Me (GSTAR321) doing a live commentary and playthrough of 'Street Fighter Alpha 2'. I play as Ryu.
This is my second favourite Street Fighter game; my favourite being Street Fighter 3 : 3rd Strike.
Street Fighter Alpha 2 is a great fighting game that still holds up to this day. It may not have parries like 3rd Strike, but it makes up for it with it's 'Alpha Counters'; making fights very technical.

what is comical about Adon is that he's the archetypal tough guy on paper who wants to challenge everybody according to in-game dialogues and per the plot always gets his ass kicked.
Mark Ganus he was my favourite character in this game though. It sucks that the modern games don't have him in the roster

Storyline wise, akuma didnt lose. He just wanted to test ryu and even then, akuma won
DatShadyGuy Late as fuck but Akuma was testing Ryu because he wanted to see him use the Satsui no Hado which is the power Akuma has.
Ryu didn't use it so the fight was easy for Akuma, and Akuma wanted to fight Ryu again after he tapped into the Satsui no Hado and got stronger.
He blew up the island to shake off Ryu??? I'm still unclear on that part though.
@Mississippi Mike he blew up his island in mk shaolin monks, which I’m not sure if it’s canon or not, but the usual story for it is that Shang tsung died, and the island died with him, it was empty and wasn’t worth a damn without him. So it just rot to death.

Best Capcom intro ever. You knew the game was gonna be epic. I remember that booting up before Resident Evil 1 first time , and the dark experience ahead.

Fun vid, just remember that when you are doing specials, lights have much less recovery time than the heavy versions do. That's why your Dragon Punches got punished so much.

I love alpha series. SFA2 is cool but SFA3 is also good because has way more characters and modes.
Ryu didn't seem mad at all in the pre-dialogue with Akuma. If I didn't know any better, I would've thought that they were old buddies with each other.
The analog sticks make a big difference I have the alpha anthology for ps2 and the every alpha game downloaded on my PS3 on the ps2 version you can use the sticks but on the PS3 you can't I know exactly how you feel not being able to get the right combo out but great vid man keep it up
Love the colourful interfaces and jazzy techno music of the SFA1 and SFA2 games. SFA3 is a great game of course, but I was never keen on that game's music, lol.
The A-Groove in Capcom Vs SNK 2 does the custom super thing as well

Charlie was actually Guile's best Army Buddy who was killed by the hands of M.Bison. Which is why Guile took part in the World Tournament for a chance to get vengeance for his fallen comrade in Street Fighter 2 (SNES)

MrGSTAR321 Just a heads up if you lose to bison once just once its an automatic game over in the arcade version. Console versions don't have this issue.

When it comes to crossovers marvel vs capcom 1 is the best. Gstar will you do a playthrough of that? One epic game!

After a while of playing, the game will start glitching/cheating. I remember I was playing as Ryu against Dahlsim. Dahlsim did a special move on me, and I was blocking. I still had 2/3 health, but somehow his special took it ALL away. >:-( I discontinued playing the game as of that point.
Also, I believe Charlie is who Bison kills in the Street Fighter 2V series, and who becomes Blanka in the Street Fighter (live action) movie.

Odd I played alpha 2 on the hardest difficulty and I found that game easy,but playing alpha 3 is harder compared to Alpha 2 what the fuck.

On the SNES version of Street Fighter Alpha 2, you need to get 1st place in Arcade Score Ranking and enter initials KAJ and on the 2nd controller hold L X Y and Start on the Character select screen to unlock Shin Akuma

I'm not super familiar with Street Fighter aside from the one I had on PSP. But I don't see you pulling off any combos in terms of, like, the combos in MK. Are there just not plug-in combos in SF?

Yea, I think Alpha 3 is a bit more complex to play, and the speed is amped up heaps aswell. It also changed the way you do Supers and Alpha Counters etc ... I still like it though, and I will do a playthrough of it.
***** I think thats one of the main reasons why I personally prefer it, the speed. A2 feels so slow after getting used to A3 for so long. Plus I think the sheer amount of characters gives it much more replay value. I look forward to your playthrough for it, Evil Ryu would make for an awesome runthrough, especially given who the end boss is for him :P
