2. press 74 (for country code)

hi, since i changed the motherboard, i obtain already this message : cannot detect the toner, put the toner cartridge back in. any idea ?
Thank you for the video. How did you determine the board was your problem? Mine is a mess. It cannot connect to wifi, won't recognize USB cable, after setup, it keeps saying 'receiving data' and resetting to factory, doesn't do a thing. Have attempted to reinstall multiple times via wifi, USB, but it won't work. I was thinking motherboard. Do you think motherboard replacement might be the solutions? Thanks

my l2700dw will not create an ssid and wifi direct will not work either. Do you think my wifi is brocken on the board? I updates the firmware and it did not fix it. The usb did break off the mainboard but I don't think that should effect the wifi.
Maybe, the mainboard is defective.
Thank you for the great video! After the borad replacement, I uploaded the firmware and it was successful, the firmware upload made t possible to print again! I do have one problem, the LCD shows "Maintenance", I entered "99" to exit the maintenace mode, but the printer restarted itself after entering the code and is still showing "Maintenance" and the lights in front are flashing! How am I going to fix this?! Thank you in advance!

@@macor285 Thank you, I am not trying to change the country code! I just want to know why after the replacing the main baord and uploading the firmware, the printer is printing, but it shows "Maintenance" on the LCD and the 3 lights in front are flashing! Entering "99" makes the printer reboot, but the issue stays unresolved! Thanks!
I have a Dell E515DW that I bricked while trying to update the firmware. Now the lights flash briefly when I plug it in but does nothing else. It's made by Brother. I'm wonder if it has the same main board? Or if there's another way to unbrick? The printer is like new. I shouldn't have risked updating.
The main board are different. Try to connect your printer again and if it connected then try to update again.

@@macor285 Thanks. I've tried that already. I was trying to update the September 2020 firmware over the wifi network but wasn't paying close attention when I bricked it. I tried for several hours to fix it. Including trying to use Brother's maintenance bootloader. But the printer is unresponsive. Windows 10 sees a USB composite device but not a printer. I wonder if the firmware is stored on one of those 8 pin chips or one of the microcontrollers?

@@macor285I can't find a main board for this model. Dell told me they don't have one. They wouldn't even give me a part number. That's why I was asking if a Brother main board could be used?

Not a good sign. Try to upgrade/update the firmware.
@@macor285 I experienced the same thing. The power button can no longer be pressed at all. Only 3 lights on all. Should I replace the mainboard? If I have to replace, where should I buy it?

No need to enter the serial number. Just enter the country code if the motherboard is new. If you want to know the procedure how to enter the serial number just download the service manual of the machine. But I replaced new board I did not enter the serial number.

@@macor285 regards! It does not respond after it goes to sleep mode. I have to disconnect it from the wall outlet, and connect it only when it will be used.

I have a DCP 2540 that always say "receiving data". I have tried factory resetting and reinstalling drivers. The printer still copies but wont print.
Try installing pcl6 driver if still wont print, try postscript(ps driver). If still not printing update the firmware.
@@macor285 when I try to update the firmware either through firmware install tool or online interface I get a connection error. The printer can make copies just not print from the computer or print a test page.

The printer is not responding anymore. I bought the new board here in oman from bishara company.
@@macor285 I installed a new main board on my copier - however one the duplex page is completely dark - Do you have a procedure to fix this, I updated the firmware, the issues persist.

It did not display error code. The printer is not responding anymore. I tried to reset the printer and update the firmware but it is not responding anymore. Just troubleshoot deeper before purchasing the mainboard maybe there is a faulty parts need to replace.

Yes ist has a thing like this... but I only saw it on Foto. So I don’t know if it is battery or goldCap. It is located on mainboard!

Kha se le brother printer ka board mere bhi kharab ho gya hai data supply se hi power supply kr dya hai ak ne. Mera printer New hai ab kuch respond nhi de rha hai

Where to buy the parts from
I ordered in Bishara company in Oman.
How did you take the side panel off?
There are screws at the back and in front then pull the cover from bottom cover.
On 2710W (probably the same) open rear panel you will see 1 screw top right. Open toner panel on front and there are 2 "nubs" holding the plastic on. Leaving the toner panel open lift plastic over top circular nub and bottom square nub. The plastic will slide downwards and come off.
