My favourite all time Aussie ad is the one for the yellow pages...... 'Not Happy Jan' has actually been added to the Aussie Lexicon.... it's now a common phrase lmao...
The Louie the fly ad goes back to the black and white Mortein commercial from the late 60's early 70's . Louie has been a household name from then till now . .
You guys should react to the Australia day Lamb ad series, (2014 - 2023) they have a different one each year and they are like mini stories of current Australian issues
My all time favorite was from the '80's. It was for Planters peanuts. I think it went - "Don't you hate it when you buy a bag of nuts and they're all broken or there's too much salt." "Well we sell them in a clear plastic bag because at Planters we're proud to show our nuts." I found the double entendre quite amusing.
Cordial is a concentrated sweet drink, put cold water in it on a hot day and you're popular. It is made from fruit and sugar, so some don't like it, but there is sugar free made also. We have a black one called Sarsparilla, an aussie native tree. Some hate it, but with soda water in it instead, it's great on hot days or anytime. A while back a comoany made blackcurrant juice, mum bought it for our baby sister. We snaffled it and put fizz in that too. That was yummy, but our sister couldn't keep it for herself, mum had to buy more.
The reading writing hotline, iconic. Even though it hasn't been on for years, can resite the whole ad word for word. That said i can resite 90% of thoses ad's word for word.
The music in the Carlton Draught ad is "O Fortuna" from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. It is commonly used in tv/movies because there are no copyright issues.
"I've seen the ad before" "I've heard the music" ... It's the Carmina Burana. Specifically, halfway through the opening named O Fortuna. ... no, Australians aren't educated like that, I'm just old.
I've been watching your channel for at least 6 months now, maybe close to the year mark! I'm glad to see people are loving McKenzie (sorry not sure if that's the spelling, that's how my baby cousins name is spelt but every one I know with that name is spelt differently haha) Most of all I'm just glad to see your views rise with her around because you both deserve it, hope you guys get a chance to visit down here one day!
The Aussie beer ads are beyond 😂 Especially the Carlton ads! 😂 The RACQ “Charter Boat” ad is also iconic 😂 So are the Mortein “Louie The Fly” ads. They tried to kill off Louie but had to bring him back as he is an icon in Aussie ad history and we wouldn’t let him be killed off…completely funny and off the wall as the ads are for a poison spray to kill off flys and other insects 😂😂😂
The "instrumental" is from wagners ring, old norse-myth opera about gods and dragons and stuff. They use it all the time in medieval fantasy films and war movies.
Hi sweeties! Just sitting here in Victoria, Australia sipping the beer that’s in that ad. It’s my favourite ad too. The more beers I drink the more I laugh. Makensie, you’re so cute and funny! I’m glad you’re doing this full-time now girl!
As an Australian, the best add was the “Nasi goring. Also “ not happy jan”. If you went overseas any Australian would have your back if you muttered that sentence!
The reading writing hotline ad is completely indoctrinated into the Aussie psyche! We all know that phone number off by heart! That ad has been running for over 25+ years, so not surprising it’s burned into our brains! 😂
14:41 My o;d ute got run into and was written off. So old that it is not recorded. I welded a new front on it and it is on the road again. It did not deserve to die. They become a part of the family.
Every Aussie watching this knows these Ads by heart. I'm not sure about the last one for Cottees cordials, there are far more Iconic versions of that Ad available, but he went with this watered-down (pun intended) version.
The best Aussie adds are not in this compilation......from the coke a cola adds 1960 to 1970's to the Quantas adds featuring superstar athletes, singers and the Australian Youth Choir.....and many more.
& only 3% fat. & looks at his tummy. The Mortien Ad. That's Louie the Fly. Once they tried to retire Louie & the whole of Australia was up in arms, so they brought him back.
we have million Apon millings of rabbits even more rats mice and cats all feral introduced, but the cane toads are the worst they have poison sacks right where you grab them too, a good old favorite is toad golf or toad cricket or even string ball using a toad in place of the ball or t toad where you use a toad as a ball in t ball , lol get this feral cats do micky flips when you shoot them
A subtle joke is the Emperor Nasi Goring. Nasi Goring is an Indonesian rice dish. Not an emperor, not even Chinese.
And what passed for 'Asian cuisine' at the time when the character was growing up.
Actually it's Nasi Goreng, it means fried rice.
😅 fried rice flavoured noodles.
They still taste great tho
@@daniellependock2554 fried noodles is Mie Goreng. "Rice" is "Nasi"
@kirk5152 yes it is. Sorry. I shouldn't be in the comments when half asleep 😅 my mistake

I came here to say exactly that. Get into these adverts guys
the 2024 one is out now too
Yes we've got a Dingo fence over 5 600 kms long in the Eastern States and a Rabbit proof fence over 3 200 kms long in Western Australia.
Thank macman, I should have known that but I was confused about it really. Long way away from eastern Victoria lol

I liked the Nobbys Nuts Add when she drops her hand back & it's in front of the Statue of David.

