Darling, after working in antivenom off & on for 10 years, I can tell you that snakes only flash for food or defense. They don't want to waste energy on you if you aren't a real threat. HOWEVER, they have space issues just like humans do. If you invade their space, they see it as a threat. They are also wary of another animal/human towering over them, because some birds attack snakes. The rule we were taught is the "rule of half". A 6 foot snake has 3 feet of flash range. A 10 foot snake has 5 feet of range. They can hiss all day long, but if you are out of range, you're safe. Knowing the body language will tell you the snake's mood. If you just sit & watch, the snake will usually calm back down... Sometimes it takes about 10 minutes, lmao... 🤷 It isn't very hard, but some people get bit because of stupidity 🙄🤦♂️🙄... OR they didn't know a snake was even there... 🤷🤔
Same and so far it isn't working. I've still got goose bumps and the video ended about 5 minutes ago. Just the thought of snakes makes the goose bumps come back😂
Bryan I have come to the realization that your jobs are as much as capture/relocation specialist as much as educators/ counselors. You are all very enthusiastic about your calling but the calmness that you all show your clients is remarkable. Getting excited does no ones blood pressure any good.
Hi Bryan, Your videos are helping me become less afraid of snakes. Learning that they are defensive creatures, not aggressive, was a big help for me. Thank you.
Hearing that makes my day, seriously. This is what we are hoping for and when people tell us they no longer fear snakes as they have their entire lives, it makes it all worth it.
As a lifelong amateur Herper, I love the respect and handling of the reptiles by your people. They respect the danger, educate the clients, and do not hot dog like MANY other people handling snakes on UA-cam. I have been catching venomous snakes in Florida, California, and Texas for most of my life and truly understand the challenges and respect the training of your team.
I love this channel! Im a new subscriber and all I knew about rattlesnakes was from my boyscout days which turns out to be 50% not true. Go figure. Anyway, love what you are doing. Ive found a new appreciation for these animals and their importance in the ecosystem.
Being a native Floridian, I've come across my fair share of snakes. I've always tried to tell people to leave them alone and please don't kill them. Thank you so much for what you all do out there in the heat, 24/7. Conservation is so important to not only the snake, but to us as well. Take care out there :)
Really great work here Bryan, Nick and Marissa. Thanks for bringing this information to as many people as possible. The snakes have a right to exist and deserve a chance to do so. The lovers on the patio were particularly adorable....
My favorite part of your channel is the care you take with capture and relocation. We've learned a lot by watching (and even bought the snake grabber tools we see you use so we can nicely move the rattlers and bull snakes around our place!) Also, last year I did encounter a pair of mating rattlers and moved them along (while also keeping them together). Thank you for setting such a good example!
Y'all are such awesome people!! Love how you educate people about the snakes as well as finding the snakes a new home. Such a huge fan of everything y'all do.
Been terrified of snakes my entire life but with content this good it’s getting better. I couldn’t even look at them in a book. Now I can watch them here and a wee bit at a time it’s not so bad. I live in southern Alberta and my neighbour said he hadn’t seen a snake until I had said I was a bit fearful. Thanks for making them seem “natural” which they are but not to anyone who’s afraid.
Love Y'all and how kind you are to the animals you rescue because it IS a rescue. People used to just torture them and chop them up. Good work, champs!!! 🙂🙃🙂
Watching from the Netherlands, where we don't have rattlesnakes. Love the series. Hope you guys will get a lot of calls, for me that's a sign less snakes will be killed.
I've been mountain biking and hiking in Colorado the past 23 years and admittedly have had some fear around stepping on a rattlesnake or having one strike me from the side of the trail. I've come across about a dozen over the years, mostly what I believe to be prairie rattlesnakes. I appreciate your videos which have helped me come to understand their defensive behavior. Thank you.
Really great information you guys put out....Thank you very much.....still deathly affraid of snakes, i know they won't attack me, i know they won't crawl (slither) towards me but i have much more respect for these wonderful creatures....Again Thank you for all you do.
How do you get paid? Is there a visit charge or something? Do you travel to Vistancia in Peoria AZ? I love that you relocate the snakes. I live in a brand new area at the base of the mountains. We have "all the things" wild mules, cows, bobcats, mountain lions, and rattlesnakes.
Another great video. Your videos are enjoyable, but also informative. Seeing how so many of these houses have snake habitat as their landscaping, there is no way I am moving to Arizona, LOL I would be to worried all the time of having an encounter and I would rather avoid that.
I live in Florida, I know we have rattlesnakes down here, I have never seen one in the wild. I keep looking-eventually I'll see one, and I'll respect its space, and let it alone. It will go on its way, and I'll go on mine-best scenario for everybody.
This video brought up an interesting question for me. At what age are kids typically smart enough to tell the difference between a rattlesnake and something like a gopher snake? Obviously it's going to vary from kid to kid, but I'm generally curious about how you guys deal with that issue in your educational programs.
What do you feed your desert tortoise? Ours will only eat romaine lettuce. We've tried every other type of lettuce, kale, mustard greens, etc and she will not eat them. We are desperate for a substitute when we cannot find romaine. BTW- she won't eat fruit either.
I just realized; clearly you're related to Data (from Star Trek TNG). The tell is your use of "What is" as opposed to 'what's"; that's been bugging me for the last year or so. Hey! You know what that means? You no longer need to worry about using a snake stick! ;-) ps. You should've left a couple of cigarettes when you released the mating snakes.
After watching your channel, I have a true different perspective of rattlesnakes! Still don't like them, but they're not the predators lore makes them sound like!
It's to bad that real estate agents and home builders don't tell clients the importance of keeping their yard free of ground clutter. It would be a win,win scenario for everything,,, except maybe for the videos you make 😉🐍
Don't they try to bite you? Now, me i have a huge fear of snake. Yes, seeing one good chance of pissing myself. Lived in Nevada and diamond backs there are mean very mean. But, i respect them 1000%. They cleared out an area and rodents overran the area in no time.
There’s some context in that part of the video that is missing in the edit. The parents asked specifically that they not touch the snake. Everyone is at their own levels of comfortability with snakes, and it’s good to take what we can get and not push to where it’s an unpleasant experience.
In watching these videos, the people ware in need of these services, usually make a nice little habit for the snakes by piling up rocks, having a lot of yard clutter, and not weatherstripping their houses properly. I use to live in both Phoenix and Tucson . Kept vegetation trimmed up off the ground kept bushes trimmed up so that I could see underneath them. Kept kids toys put up and never outside. If you create a nice shady place for them to hide in or under , they will come, and then you need Rattlesnake Solutions to come and remove them.
I'm from Germany and i do'nt know why i'm so obsessed with rattlesnakes.... but i love them, they're so adorable 😍😍😍
I'm trying to get over my fear of snakes with your videos..😅 ❤ thank you
Seriously!!!! Same for me! It’s working!
Rattler was playing “catch me if you can” 😂

