i havent tried a clutch wheelie yet..

@@CameronJosephTurner awesome , I'll order one right away !
Uuaaaoooo davvero fantastica
Is it just a standard scorpion slip on end can you bought ?
It’s a Dominator exhaust. Just got the same exhaust for my 2004
Can I ask what tank bag you are using?
indodeal it is just a cheap magnetic tank bag, but I do like it a lot!
Came on the bike, if I can find a tag stating the make I’ll let you know.
Also interested to know
Does this slip on eliminate just the muffler or muffler and catalytic converter?
Nick Stewart on this model, 2005 the catalytic converters is also in the muffler can, so it was eliminated as well.
Yeah i forgot to ask, does the heatshield for the pipe also fits even when one of 3 mount is gone ? (noit the one for muffler)
John-Erik johansson yessir! I just left the one bolt out and ran it with two. No issues at all
I might finally add exhaust on my Wee. Nearly 170,000 miles I’m tired of it sounding like a sewing machine
I’ll be putting these on my Vee as well
170 000 by DL650?
