The quote that Anakin said, "I wish I could make you understand, but I'm not going back. Nothing can make me change my mind." was the exact quote that Luke said to R2 in The Last Jedi.
They were basically three confused spectacles about star wars-ish things, I even really liked some scenes and ideas but they just wandered around in circles and deus ex machina with a bunch of flashy fake feeling effects. I liked the cast too, they were not the problem at all.
Never forget, Anakin and Padme swapped droids as a wedding gift to each other. That droid is, in a roundabout way, a sort of marital symbol for the Skywalkers.
And it was a good way to redeem himself from the massacre he did even if he did survive its almost impossible to redeem yourself after killing thousands including children.
Anakin fulfilled his purpose of bringing balance to the Force, and kept his promises to his Mum and Padme; he didn't fail again. He learnt how to save Padme, and Luke and Leia would grow up knowing that their father freed the galaxy from two of the greatest evils in thousands of years, also killing three powerful Sith Lords. Giving his life to do it so they could live safe and happy lives. That's the Anakin we were expecting him to be at the end of A New Hope!
Finally a story with, sad but happy ending.. Anakin Skywalker died but redeeming himself in the end, and Padme was forced to abandon the man she loved, so his sacrifice won't be in vain.. She lived with her children full filling a prophecy, that there would be balance to the force....
At least he died a hero, someone who Obi Wan can tell stories of to make his children proud, even if he cant forgive him Anakin did save the order, with or without him the clones would have annihilated the temple in Order 66
This story was well written, albeit somewhat depressing at the end. Nicely done my friend. I had no idea which direction you would take it, it kept me on the edge of my seat. It was nice to see R2 play a role in the story as well.

R2D2 is metaphorically equivalent to a K9 gsd or Malinois, alive and intelligent, but in particularly needed for it's above human abilities. In Star Wars it's astromech stuff, navigation, repair, rerouting, and analysis not detection, tracking and security but the allegory seemed clear to me. Of course R2D2 might have been perfect in approaching him because of that kind of relationship. R2 saw that and was sad and worried about his master without any judgment or reproach, the exact thing that hadn't been tried by others.

Agreed with everything. The only part that I disagree is that I strongly believe that Anakin should survive the clones attack at the final part. No matter how many clones the chosen should be powerful enough to take out most of them or even survive at least.
For a future what if, say after so much sacrifice in the wars the Jedi do something they wouldn't have consider before. They keep one or two Jedi in a position close to Palpatine. If the Sith Lord were to be revealed or some other circumstance demanded it, they would put an end to the Chancellors reign. Therefore removing a key player from the Sith. They understand going in that they were sacrificial lambs sent to save the Republic, and if discovered would be declared to be rogue Jedi by the Order. Or something like that.

did....did he just do halo reach's lone wolf mission in starwars? loved the story normally i dont these kind of endings but it was really good keep up the good work. also hearing the latter half of the episode my mind went directly to the last missions of halo reach, specially with his ending.
I feel like the shuttle appearing so early was an extreme stretch. Palpatine had no reason to move up his time line in this and get to Mustafar earlier
I love how Anakin dies. Honestly I think Anakin shouldn't get a redemption without either dying or losing someone he loves. He needs to have consequences for his actions like this one had him face.

When he was rebuilt as a partial cyborg, Aniken died & Darth Vader was born. One person, two separate people in one body. Still, when he saved Luke from Palptine, he turned back to the light side of the force & I think that’s why he got to come back as a force ghost. May the force be with all of us,ALWAYS!!!
Darth Vader was born way before that. Darth Vader was a seed that was planted the moment that he met the Jedi. Darth Vader represents all of Anakin's pain and anger.

I'm also fairly sure their weapons outrange the LAATs, meaning they could have fired upon the incoming before they ever got into range. So, from my perspective, the Tantive has a range, firepower, and defensive capability edge over all ten of those LAATs, which are transport gunships meant to engage unprotected ground forces and ferry troops around. It would be like ten Blackhawks armed with hellfire missile pods attacking a guided missile destroyer. Yeah, they could do some damage, but the destroyer would knock them all out of the sky in the process and would still largely be functional when the fight is over.
