I researched all of the cars in this class. #1. C-HR #2. C-X3 and #3. HRV were my top picks until I found the Hyundai Kona. A white Hyundai Kona Limited is the car I finally purchased two weeks ago and I'm loving the car!!! I must be one of the first on the road here in Dallas. More car, similar tech, solid build, tight ride, dual clutch 7 speed transmission (NO CVT thank goodness!), fast (especially switching from normal to sport mode, it's like getting 2 cars in one) and great styling all for less 💰💰 with a better warrantee. The only thing I see when driving are heads turning and traffic in my rearview mirror!!!
Best review so far. Very excited to pick mine up. I also loved the little pointer hand you used. I chuckled a little after the first couple of times you used it haha.

I just test drove the SEL version with the Tech Package -- I need power seats and sunroof!!! I'll wait for the 2019 MY because much of the Ultimate bells and whistles are going to be included with the Tech Package and I don't really need a Turbo or leather seats, but the extra safety functions will help. As far as the blind spots in the back, you can remove the rear seat headrests which will help.
I think I like it... must see in person and drive to make a real judgment. $22,250. not bad in todays market. The black cladding is a little much and would take some getting use to. Sporty looking little Bugger !
I'm considering this car, I like the AWD gets ok MPG inexpensive good value... but not sure I want all the cheap hard plastic surfaces, even on the limited and ultimate trim levels.

I got questions though. How many pedals are in the Kona? 2 or 3? And do u change the gears just like that or theres a clutch with it so like is there a clutch pedal for that?

Those are daytime led running lights( if you're referring to those narrow light underneath the hood),plus you buy a car for other reasons other than the way the headlight looks. This car has some cool options for its price point. I think It'll do well in this segment.

Hyundai made a Nissan Juke. Best to buy a Subaru Crosstrek if you want a vehicle in this class. The Crosstrek is proven to be the best and Subaru doesn't have to copy anyones stupid looking and failed styling.
I'm not a fan of the Cherokee look, and I don't think Jeep is either since the facelifted car actually moved away from the non-standard headlights to a more traditional look for 2018.
Hyundai made a great car, but the interior is ugly as hell!! this car should have come with a CD player, instead it didn't... The middle console on this car is completely useless ! what were they thinking?

I'm sure that when this gets most of the options and AWD it'll be close to $30k and still have a lot of hard touch plastics which as you pointed out will clean up nicely but scratch very easily and looks like hell after about 8 months of even light use. On another note I kinda like the styling - don't know if enough to buy one but it's not _that_ ugly...
