Shawn Gaskill yeah it’s possible, it’s known as an irrational time signature. it’s a measure made out of 13 septuplets. to give you an example of how this could work, let’s use 4/3 since it’s more simple. usually you’d be in some rational time, let’s say 4/4, and you’d modulate to an irrational for a bar. playing a measure of 4/3 would be a rhythm at the same speed as a triplet, but instead of three hits, there are four. adam neely and david bruce both have amazing videos on this.

Totally beyond words, this man is heroically amazing, must have been playing since he was 6 months old. Phenomenal technique, yet beautifully musical and lyrical, a mix of Chopin, Scott Joplin, Rachmaninov, Emerson, Mussorgsky etc. Totally in love with this guys playing!!! 💕❤️😀😀😀😀😀
This gent has unholy musical integrity- as a composer and performer. Someone who inspires yet remains humble. If any of you havent seen DT...you are missing out! It should be a MUST on any musicians bucketlist.
The fact that he "presses" an invisible pedal besides the sustain tells a lot of the muscle memory he has developed over hundreds if not thousands of hours practicing this song.
I just stumbled on this video of Jordan playing Dance of Eternity solo. This man is on a different level than any musician that I have encountered. We are at the precense of a Grand Master...

What do I call this man? Wizard or anything else..can't get words fellas,,😁 I am also a keyboardist.. but tried many times a Jordan... But sadly it ended up with paranoia.,🤔

he truly mastered his instrument
yeah no shit
Jordan has to be one of the best musicians to ever exist on this planet. It's amazing a human is capable of playing like this.
i want to know what songs he's playing.
@@Ihavetruth22 it's literally in the title
2:24 is my songs favorite part. This was the reason I became interested to dream theater
agreed, same here!
Fells like the same, love this kind of honky tonk piano and neoclassical shit
twinkle twinkle little star in 11/16 at ~2mins , i died LOL

Ya . You right
Lol he make me crack lol🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i thought it's mozart's allegretto, do do sol sol la la sol fa fa me me re re do
I found this comment as he started playing it lmao
I think it’s cool that he just stuck with a normal piano sound the whole time without using different patches like usual, nice change of pace
He's a classically trained pianist so I imagine a lot of his time has been spent with this sound
In my opinion he's the greatest talent to ever touch the keyboard.
Agree 😆😆
Mozart and shuman Beethoven heller were
Cory Henry is also up there if we go out of the rock\metal genre

The fact that he played this at 129 bpm, (the exact same tempo as the original) without the need of a drummer is scary
Actually this is loaded with tempo changes, just for fun so it seems :) the start is quite a bit faster than the original
@@EelcoRegressiveHypnosis there are some parts where in the original song, the keyboard part stops, so I think Jordan accounted rightly for that with the tempo changes
He played for 6:15 , the original song is 6:13. how is that even possible

its called tempo memory
You can hear Keith Emerson in his playing, fantastic! Such an extreme talent this man is.
I literally was about to comment this!
3:24 John Myung: *Am I a joke to you?*
I wish I had one tenth of one percent of this man's talent.
And he plays guitar also. Ah, and he got his signature guitar. Lol
If I had that I could be so good at piano. Good thing I play gutiar better
so .1%
Maybe you should try practicing. You'll get there.
Less about talent and more about practicing. You got this!
Guy starts clapping at 3:28 and realises he's made a terrible mistake
Claps fade in the darkness,lol
Bruh
He only clapped the 4/4 section
He only know 4/4 clap, funny tho,go explore another beat bro
Nice Porcupine Tree background. Deadwing 🤘🏼

When he started doing a syncopted rythm over the clapping i died XD

Hearing this isolated from the other instruments, I’m totally getting Zelda boss battle vibes! 😍
This solo version is maybe even more impressive than the whole band playing!
Agreed! ❤
