You are right, the eggs are in the 1st package. Plus a few more in Package two.
The "instant life" was not more than a marketing gag and a little magic trick.
Actually Pack 1 contains eggs and salt for the water. After 24h (it says "let it sit for 24h on the manual) the brine shrimp are hatched. They are just really tiny and hard to spot.
So here is where the magic starts! Package 2 contains not only god knows what, but a little bit of blue dye. The dye settles on the tiny shrimps and makes them easier to see.
This just looks like they magically appeared after adding package two!
Also: I like your water jug! Well.. except for the "X" on it. The rest of its lable is just perfect! :D

    • @leilei8432

Actually, the first pack contains a water purifier to create right conditions for the sea monkeys, leave it for 24 hours then you add the second pack which contains the eggs, the blue stuff I don't know what it is but its fine.

Marimo Moss Balls (algae) work well in this salinity - or at least they do in my tank for brine shrimp. Also some mosses and sturdy Anubias Nana. Very pretty to add plants and adds oxygen naturally. Plants will feed on the faeces of the shrimp.

If you Aqua make the plants over a 24-hour. It's a less of a shock and they will last and live and thrive in that, my mosses and ferns live in really low pH due to the fact that they are in black water tanks, I always have some salt in my water fresh water tanks. Every single body of water has some level of salt. Neat lil gift I hope she loved it.

Wow, actual Pyrex! Corning sold the company, and while European iterations have continued making actual Pyrex (borosilicate,) World Kitchen, in the U.S., manufactures a cheaper product, that is actually less temperature shock resistant than regular glass. I learned that the hard way, while making yogurt, and a cold bath caused a warmed milk and yogurt slurry to shatter. I was fortunately only grazed by the shrapnel, yet others have been less fortunate. Even taking it out of the oven, and exposing it to a room temperature atmosphere can cause it to explode. People have been grievously injured, with slashed arteries, and have gone to the E.R..
Unfortunately, in America, the laws are designed, not to protect individuals from corporations, but the opposite. If you see a Pyrex vessel with capitol letters, it is real. If it features all lowercase, it is a, tragically legal, counterfeit.

Super glue was first invented with war in mind if I am correct....it was used to seal up wounds instantly.... Super glue dries instantly when coming into contact with water...so it should nor be toxic...in war times it was just spread over big wounds even opened stomach.... I hope I used the right words...English is not my first language =)
I mean I do not know how it turned out yet...but to much plants are maybe bad...brine shrimp are filter feeders... So they feed on small algae... If there are to much plants that use up all the nutrines, there may be no more for small algea for the brine shrimp =)

There is a problem with the "original salinity" from just the sea monkeys packets. You were right when you said it should be higher. The instructions said 12 oz of water you added it to 64 oz instead. It would have been 5x higher. I'm interested to see how the shrimo hatched/survived.

14 for the tank, and how much more for gravel, filter, conditioners, etc. Plus the actual fish. 5 bucks at walmart and you have the complete set up for basic seamonkey keeping. And you can even top off the water to compensate for evaporation if you don't over feed them.

I’m not completely sure the supper glue is safe, but if you want, you can get a string and tie down the roots to the rock, and after a wile, once the roots have attached themselves, you can take off the string. Just a suggestion, I’m sure the plant will be fine. Keep up the good work.

Brine shrimp are disgusting. I live in utah and they are the only thing that can live in the great salt lake. Walking the beaches there is nothing but small exoskeleton. And the smell of rotten eggs is terrible.
