Btw, the "oily" finish on the legendary Sparks, and probably even on the silenced Winfield, looks like the IRL "case hardened" finish, often put on firearms from this this era. To my understanding, this process was used mainly for, well, hardening the metal. Look it up, many of these firearms with this finish look SUPER nice.
Pick a free hunter. Equip all the contraband that prevents you from unequipping it from your quickplay hunter, then proceed to rearrange your inventory and then deal with the free hunter later. Literally just use them as storage. You’re welcome!

I wanna point out that during the dev stream we were told that saved loadouts were very very high up on their list, so if could hazard a guess it would probably be the next feature patch after 1.5 As for this patch, I love it! may antidote shots forever be silenced! (honestly at this point they might as well move the effect to mithradist and get rid of antidote shots completely, or just remove mithradist, that also works...)
True, like I feel it was way too OP but now will totally sucks and be useless, mostly for no more protecting you over the hives. So what's the difference now versus weak and full antidote??? If it's just 30min vs 60min then it's kinda dumb as 30 is plenty enough already. I would rather have a weak one protect against less things but still be 30min for both.

Agreed on the quality of life changes, they're really great. Although I wish they made more progress on customizable loadout profiles (or presets) :). all in all I'm super excited to play this patch.
I can see the concertina bomb being used as cc. Just something to block off entrances/exits, or prevent enemies from running a certain direction during a fight. Plus there's always the chance of getting that kill
Musket referrs to a rifle with a long barrel, 'long' being somewhat relative to similar rifles with shorter barrels. Winchester used the term to referr specifically to rifles with a barrel length of 36 inches or more, which they presented as a customization option when ordering a rifle from their catalogue back in the day.
The improved extraction distribution is really nice and needed. It completely deflated you when you'd go for a Bounty and have all the extractions on the opposite side of the map. You'd Kill/Banish but not take the bounty because you'd have a target on you for longer trying to traverse the map towards an extraction. Also encourages running the gauntlet more as well if you have better choices for extractions.
I've always used the carbine a bunch (my most used weapon), since its great for a gun that requires 0 traits. But there are plenty of more versatile guns once you get perks. It definitely needed a cost buff though. Crytek heading 100% in the right direction, these tweaks and QoL changes are great. Just a shame the West Europe test servers are always half empty and seem to have so many people running only avtomats, nitros and dolches after the first day :D not entirely realistic testing scenarios often, maybe $50,000 is a bit too much.
For health chunk that'd be cool to add mini roaming bosses that have shorter banishes, that way people can have their wendigo in the game. That way you get PVE/PVP in a bulk
@@PsychoghostGaming perhaps with the mini boss idea, instead of taking them to the extract point you have to take their token somewhere on the interior of the map to destroy for your reward.

That thing with the adrenalin shoot seems really good. maybe it comes with an increasement of the sway, depending on the power duration of the shot. simulates the high adrenalin in the body. or upgrade the stamina shot, so it will be played more often
I love the ideas you suggested, Adrenaline sounds like a good way to balance a fight, though I wonder how that may turn out if someone stacks em. A few ideas I am wanting to share Weapons -Pietta 1858 Revolver A black powder revolver with a removable cylinder. Instead of having to single load your shots, emptying the cylinder lets you reload a whole new one in its place for a faster reload. Maybe medium ammo with more recoil (compared to the pax) or muzzle flash due to the blackpowder? -Combination Shotgun Double barrel varient (or standalone) that is a three barreled shotgun, but the third barrel is a medium or weaker long ammo shot. Almost a reversed LeMatt. This would give the double barrel a bit more versatility since all I really see are Romeros and Spectres in fights. Treeby Chain Rifle Springfield varient. I rarely ever see springfields and I admittedly love the rifle even if it isnt that good compared to others. The Treeby rifle was a chain fed rifle, so it'd be a faster firing (though maybe slower muzzle velocity or less damage) Springfield rifle. Consumables -Placed Charge a dynamite bundle with no fuse you can place or throw into a location and shoot or chain with an alert trap to detonate. Like the dynamite charge in Sniper Elite for people who want to create ambushes.

Another plus with all these exploration rewards is that it gives something to do to players looking for something fresh rather than collecting bounties, and motivates them to take risks by staying longer in compounds, hurrying up to find anything they can, and shooting/running around Meatheads. Also maks them thing twice about staying in a losing game. Not a huge fan of the extraction distribution thing, though. It was how it was, some randomness is fine. Allowed for some alternate tactics, and everyone was in the same boat anyway when it happened. Not everything has to be clear cut and perfectly "balanced". I also don't think we need another way to get chunks back, it's in a good place right now, but the adrenaline shot idea isn't bad at all.

