Even before watching this, what I knew of Mundi led me to believe that Anakin would fall faster and deeper into the Dark Side.
Yeah, someone even made a joke that if Anakin had openly married Padme, Mundi would've given his full support and said, "I myself have 5 wives, but I'd glad let them and all of my children die if it was the will of the force"
The saddest thing about this What if is that it literally could have happened since the Council actually put him with this sociopath for a while while Obi-wan was MIA. *Truly they paved the way for their own destruction at nearly every turn.*
I do disagree with Yoda dying to clones though, I mean the guy fought off and almost beat an amped Palpatine while being de-powered, and moved a Force mountain after learning to use it in a different way. Epic way to show a tragedy _WORSE_ than the original Prequels and Clone Wars, congrats!
Facts
What if anakin didn’t go to mustafar? For this What if he stayed longer at the Jedi temple and ran into yoda and obi when they came back to the temple.
So what happens is that he gets arrested because he can’t take both of them

A strong story, and a very compelling, balanced one. However, I disagree on some components of Ki-Adi-Mundi's character. He is an extreme example of Detatched Jedi philosophy, and so dangerously deep in the lightside of the Force that he's very out-of-touch with people and society.
Mundi is an classic example of "good cannot comprehend evil." And a figure totally absorbed in the righteousness of their side and their beliefs that they cannot comprehend any way they or their side can be wrong or make a mistake; a fanatic.
On the other hand, however, he literally has a different mind/brain than other people and could actually be a lot like Canon-Anakin SKywalker.
1) Cerean's like Mundi have a binary-brain, 2 in one body. This allow them to have complex thoughts or compartmentalize and process topics cognitively very different from single-brain creatures. Heck, if Cerean's get distracted or surprise, the same binary-brain lead them to fall apart; like 2 people with their hands on the same controller, one steers left and the other hits stop.
With an extra mind in his head and a singular-focus to avoid distractions or losing composure, Mundi would could experience emotions and mentally process them very differently from other people.
2) Mundi could be pragmatic and go against the Jedi Code. Prior r to the Clone Wars he discovered one of his daughters were enslaved and sold to Jabba the Hutt. Mundi personally got involved to rescue his daughter, by finding a criminal linked to the slaver, then applied the Jedi Mind-trick to invoke fear and outright claim "You will say their name." This kind of action could be sociopathic and manipulative, yet Mundi was aware the criminal could be released without charges from an overt use of Jedi telepathic powers and certainly was not a dethatched or emotionless response.
3)Mundi had his own Padawan, A'sharad Hett, whom was a Tuskin Raider in his teens when Mundi found him. yet he brought him to the Temple and trained him while Anakin was a Padawan; so he wasn't totally closed-minded.
4) Mundi advocated for Anakin multiple times, questioning why the Jedi were holding him back at all instead of taking more active measures; especially during the Clone Wars.
5) Mundi was one of the first individuals on the Jedi Council to deduce how Count Dooku was only the Sith Apprentice to the same Master whom engineered the Naboo Crisis. He saw through Dooku's "lie with the truth" message to Obi-Wan Kenobi, and most Jedi discounted how Dooku would join any person connected with Qui-Gon Jinn's death.
6) He tried repeatedly to have a son with his own family; due to Cerean birth-rates and the need for genetic diversity. He did care for his family and fellow Jedi as well, from his reaction to seeing Shaak Ti and Aayla Secura's conditions during the Hypori excavation. yes, he was single-minded towards pursuing Grevious, but after taking a moment to think he agreed to retreat and stayed right beside both Jedi.
I don't think Mundi as a master would be as negative an impact on Anakin; at least with his Legends Continuity appearances. Personally, I do not imagine Legends-Mundi would have agreed with expelling Ashoka Tano from the Jedi Order for the same reasons he refused to think Dooku would commit murder.
U left one thing, Mundi also didnt thinl of clones as people but as tools.
Plo Khun would have been the best Jedi Master to train Anakin.
Plo would be a father figure to Anakin he would treat Anakin like a Son and he wouldnt feel shy of telling him about his marriage and his wifes pregnancy and at Anaxes would not only approve Clone Force 99s mission to recover Echo on Skako Minor but help lead the assualt and would difuse tension between Crosshair and Rex when Crosshair talks shit about Echo

Poor Ani; Mundi celebrated when his wives died nor did he hesitated when it came to sacrificing his men. He was toxic and worse than Obi-Wan, even Windu, and Yoda.

