Do you know why hardly any live bands do Boston. Covers? Well obviously nobody can sing most of the songs. I mean they could. But wouldn't do justice. Brad Delp is " THE MAN I'LL NEVER BE " will always listen for your voice Brad. You and Boston have inspired my music since I was 7 years old, and 45 years later I still feel like that same little boy every time I hear Boston. And to Tom, and all the members that have kept Boston alive. Thank you for the Best music there is . Please keep it coming
My band used to do Long Time. Our drummer, Leah, sang the lead, while the rest of us did the backing vocals, with me singing the highest parts. When we were a 4 piece, I just played bass. When we were a trio, I did the bass on keyboard with my left hand, and the organ parts with my right, and still sang the high parts. We rocked.
The hallmark of a great guitar intro is that everybody knows what song is coming. When Tom starts the acoustic intro, the crowd goes nuts. Great intro, one of the best in rock music IMHO.
Echo that bought both first two albums on vinyl but only recently revisited … aside from radio listening. When you really analyze the production, playing, and then pinch yourself to remind you that the original album is 47 years young.. awesome all round albums
Same age as you brother, and still loving it too man. I even have some 8 tracks that I play when I drive around with the windows down in the summer. Still have my '69 Chevelle that I had in highschool. Left the old 8 track in just because. Still works good. Blows kid's minds when they see it.

I've been an avid fan since I first heard " Don't Look back'. Saw them live in Charleston, WV in the 70s. For me, Tom Sholtz IS Boston. The other members are great and play his songs amazingly well however Tom is the heart and soul of the band and my guitar hero. His leads move me more than any I've ever heard. Keep rockin Boston.
I’m 62, my first 8 track tape was Boston! Till this day still in my top three of Rock Bands. Wish I had a DVD of this concert, this was a great performance! Gone to soon……
Okay, tragically no Brad Delp and I admit, I approached this clip with some dread. But it's friggin great. Tommy is a superb singer in his own right and the band sounds fantastic. Ok so only one original member but how many other bands can recreate their old material this well? Great stuff, rock on!
@@barryjames9404 Lexington lab is incredible and do what they do out of love and respect for the bands they cover. This is live and really beautifully done. Great post! Boston is still phenomenal! All guitar preamps, power amps and bass amps, effects etc., brought to you by scholz Research and Development-lots of blue on that stage 😀
i heard "More Than A Feeling" on a small radio station in Gasden Al. on a sunny morning going to work in July 1976-BOOM!! never been the same-i knew it was going to be big/ the rest is history
I still remember when I first heard Boston, it was in the basement of a friend’s house in the summer of 1976. I was mesmerized by the guitar melodies and Brad Delp’s voice, the number one debut album of all times in my humble opinion!
Tom S a clever man,Pioneer of Boston,He created and wrote the first music More Than a Feeling and with the golden voice of Brad Delp, the Band became Famous
It's funny...I'm NOT really a hard rock kinda guy, however Boston was the first one I bought when I had an 8-track in my Grand Prix. Got the cassette, later the CD, and now have it on my phone. Two days ago was the first time I had ever seen what they look like. After doing a bit of reading I'm impressed even more especially with Tom Scholtz.
There is only ONE original Boston band member on stage , Tom Schulz. This isn't the actual band Boston. It's a collection of musicians playing Boston's music with it's founder Tom Schulz. Although I must say they are VERY GOOD at recreating the original sound. VERY GOOD! Well done.
