I have exactly this motorcycle. And I'm totally happy with it. I previously had a 690 Enduro and in 2019 the 790 ADV. R. All without any problems. This one is finally how I wanted it to be from the beginning. It looks better now, the windshield is finally usable, the chassis is just right and I don't need to adjust anything anymore, the consumption is very low at around 4.8l per 100 km and the low center of gravity + low seat height makes it very accessible off-road. I only made a few visual changes and use a shorter gear ratio. The engine problems of the first 790 generation should no longer be an issue. The same engine (says my workshop master) no longer causes any problems in the CF Moto 800 models either.
I want this bike , tried the 890 was way too high and heavy. Cam shaft issues are rectified and if you get the dealer to do your services you get an extra two yrs added warranty. I love kTm😁.
I'm buying a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and plan to cut my teeth on it this coming year 2025. We'll see if the cam shaft issues go away by end of next year or by 2026 just in time for me to 'upgrade' with more skills and experience. Right now, I'm just not convinced I won't have issues before 20k. I'll be keeping an eye on you, KTM.
@@SasquatchBenwa literally 2 min of searching and you could have your answer. Yes, you have a demo mode. Yes, the quick shifter and rally mode and cruise control turn off after 1,500 miles if you don't pay for them.
Probably the same problem now. Many with norden 901 have the same problem now. There is a FB group that only deals with this. I would have bought a KTM right away if only they had gotten their quality problems sorted out.

I've a 2019 790 Adventure which is just shy of 20k miles and everything was ok when it had the valve service done 500 miles ago. Don't believe everything you read or see on the internet.
Here’s the problem, adventure where? If machine has a problem of some sort, you will have to truck it to the closest service center. Too complicated. Long live DRZ 400 and Klx 650!
If you really wanted to help people make an informed decision, go get a used one with 10000 miles on it and check the valves and cams. That would be a good informative video.
KTM loses money's from this dump Idea of extra charge for electronics Example: they charge 1000$ on extras Lets say they get 50% sells from the solds bike So they get 500$ from each bike If they sold the bike with 500$ more with all the package is the same thing And still would be a good price KTM idiot marketing
I'm in Canada and I got the Tech Pack, which includes the Rally Pack, for free just by showing up at the motorcycle show in March and registering for the free voucher. Plus, if I take the bike to the dealer for maintenance, KTM adds 2 more years to the warranty for a total of 4 years. This bike priced out identically this year to my 2021 T7 that I got in August 2020, including the E-options.
When did the dollar sign get moved to the end of a price? Are we going to start putting periods at the beginning of sentences next? Oh, wait, you don't use them.

So what happens after 1000 miles? Do all the nannies just go away or?

What do you mean only for the first 1000 miles all the electronics are enabled? You have to pay extra to "keep" them? Are you fking kidding me?
Certain aids that are optional on most bikes. Most stuff is not turned off - most modes, abs, traction, imu etc.
This model has upgraded cylinder head with bigger oil holes
No cam issues with this bike🤔
Hope that's true. I don't think KTM has said that.
I’ve had a 890 Adv, loved it, but sold it because KTM warranty is real crap!
What about camshafts?

I know KTM's can be problematic, but my 2019 790R has been trouble free for over 32k miles. Cheers

I think it's a lubrication problem.
