Currently running light warp build. Its very expensive but i think i can still provide my own shared experience. My build is originally based off of lexyu old videos but i ended up making my own modifications to it after realiazing how spongy i was. Energy shield is a must in high density breaches and higher tier maps. This can be easily achieved through the azure amulet. Grim feast is also great to have but will cost you a pretty penny ( since necklace is azure, will need 60 spirit from armor piece and 30 from helm implicit, assuming also rocking some sort of cast on setup). Im glad that i wasnt the only one who also feels like our build suffers from stuns. I think one thing that really helped me with that was putting on the "unbreakable"support gem onto ball lightning (will require a perfect jewelers/ last socket). It provides 200% increased stun threshold so long as that skill is in use. With that in mind, my general modus operandi is that there MUST be at least one ball lightning on my screen at all times. That serves two functions: 1) gives stun threshold boost, 2) provides me with an attack window should i need to lightning warp. Currently i am level 98 and reached top 1000 in standard league leaderboard. Grinding the ladder has also taught me alot about our class's weaknesses. Maps to avoid or pay closer attention to: any with increased stun buildup or monster speed modifier (will increase mortality rate, recommend stun charm). During breaches, be VERY conscious of your surrounding. Elevations in terrain and small obstacles will impede your ball lightning. Also, as soon as you see that breach mob with a purple circle around it come onto your screen, you need to either kill it immediately or incappacitate it(electorcute or freeze). That thing can shoot fast moving purple projectiles from very far range and hits like a truck (will stun if hit from it). I get one shot from it even with 3 layers of protection (6k es, 5k mana,1.3k life). One last note. As you mentioned, lightning warp forces you to get right up and personal with the enemy since you tp right into them. However you dont nessecairly need to wait for the balls to arrive near the enemy. In fact, i always warp to my lightning balls when they are no more than half a computer screen away from my character. There is no need to get up close to the enemy when skill points are already allocated into increasing aoe. Another big cause of death comes from not knowing what you are jumping into. By keeping all incoming mobs within your line of vision ( rather than having yourself appear right infront of them all of a sudden) you have more foresight into what youre in for.

I started doing that subconsciously when I feel the area is kinda dangerous xD Yeah, avoiding certain maps and map modifiers was something I had to learn. I was not a PoE1 veteran so I only learned it now The Unbreakable tip is amazing! I did not even know it existed. I used Arcane Barrier on Ball Lightning but I think Unbreakable is much better
Give it another go! I honestly think it's a fun build, despite its flaws. Besides, the gear and skill tree for Spark and Lightning Warp are so similar anyway, I don't think it costs that much to try it out again!
I just got a new wand that had way more spell damage and much better critical strike chance on it but I lost cast speed and I find myself dying a lot more now. My biggest cause of death for lightning warp is how slow the attack is. Waiting for ball lightning to get out then teleporting to it. Most attacks with other classes happen the instant you hit the button. I think I need to go back into cast speed and maybe even acceleration on the ball lightning. I’m lvl 91 and only really do t15s. I can usually 2-3shot bosses. Getting surrounded or caught up on the environment are the biggest killers for me.
Good points. Been playing lightning warp as well but using cast on crit. Do u have a build guide? I cant seem to have my cast on shock to proc much thats why i went with crit. Thanks
My build is kinda the mainstream Lightning Warp. There're tonnes out there so I didn't think of making one, but I could come up with something brief. I used CoShock at first as well, but realized it was completely useless against bosses, so I changed to CoCrit now, and it's soooo much better, it procs so much with Maligaro's gloves and taking Crit chance nodes. Skip all Crit damage cause you get 300% crit damage no matter what from the gloves.
It's definitely a more sweaty build than others I think, haha. The close range skill while being a fragile sorc makes it so that you really can't afford to not focus on every particle.
Maybe someone can help me i am trying this build but for some reason i cant warp to my Balls of lightening and set off lightning warp. i can when i throw them and hit monsters but can't do it like you show in the video, i am only lvl 45 atm. Anyone know what i am doing wrong?
I've not seen anyone mentioning this issue with Warp. Can't say I've experienced it myself either. Can you elaborate more? Like, which specific part was I doing in the video that you're not able to do it?

I started playing a version of this early game and I was dying so much that I switched to Spark. Your video is making me want to try it again :O

@@eclair-desu found it, it was because i had lightning warp on my left mouse with walk. changed it over and it works fine now. could be a bug
