  • Lights on or off in the campground??? It's a hot debate! We do enjoy a little bit of light at night in our site, but we never want to offend our neighbors. Using LEDs for soft, diffused light is a great solution! In this video, we show you how to easily install some cheap LEDs to your RV underbelly. The LEDs aren't bright enough to bother our neighbors, and they add just enough light to give us the perks. We enjoy the benefits of our LEDs, like how they make it a bit easier to see around the campsite when it's dark, keeping pests at bay, and even making our site look more festive during celebrations.

Definitely want to get these on our new rig. I am looking into spending a few more bucks to make them more secure but I love the dusk til dawn sensor you put in. We love the glow and think it makes a great deal of sense to keep the critters away. Pack rats in the desert area will tear up your stuff if you don't have lights so we are thinking seriously about getting some soon.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Pat

Thank you! I wanted to see how well the cheap sets would work and they're still going strong. I did lose one section where the chunk of tire hit and I can't get the same kit to replace them. I'm going to go a little higher end on my next set so I can have some fun with the lights. I'll be sure to do a new install video on them, and yes they absolutely keep the critters at bay!

Thanks for the video! Cody got the ‘bug’ after the rally and wants some. So this helps!

Being at a rally makes us want to do more mods and projects each year 🤣It's a great place to get ideas because you can literally SEE a rig just like yours with the "thing" already done so you know how it will work/look already! We appreciate you watching and commenting and supporting us-thank you 😁

    Love the underglow!
Different kinds of rv'ers these days. We have been rv'in for ages. Used to be, folks would have party lights, decorations around their campsites. Looked nice and was fun to see...
These days, places we go, when sun sets, it's lights out... pitch black in the woods. People go inside and boom, dark.
Well... not us. I used to run strings of orange mini lights around profile of rv on the ground, but in heavy rains it would trip gfi and lights would go out.
Few years back I put led amber 12v marker lights on brkts and mounted them up under rv so all you see is the light they throw on the ground. Do not see the lights themselves.
Puts a nice warm glow under and outwards from bottom of rv. Helps light up steps coming out of camper, and can see the ground walking around camper.
Every other camper's sites are pitch black, oh well that's them.
In no way would these lights be shining in somebodies eyes or projecting onto their sites, but I am sure there are people that hate us for having them. Oh well... I love em.
And, leds so next to no draw on the battery...