I Watch to see Marissa’s enthusiasm and ❤for snakes 🐍
"let make them fall in love with you" is the unofficial mission statement of Rattlesnake Solutions. Love watching you guys
Yes!!
The ground snake call was awesome
Love the way Marissa talks to every snake she catches.
Ah that was an interesting one with the 2 snakes mating ! Yikes!

The Queen of Specks with another great find for the season!!
Always makes me happy to see new uploads!

Love the education you and your staff pass on about these animals.

Nick: "It's not likely that they dug the holes." Fair assessment.
Awesome video!! And Brian hit the nail on the head at the end. Knowledge is key to living with these animals and not being afraid.
So glad you keep snakes safe and educate people about them
Thanks!

I am impressed with your mission. Thanks for educating us.
Beautiful videography, & so many snakes. 💕 Love on the patio. Thank you to the RSS team for the education & service you offer.

Thanks for helping people " like me " mentally not be terrified of snakes ❤

What awesome recoveries! Nick sure kept busy in Tuscon!
I have always been afraid of snakes. This channel gives me a whole new perspective on these awesome creatures. Very well done videos! Thank you!
Sadly, we don't get many rattlesnakes over here in Switzerland, in fact, I've yet to see one

Like the way Marissa calls them Dude or Bud.
Now Nick's in Tucson? Man, it'd be cool if you guys did ride-alongs. :) 🌵

Isn’t it fun to talk to the snakes like they can hear us? Who knows, maybe they can! I talk to my mountain garter all the time……❤️🐍
Awesome thumbnail!
Where is the full story on the toilet coach whip!?!? Cant wait

you have probably covered this topic before but my wife would like to know if there is any way to tell the age of rattlesnakes. thanks for the vids
I would definitely hold him 😁 so cute

How much does a snake removal cost? Just curious..

As someone who's considering on moving to Arizona. Is it really that common to have snakes come inside your house?
Your videos made me realize rattlesnakes are not pests and can coexist with humans.
After watching your channel, I have a true different perspective of rattlesnakes! Still don't like them, but they're not the predators lore makes them sound like!
Have you ever grabbed a venemous snake by mistake (thinking it was a non-venemous snake)?
🤠👍👍
The thought of a rattle snake crawling into my house just makes me cringe.
Couldn't agree more! I had had encounters with snakes in the wild so many times during my life, but can't imagine finding one in my house.
It makes me happy

Bring that gopher snake to MY HOUSE!!! They eat over 2000 mice and rats in their lives.
Love this but a bit taken back by telling the kids not to touch the gopher snake, harmless more education not don't touch.
