This is just perfect in every way... The girl that spent every waking moment teasing you and making advances, cracks completely when it turns out it actually worked! She is the human equvalent of a dog chasing a car, but wouldn't know what to do with it if it actually caught it!
She somehow seemed more mature throughout the events of this game, probably because she was in the middle of preparing Mille Mirage whereas it was just a back-up throughout the events of CSIII
while I didn't romance her, I do feel awful for what she has to go through.. Imagine having the weight of coming up with something like Mille Mirage, where thousands possibly millions of lives will be taken. And at just 16 years old.

It's true that at the beginning she used Rean for her own purposes, but in the end she grew up and took out the "normal girl" style that was within her. every time I'm watching this bond event I really feel jealous because I want to be Rean and hug her the way he does. Since the moment when she asked "who is the like lady" I'd like to interrupt her and say something like "damn it!! It's you the lucky lady. YOU and only YOU, not Alisa, not Juna, not everyone else but YOU. Is it clear?".
I know just how you feel . Even from the very beginning of Tocs 3 before knowing the names of the new class Musse's voice and words of affection for Rean got my attention and i couldn't wait to know more about her.
If anyone remembers from Yugioh the scene where Kaiba shows his card, only for Yugi to clap back with a card to Kaiba's surprise, that was Musse's final bonding event in a nutshell

After a couple hours getting all each bonding trophies I chose her. Other than she's the best, don't forget she's the one who brought our best teams together!!!
Looking at how Musse was classing herself as a rotten girl in the final bonding event, that wasn't true. Even though she was initially using him as a pawn, the fact that she stood by Class VII and ditched her "Lady Mildine" identity proved that she did have loyalty towards the group. Even though this meant pitting her against "Mille Mirage", she still stood by her allies during that time. The only 2 things she did which were foolish were the 2 times she planned her suicide - the first on the Pantagruel, and carrying the orbal pistol on her in case things got...out of hand Still, she got what she predicted. Only difference, they weren't tears of sorrow
I went with Emma on my first playthrough tho that's because I always go Emma first playthrough on each cold Steel I'm playing through entire series right now purposely avoiding the romantic endings of cold Steel 2 because canonly rean is single in cold Steel 3 and I'm going for musse when I reach 4
I think this is my favorite, I mean Altina's was great too, not for the romance bit, but for her to finally accept herself fully was a great scene. Still think Musse became one of my favorite characters. (I really wish they didn't try to trow Alisa down your throat at any given oppertunity in the main story, glad they finally stopped doing that in CS4)
Yeah it's annoying. Japan has a habit of strongly pushing you in a certain direction even in games where we are supposed to be choosing our own romantic interests. Still, while the dev team doing the equivalent of constantly nudging us and saying "please pick Alisa" can get old they at least didn't force us to actually pick Alisa. Nothing frustrates me more than being presented with a choice in a game, only to find out that a canon choice has already been determined and the decision I made isn't even really being considered.

I didn't care for her at first, but this smart, sexy and classy duchess really won me over I have sort of the same headcanon about her that I do about Crow, where him saying that his laid back persona he showed to Class VII was just a lie is actually because he believes he doesn't deserve that kind of life. Mildine believes she serves a greater purpose, and tries to deny that at heart she is just a normal girl, trying to shoulder all that burden herself with a smile and a cheeky remark. Juna somewhat gets through to her when they reunite in Act I, but not until this moment do we see the facade come crashing down as she faces all her feelings, that while she may be a remarkable genius who holds the fate of the world in her hand, she's also a regular girl who likes tea and clothes and of course, her instructor. And God damn is it adorable
Honestly, musse grew on me plus she was killer on the field. But, it didn't change the fact that she was younger and most importantly his student. I just didn't feel right having a relationship like that. So I stuck with best waifus. Laura, Emma, or sara
I had this support(because Musse deserved what she wanted all the time) and I was positively surprised how erotical it became. I'm curious if the other supports are similar as that although I don't hope for several characters like Alitna.

Although the ending bond event was really emotional, I was disappointed with how it ended considering it’s musse and she literally kissed him out of nowhere in the bonding event before the last one. So, why couldnt she have that it there?

tell you the truth I would have been fine with just having one girl and they focus more on reans developement I wanted to see him reach the levels of la guin at some point this game left me hanging in that department. hopefully in future installments we find out he has but I am not holding my breath on that. also kinda wish rean was a little more cocky and not being humble all the time and downplaying his achievements that shit got annoying.
Well it's called legend of heroes for a reason you know. You can't exactly embody the spirit of a hero if you're arrogant. And rean's entire shtick is being disciplined and straight-laced so being cocky would contradict his character.