That adrenaline shot sounds sick. Give you your health chunks back for a limited time sounds like a must. Would be nice if it also gave you a small speed boost too
Do you have any reworked hunter builds planned? Like tank build or healer build or some video about creating teams that have a little more synergy on how they can work to compliment one another.
That adrenaline shot idea is really good, especially if the duration is short. I like the idea of giving players more options to push aggressively. I don’t even think it would be OP because there is already fanning, levering and shotguns that can stop people who push at you.
this is a huge patch. It s great crytek carry on putting so much work into this. i mean most of us bought the game like two years ago... and we are getting strong new content every 6/7 weeks now. This patch bring a lot to the game, even without new boss or map ... so this is kind of amazing. This also tells us, what the boss and map could bring .. thanks mike for this review.
So excited for this. Hive bombs have become leathal with pitcher again 👏👏 I like the adrenaline shot idea, would be cool and fit well into the lore of the game

Neenoh found one blueprint I think, these are very rare. Weapon oil I think is the best addition because I don't like my guns covered in chocolate :P To the Ghoul changes: I think they also might have changed it to encourage ppl to like big health chuncks a bit more, because they heal completely with the new ghoul and from my experience most players or (no offense) newer players prefer small chunks because you can die more often. Also just for the information: I think the new Winnie is called Musket bayonet because its a classical muskets ring-bayonet attached to it :) also the Winfield "C" stands for Winfield "carbine". A carbine is basically a shortened rifle or compact rifle.
Imagine if you got legendary skins for consumables, Big Dynamite bundle is a big wrapped present skin, and when it explodes instead of a big dust cloud its a snowy blizzard

before the patch, I was being pushed by 3 guys and I threw a concertina bomb at them, trapping 2 against it and a wall. that's 2 down... but he survived got me. my other 2 team members finished him off. the thing is, we didn't know I killed the other 2 heh...
That adrenaline’s shot sounds good. 1 min, insta health restore slowly dwindles down, stronger melee damage, run faster by a little, no stamina loss. Fatigued for like 30-45 seconds after. That would make strategic play important cause being fatigued for that long makes dealing with PVE deadly and hinders PVP
For the dogtag idea, i think they should make a cannibal perk where you could eat 2 dead players ang get a chunk back. A bit similar to original ghoul.

About your dogtag mechanic regarding restoring destroyed health chunks.. what about a tourniquet tool/consumable that cost a hefty amount of hunt dollars and took a good amount of time to use and brings back a bar but doesn’t restore the health? They were invented in the 1600s so it would fit into the timeline without breaking immersion :D
in terms of actual weapons and not variants, the last time we ever got brand new weapons was the springfield and martini released in the same update. How different would new singles and bolts even be? We don't need more velocity as the lebel is probably as fast as it will ever go, and I doubt anyone would pick a low velocity bolt action, keeping in mind that the damage difference would be like 2 or 3 points. They could perhaps do a compact or medium bolt action, but that just sounds weird. My bet is that they will continue with weapons that look or operate differently in comparison to others simply because without a quirk, most new weapons would be almost reskins of existing weapons.

Nice job psycho! These videos are very nice because you have a strong sense on the gameplay. I think the regain HP thing is good but having it bound to pvp would probably mean the end of people learning the game 😄 the game still needs more engaging pve elements and rewards for those who play the game not just pvp Hunters. I say bind it to an "albino" version of a random AI hidden on the map and while "extracting" the soul make the map strike a lighting and play a sound that everyone on the map can hear. You might even have other loot or collectables for a journal hidden in that fashion. Thanks for the hard work. We'll meet in the bayou.
I found two skill point envelopes in one compound, it was great. Died the next match. I feel like ghoul should drop down to 4 or 5, as it's not gonna be useful in combat and only really helps as a medkit saver, like the medkits in the world. Even then, you still have to be smart about it and not get horded. The bonus fact that it doesn't stop bleeding or fire feels like it would be fair at 4 or 5 points.

It's called the Winfield Musket Bayonet because it has a muskets bayonet on it, not because it functions like a musket.
The bayonet is not the reason. The reason is how they named guns back in the days.