Well to be fair obi wan sacrifices another Jedi without a second thought, in a comic I forget which one but I know Anakin and obi both knew it was likely a suicide mission they sent her on.

Ki-Adi-Mundi would understand Anakins marriage to Padme because he had 5 wives and would help him through his Marriage and the Birth of his twins but Palps would fear he would lose his prized student with Mundi as Anakins master

One of the more creative "what if" channels that I've stumbled across. I agree with most of this. No contrived deus ex machina vis a vis the Force, no sudden sensations or force visions, and, best of all, no random "and then Qui Gon's ghost came back and set them straight!" Well done. One thing I would say, is that I think all timelines have to follow the prophecy. Anakin is the Chosen One, and will always destroy the Sith. Whether it be as a paragon of light, through his own fall as a master of darkness, or through some accident. Other than that, nice man.
I really appreciate this, I really try my best to avoid insane plot changes that avoid effecting characters I or anyone else likes. Everyone is on equal playing field. Though I agree with the Chosen One destroying the Sith, writing it into every story kinda gets restrictive, so I always want to find a new way for everything to come to a conclusion. Thank you again!

What if palpatine started to care for anakin like a son
He(Darth Sidious/Palpatine), Did in a Sense in the Prequels He was the Mentor figure for Anakin would Confide in about his Displeasure & Palpatine aside from Qui-Gon was the only one(With a Motive of Course) Who Treated Anakin like a Human being whereas the Jedi criticized him with him expressing his emotions & Anger not helping him finding a healthy way to express it they are a Majority % why Anakin turned out the way he did Especially that Hardass Windu.
Then Vader in a more powerfull suit given to him by Palpatine would remain in good odds with him. He would try to recruit both Luke and Leia with Palpatine being their Godfather. Vader would eventually have to destroy Palpatine or the Sith in general (including himself) after seeing how much suffering he cause to The gallexy, Padme & Obi-wan hating him and the sheer amount of guilt (Thus fulfilling the prophecy)
This was a great story!! Every character felt like their canon self and this felt like a realistic potential story

this was pretty good. but to be fair, I honestly thought that ki-adi mundi would have been more supportive for Anakin especially helping him to marry padme with the council's consent since mundi was the only jedi who had a wife and children. besides that, it's still good. 😎👍

edit: The CIS winning with Dooku and Griveous in command is probably a much better fate than the galaxy got in the original; The CIS was legitimately a good thing for many systems, Dooku and Griveous were generally perceived as good rulers by their people...

Yeah........ I don't think this ending of Anakin ''is da way''. I'm pretty sure Anakin's anger, rage, depression, and anxiety subconsciously. Would be at a boiling point at the time of Ki Adi's death. Which are all pathways to the dark side realistically. After Dooku kills Ki Adi. I'm pretty sure all those subconscious emotions, including happiness would flare up in relief. At seeing Ki Adi dead. Dooku would sense it guaranteed. And he would sense Anakin's potential to be a Sith Lord. With all that emotional baggage let out. Like air from a balloon if only briefly for a moment. Nooo, Dooku would try to take him as his Apprentice. But he would do it differently than Palpy did. He would entice him with ''true freedom''. Like a mansion on Dooku's home world, free food, access to beautiful women. "Free advice'' on the force. Basically, free everything to ''help Anakin heal'' from his abuse. Dooku would treat him not like a son. But like a long lost ''Grandson''. I think Anakin would fall for it hook line and sinker. Dooku was a very wealthy man, due to his family and family connections at least according to ''Legends'' anyway. So unlike Palpy and his short game method. That he had to play in Episode 3. Dooku could/would play the long game with Anakin. Due to his mass wealth. Or Dooku would kill Anakin with Sith Lightning if he wouldn't turn. Or he would have tortured him with Sith lightning until he turned. And he would still have ''free everything'' basically. But Anakin's Sith training would have started a lot sooner the tortured way.
That sure was bleak
I don't like that anakin was fated to die off in obscurity in this scenario. He got a bad deal at every turn in this scenario because of Mundi's indifference and apathy.
Can't lie, I was kind of hoping anakin would kill Ki-adi mundi at least. However, I'm happy with dooku finally getting his retirement plan.