Love the fact that you brought a bit of beauty to your reactions with your girlfriend and now she can learn how great this land down under really is
The charter boat one cracks me up every time I see it, lol - love it.
As an Australian, thew Carlton draught beer ad is the best of all Aussie ads ever made
The reading writing hotline, iconic. Even though it hasn't been on for years, can resite the whole ad word for word. That said i can resite 90% of thoses ad's word for word.
The music in the Carlton Draught ad is "O Fortuna" from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. It is commonly used in tv/movies because there are no copyright issues.

... no, Australians aren't educated like that, I'm just old.
And when I was a music student in Vienna in 1970 I was in the mammoth choir that performed it at the Musikverein Wien.
The Snickers ad is much more compelling when you know that the “hangry” man is an Aussie icon that has been a Home and Away soapie star for 30+ years!
The Carlton Draught ad was filmed in New Zealand, in one of the Lord of the rings Locations, long before Tolkien was mentioned in those parts.
Yep Otago or desert rd. Spwights is better tho mate. Greetings from across the ditch

My favourites on here are the Yellow Pages "Not Happy Jan", and the RACQ "Charter Boat".
Guys, look for the Toyota bugger advert. Love from Australia
The "instrumental" is from wagners ring, old norse-myth opera about gods and dragons and stuff. They use it all the time in medieval fantasy films and war movies.
My favourite is "Not Happy Jan". After that commercial, so many Aussies started saying this when we're not happy about something.
17:14 My Aunt her family were the owners of Cottees in the old days. That is why we were not to sing the other lyrics.
Good reaction. There's also the yearly add for Lamb in January each year. Some you won't get as their a bit 'local', but most are just good fun.

Guys look up Quantas i still call Australia home
Qantas 😉
Corn smothered in salted butter ? YES PLEASE
I believe the music in the Carlton draught "it's a big ad" is Carmina burana.
As an Australian, the best add was the “Nasi goring. Also “ not happy jan”. If you went overseas any Australian would have your back if you muttered that sentence!
Love that Macca (Mackenzie) is now part of the team...
Ans also love she's becoming more confident every video
ONYA Macca.!!!!!!!!!
Check out the Sainsbury Christmas ads from Britain. Even as an (adopted Aussie), I doff my hat to those ads.
You know about the rabbit proof fence and why? I'm impressed.
Didn'y realise I was out. Now I am in and you got a like. Good on yah. I must have been commenting on the sly.
Banana Boat is one of those songs that gets stuck in you head
They missed the lactose free full cream jersey milk from Misty Mountain farms on the Atherton Tablelands in far NQ! The best milk ever! ❤
Yay! The Team is Workin!
18:17 Our beer is expensive but it is good.

Better beer ads than Dylan Mulvaney mate! 😂 Amazing!
Always fun!
Check out the ads we had from the 70s,80s, 90s, they are cool ads
its said draft the beer add

16:43 I was talking to a bloke today and I started flicking. A daddy long legs was climbing over my eye.
That's the same Cadbury ad in NZ
The milk ad is from early 2000's
Aussie lamb ads are the best
14:41 My o;d ute got run into and was written off. So old that it is not recorded. I welded a new front on it and it is on the road again. It did not deserve to die. They become a part of the family.
The cottees cordial ad doesn’t mean much unless you grew up with Cottees cordial ads.
The greatest add is the ants pants ,underwear add.
Corn is a nothing flavour until you spruce it up with a knob of butter and a lot of salt n pepper.
Every Aussie watching this knows these Ads by heart. I'm not sure about the last one for Cottees cordials, there are far more Iconic versions of that Ad available, but he went with this watered-down (pun intended) version.
The answer to every question that didnt know the answer to was,
to keep the rabbits out,
No g o g g o? Or i still call Australia home?
My dad picks his nose
It goes to snottees
There a rabbit fence around Queensland we have no rabbits here and they are illegal to have in Queensland
check out Australian beer ads, we take a lot of pride in them
What, no “Bugger” ad 🤨
That was a New Zealand ad. Good but not Australian.

Rabbit Proof Fence
Not happy jan better be on the list!
Hi. That’s pronounced Carlton Draft.
Rabbits are a massive pest in Australia so are feral cats!

When you take the music away, it takes away the impact of the ad....
Vb add couldn’t get anymore Aussie
Is that the favorite beer of australia?
Used to be has an acquired taste
I don’t agree with the Menulog ad.
we have million Apon millings of rabbits even more rats mice and cats all feral introduced, but the cane toads are the worst they have poison sacks right where you grab them too, a good old favorite is toad golf or toad cricket or even string ball using a toad in place of the ball or t toad where you use a toad as a ball in t ball , lol get this feral cats do micky flips when you shoot them
Myself, and many other teenage and not so young guys. Loved the RC. Cola add with Devine Delaney in a bikini.
Notice they said O, not zero in the number.
