Who is the next artist we should interview?
I request Shannon Jae Ridout please!
@@seejessicacode never heard of her. I'll have to check her out!
@@SongwriterReacts Shannon Ridout is the widow of Nicholas Ridout, Benjamin Tod’s best friend who took his own life. He covers a lot of Nicholas’ songs. Shannon also does music and it’s really good. As for the question, you know I’m throwing Drayton Farley out there, and since you’re going to see him with Arlo this November, I’ve got some high hopes for it actually being a possibility now.
@@chadyoder4041 I'm looking forward to meeting him here in Jackson in November. I'd love to interview him!
Charley Crockett
Long post warning!
I had to work during the livestream, but I FINALLY got to watch it tonight and it did not disappoint! Such a fan of you guys reactions and the Americana Addicts page on Facebook. Don't get me started on Arlo Mckinley! I've turned SO many of my friends on to his music. I saw a dude with an "Arlo made me cry" hat and I've looked everywhere for one and had no luck. His song "Ghost of My Best Friend" hit me on a very personal level. I stumbled across it on youtube and it was my first Arlo song and it had me ugly crying in my truck on the way home from work one night. I lost my best friend to an overdose in 2009 and back in the day we both were wild as bucks, but he couldn't shake it. A couple of years after he passed I had the most real dream that he and I were hanging out like old times and near the end of the dream he was like "I have to go now" and seemed upset, I laughed and told him that I'd see him later and he said "There ain't gonna be a next time" and I woke up. This song literally gave me closure from losing my buddy and the whole dream experience. Keep doing what yall are doing and Arlo...you are the man!
Arlos right. What your doing is incredibly important. Well done lads. Great interview. He’s a cool dude.
Such an honest and raw interview. Great job Burt and Chuck. One of the coolest things I’ve been a part of in a long time. Arlo is such a humble guy. Hopefully this is the first of many, many interviews to come!
Cool dude. Enjoyed the questions. I give it a 9/10, lose a point for disrespecting Texas.. lol!
Haha fair enough! Thanks for the encouragement and he's the man!
As a former Texas resident and lover of The Lonestar State, "Tell him Keath!"
Love the honesty. I hope Arlo can stay clean. His talent is on another level.
Well then, keep playing brother! You & Prine just speak so honestly - to music.... I fkn love it
Sooo dang amazing. Loved how open and honest he was and how much he seemed to genuinely enjoy our group and what we are about!
He is one of us for sure!
This is gold! So happy for both parties…. Arlo is da shit ❤️
Glad you posted this here missed the live stream.

As an ex wife of a major musician in a group that is just insane… please know that we, as significant others, just want you to be successful in all aspects of life. I get it. I really do. It’s almost impossible. I always say “if you’re over 40 and you’re still employed and your kids are ok, it’s probably cause you are sober.” The outlets are limitless. Partying is the expected one.. obviously. Like you said, “everyone wants their story”. I promise, you are the one who influences! I wish I could SCREAM this to every artist. You set the tone for the micro environment you want to be a part of. Factor this, factor that obviously.. you can’t control what’s going on outside a certain area.. but if you’re really doing the work, you can create the force field you need. It’s your job. If someone doesn’t want to wear the hard hat, they gotta go. Good luck! Love finding this!
Very powerful comment Melissa. Thank you so much for this!