Another plus with all these exploration rewards is that it gives something to do to players looking for something fresh rather than collecting bounties, and motivates them to take risks by staying longer in compounds, hurrying up to find anything they can, and shooting/running around Meatheads. Also maks them thing twice about staying in a losing game.
Not a huge fan of the extraction distribution thing, though. It was how it was, some randomness is fine. Allowed for some alternate tactics, and everyone was in the same boat anyway when it happened. Not everything has to be clear cut and perfectly "balanced". I also don't think we need another way to get chunks back, it's in a good place right now, but the adrenaline shot idea isn't bad at all.

Do you have any reworked hunter builds planned? Like tank build or healer build or some video about creating teams that have a little more synergy on how they can work to compliment one another.
You can build loadout synergies. But hunter "builds" are ... well, sniper, stealth, stuff like that is possible :)
That adrenaline shot idea is really good, especially if the duration is short.
I like the idea of giving players more options to push aggressively.
I don’t even think it would be OP because there is already fanning, levering and shotguns that can stop people who push at you.

this is a huge patch. It s great crytek carry on putting so much work into this.
i mean most of us bought the game like two years ago... and we are getting strong new content every 6/7 weeks now.
This patch bring a lot to the game, even without new boss or map ... so this is kind of amazing.

Neenoh found one blueprint I think, these are very rare. Weapon oil I think is the best addition because I don't like my guns covered in chocolate :P To the Ghoul changes: I think they also might have changed it to encourage ppl to like big health chuncks a bit more, because they heal completely with the new ghoul and from my experience most players or (no offense) newer players prefer small chunks because you can die more often. Also just for the information: I think the new Winnie is called Musket bayonet because its a classical muskets ring-bayonet attached to it :) also the Winfield "C" stands for Winfield "carbine". A carbine is basically a shortened rifle or compact rifle.

before the patch, I was being pushed by 3 guys and I threw a concertina bomb at them, trapping 2 against it and a wall. that's 2 down... but he survived got me. my other 2 team members finished him off. the thing is, we didn't know I killed the other 2 heh...

That adrenaline’s shot sounds good. 1 min, insta health restore slowly dwindles down, stronger melee damage, run faster by a little, no stamina loss. Fatigued for like 30-45 seconds after. That would make strategic play important cause being fatigued for that long makes dealing with PVE deadly and hinders PVP

For the dogtag idea, i think they should make a cannibal perk where you could eat 2 dead players ang get a chunk back. A bit similar to original ghoul.

Hey mike! About your dogtag mechanic regarding restoring destroyed health chunks.. what about a tourniquet tool/consumable that cost a hefty amount of hunt dollars and took a good amount of time to use and brings back a bar but doesn’t restore the health? They were invented in the 1600s so it would fit into the timeline without breaking immersion :D

Your idea of a new shot is a really good idea imo
When was the last time we got a new bolt action/1 shot rifle ?
in terms of actual weapons and not variants, the last time we ever got brand new weapons was the springfield and martini released in the same update. How different would new singles and bolts even be? We don't need more velocity as the lebel is probably as fast as it will ever go, and I doubt anyone would pick a low velocity bolt action, keeping in mind that the damage difference would be like 2 or 3 points. They could perhaps do a compact or medium bolt action, but that just sounds weird. My bet is that they will continue with weapons that look or operate differently in comparison to others simply because without a quirk, most new weapons would be almost reskins of existing weapons.

Nice job psycho! These videos are very nice because you have a strong sense on the gameplay. I think the regain HP thing is good but having it bound to pvp would probably mean the end of people learning the game 😄 the game still needs more engaging pve elements and rewards for those who play the game not just pvp Hunters.
I say bind it to an "albino" version of a random AI hidden on the map and while "extracting" the soul make the map strike a lighting and play a sound that everyone on the map can hear. You might even have other loot or collectables for a journal hidden in that fashion.

Aren't the ammo boxes in the old towers already out? I found one in a match the other day, but then I play PS4.
They can spawn, but now there is even better loot chance :D
I found two skill point envelopes in one compound, it was great. Died the next match.
I feel like ghoul should drop down to 4 or 5, as it's not gonna be useful in combat and only really helps as a medkit saver, like the medkits in the world. Even then, you still have to be smart about it and not get horded. The bonus fact that it doesn't stop bleeding or fire feels like it would be fair at 4 or 5 points.

I think because almost nobody used them. Explosives are still the strongest consumable in the game.
@@PsychoghostGaming I would agree with that. I think smaller throwable concertina grenade would be cool or a sticky variant of it. I am excited for these changes. I may run the deadeye officer carbine with bornheim match now. All that compact and speed ;-)
