I know the tutorial is one year old but I want to say thank you so much for taken time to do it. I am new to your channel and I will be ordering some of your patterns. I love your style. Great explanations! ❤
Nicely done. The half scale works well. Just a suggestion... hang the skirt up for a day or two before sewing the hem, to let any distortion ( more likely when cutting on the bias ) fall out.
I just found this Amazing Woman through Cal Patch. I love this skirt but I truly need to know if there is a pattern for Soften's dress. I absolutley adore it so much. Thank you for your kind help and time in advance. xoxoxo
I’m having trouble working out which size to make. My hips measure 115cm which takes me to size 18 which looks awfully big. My waist measures 87cm. Should I grade the sizes. Thank you
I have quite a heavy midweight woven linen, so can I miss the french seam step, and simply overlock the front and back pieces before sewing together instead?
Yes! You can absolutely just overlock the seams instead of the french seams. Just take note of the 1.5cm seam allowances on the side seams so it fits the waistband😊

This skirt is so lovely, although I have a rather big bottom and with the front and back panels the same I'm not sure it will work for me?

Thank you! I used my Rue Blouse pattern as a base to create the dress I am wearing :)
This is awesome thank you! Do you have to cut on the bias? Is it an aesthetic or functional thing?

Love this skirt! Looks like only A4 on your site…can it be printed in the letter format? Thanks
If you never got an answer/don't have the pattern yet, yes, it prints in A4 and US letter pdf. 28 pages.
@@dianner5148 thank you so much!😊

Your sewing machine only does a straight stitch, correct? With what machine are you demonstrating the manual zig-zag button hole?
Yes, that is correct. I have my kept my first sewing machine for anytime I need a zigzag or button hole which is the Janome My Excel 18W ❤
